Mike Freeman, the Hennepin County attorney, said he doesn’t have enough evidence to charge Somali-born Muslim Officer Mohamed Noor, who shot Justine Damond behind her home. Freeman said the investigators “haven’t done their job.”
Here’s the takeaway: if you are a Muslim cop, you can kill innocent women.
Back in July, defenseless and wearing her pajamas, Justine Damond was shot to death, at point-blank range, by a Muslim Somali police officer near her Minnesota home.

Ms Damond, dressed in her pyjamas, was shot by Officer Noor after she called 911 just before midnight on July 15 to report a woman screaming in her affluent Minneapolis neighbourhood.
Officer Noor was sitting in the front passenger seat of his police vehicle in the alley and when [unarmed] Ms Damond approached in the darkness, he shot across his partner in the driver’s seat, Officer Matthew Harrity, and out the car’s window, fatally striking the Australian in the stomach. (more)
Six months later, the Muslim cop who shot Justine Damond has not been charged, and the police department remains mum on her murder. Mohamed Noor, the Minneapolis Muslim police officer who fatally shot a woman who called 911 for help, refuses to be interviewed by authorities investigating the shooting.
“I have to prove beyond a reasonable doubt, (that) the moment he shot the gun, he feared for his life. And he used force because he thought he was gonna be killed,” Freeman said. “But I can’t. He won’t answer my questions because he doesn’t have to, OK? We all have Fifth Amendment rights, and I respect that. So I can’t talk to her because she’s gone, and the other cop just gave us some (expletive), OK? So guess what? I gotta figure out angles of the shot, gun residues, reckless-use-of-force experts. I’ve got to have the evidence. And I don’t have it yet. And let me just say, it’s not my fault,” Mike Freeman said in a video that was posted on Facebook. “So if it isn’t my fault, who didn’t do their jobs? Investigators, and they don’t work for me. And they haven’t done their job.”
So that’s how a murderer gets off? By not answering questions?
–But police officer Darren Wilson went before a grand jury and a federal civil rights examination after Wilson shot Michael Brown. And Wilson had good reason. Brown attacked Wilson and grabbed for his gun when Wilson responded to reports of a robbery at a grocery store.
–No less than six officers were charged in Baltimore in the death of a suspect who died in the back of a police van in Baltimore, Maryland. Despite little evidence (there was no evidence of beating) six officers were charged with various offenses, including second-degree murder, in connection with Freddie Gray’s death. They were acquitted.
–Police officer Jason Stockley stood trial.
— Police officer Dominique Heaggan-Brown stood trial.
Mohamed Noor should stand trial.
Justin Damond’s family was “deeply distressed and unhappy” following Freeman’s remarks, said Bob Bennett, the attorney representing the family. “We expected a quality investigation that would be fair, complete and accurate, and apparently that hasn’t happened,” Bennett said.
The American media has been as silent as the Minneapolis police and Minneapolis mayor Betsey Hodges (who celebrated the murdering Muslim cop), but the Australian press (Damond was Australian) is demanding answers and rightly so. Before the cop was identified as a Muslim, the reports were all of over the left-wing sites. Cop shoots unarmed woman multiple times! Since Noor was named, all’s quiet on the Western front.
No feminazis taking to the streets on behalf of an innocent, pajama-clad woman shot in cold blood. No “Women’s marches” for Justine. No Linda Sarsour cows on parade. No leftist treasonous goons who engage in violence, chaos and destruction when a black man tries to kill a cop and the cop defends himself.
Prosecutor: Investigators ‘didn’t do their jobs’ in probe of police killing of unarmed Australian woman

A prosecutor in Minneapolis on Wednesday blasted investigators involved in the probe of the police-officer-involved shooting death of an unarmed Australian woman in July.
Mike Freeman, the Hennepin County attorney, said he doesn’t have enough evidence to charge Somali-born Officer Mohamed Noor, who shot Justine Ruszczyk Damond in an alley behind her home.
Damond had called 911 to report a possible sexual assault. As she approached the squad car, Noor fired from the passenger seat, across his partner and through the driver’s window.

