President Trump Commutes Sentence of Kosher Meat Executive Sholom Rubashkin, Chabadniks Rejoice

18

I am loving President Trump. He is a Tzadik (a righteous one).

On Wednesday, students at Chabad yeshivas everywhere burst in song and dance after the White House had announced that President Donald Trump commuted the prison sentence of Sholom Rubashkin, a move supported by leaders “from across the political spectrum, from Nancy Pelosi (D-Ca) to Orrin Hatch (R-Ut).”

Sholom Mordechai Rubashkin, 58, an American Chabad rabbi, used to be the CEO of a kosher slaughterhouse and meat-packing plant in Postville, Iowa, which he had grown into the largest kosher meat producer in the United States, until the plant was cited for animal mistreatment, food and environmental safety issues, child labor, and employing illegal aliens. Mother Jones has an eye opening piece on the Judge that gave Rabbi Rubashkin 27 years.

Trump Commutes Sentence of Imprisoned Kosher Meat Executive Sholom Rubashkin

Algemeiner, December 20, 2017:

US President Donald Trump on Wednesday commuted the prison sentence of an Iowa kosher meatpacking executive who received 27 years behind bars for money laundering – the first time Trump has used the presidential power after nearly a year in office.

The decision to intervene on behalf of Sholom Rubashkin, who ran the Iowa headquarters of a family business that was the country’s largest kosher meat-processing company, came at the urging of members of Congress and other high-ranking officials who argued Rubashkin’s sentence was too harsh, the White House said.

Rubashkin was convicted in 2009 of financial fraud for submitting fake invoices to the plant’s bank that made the company’s finances appear healthier than they were so that it could borrow more. His prosecution came after federal authorities raided the plant and arrested 389 immigrants in the country illegally in 2008.

“In an op-ed titled Prosecutors, judges decry Rubashkin “witch hunt” the Des Moines Register writes: The explanation as to “why” the pursuit of Sholom Rubashkin was so overzealous that it bordered on a veritable witch hunt still remains elusive, but the clarification as to “how” is now punctiliously laid out in both the merits brief and the letter to Mr. Techau: There was false testimony and willful manipulation, and that makes this a shocking case of prosecutorial misconduct.” — Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sholom_Rubashkin

Not only did the presiding judge help plan the raids, but her husband owned significant stock in private prisons.

“The White House wrote that the commutation was “based on expressions of support from Members of Congress and a broad cross-section of the legal community” though the action “is not a Presidential pardon. It does not vacate Mr. Rubashkin’s conviction, and it leaves in place a term of supervised release and a substantial restitution obligation, which were also part of Mr. Rubashkin’s sentence.” Therefore Rubashkin was released 20 years earlier than planned.” — Wikipedia

Leftists Anti-christian/Anti-semite pro-jihadi scums should not be allowed to serve for their known discriminatory hatred/bias to these groups.

Dems including Obama have not only denied refugees status to christians from middle east who are real refugee but even have deported christians back to ISIS territory to be slaughtered by ISIS http://tinyurl.com/mtc3xch

Not one MSM media covered it !

This is the second high-profile case in as many days, where the prosecution – the government – is cited for gross misconduct.

I well recall the days when most kosher kills, in Iowa, were done at one of Gus Glazer’s Meat kill plants. For two days, the rabbis would take over the kill floor, fully clean it to kosher standards, break out their chain hoists, and all of the killing and processing was done by Lubavitchers … NOT illegal mezskins.

Sholom Rubashkin has been shown mercy, now it is time for him to repent and fix what damage he may have done.