“I’ve got to have the evidence. And I don’t have it yet. And let me just say, it’s not my fault,” Freeman said in a video that was posted on Facebook. “So if it isn’t my fault, who didn’t do their jobs? Investigators, and they don’t work for me. And they haven’t done their job.”
Freeman was at a Minneapolis Regional Labor Federation holiday reception Wednesday night, after he was asked about a charging decision. It was unclear if Freeman knew he was being recorded.
Freeman didn’t name the investigators or their agency, but the state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is leading the investigation. The BCA turned the case over to Freeman in September. The bureau issued a statement Thursday saying it continues to work with Freeman’s office.
“The BCA conducts the majority of officer-involved shooting investigations in Minnesota, and the collaboration between prosecutors and investigators as a case file is reviewed under the statutes is a typical part of the review process,” the BCA statement said. “State law prohibits us from providing additional details, because it is an active investigation.”
Freeman had previously said he expected to make a charging decision by the end of the year. His office acknowledged the video Thursday and did not dispute its authenticity.
“We are working diligently on the case to complete the investigation as soon as possible,” the statement said. “Beyond that, we cannot comment at this time.”
Freeman indicated that Noor’s refusal to speak had put prosecutors in a difficult position.
“I have to prove beyond a reasonable doubt, (that) the moment he shot the gun, he feared for his life. And he used force because he thought he was gonna be killed,” Freeman said. “But I can’t. He won’t answer my questions because he doesn’t have to, OK? We all have Fifth Amendment rights, and I respect that. Freeman didn’t immediately respond to a request from the Associated Press for an interview. In an email to the Star Tribune, Freeman declined to respond to questions about how investigators have failed to do their job.
“Good questions and I respect you asking them,” Freeman wrote in the email. “We are working very hard to complete our review of the facts provided in the investigation to date and to assist in helping to complete the investigation.”
Sanchez is also an organizer with the Twin Cities Coalition for Justice 4 Jamar, which was formed after the fatal shooting of Jamar Clark by a Minneapolis police officer in 2015. Freeman decided not to charge the officers involved in that case.
Sanchez told Minnesota Public Radio that he was surprised by Freeman’s honesty but disheartened that he hasn’t yet made a decision.
Minneapolis attorney Bob Bennett, who represents Damond’s relatives in Australia, told MPR he was concerned but not surprised by Freeman’s comments.
“I hope that the BCA hasn’t so irretrievably damaged the evidence, or failed to recover evidence that should be reasonably expected to be recovered at the time that the crime occurred,” Bennett said. “And I use the term ‘crime’ pointedly and intentionally.”
Noor’s attorney, Thomas Plunkett, told MPR that he was concerned by Freeman’s remark that having enough evidence to make a charging decision would be “the big present I’d like to see under the Christmas tree.” He also said the job of investigators is to gather evidence, not create it.
“No lawyer wants their client placed under a Christmas tree as a present to a vocal segment of the community. That said, this case is about an officer that follows procedure and training,” Plunkett said. “This led to the death of a very fine person, which is a horrible tragedy, but not a crime.”

I think the prosecutor is full of it. In my state, you have to at least report a negligent discharge of a weapon within 10 days or have charges filed against you. This guy says he’s got nothing. The mayor, the police department and the prosecutor all are shameful.

There is something wrong here. The prosecutor does not need to prove that Noor “was in fear of his life”. That’s up to the defense. We have a dead body, a murder weapon, a witness (Noor’s partner) and a prime suspect. What more evidence is needed to try someone for murder? It’s up to Noor to prove his innocence, not the prosecutor. This is nuts.

Hi, DaveM12. Under normal circumstances, that is the case. It is up to the defense to give evidence that it was normal procedure. Look at your Toronto example … it was a human being that shot a moslem (the vilest of ALL creatures). In this case, it’s a moslem murdering a human being. This case has disturbing similarities to the case in Yorkshire {12 Dec 2017} on here where a non Muslim female was beaten and her skull fractured by a gang of muslim youths, her “name” Nicky Hurst. She has yet to get justice from those muslims in charge too.
Miss Damond is now another victim of the principle that an ethnic minority Muslim police officer is above the law when committing manslaughter because he happens to the “right kind” of Officer. Miss Damond’s case has run into a similar sand trap to Miss Hurst’s, made up of the perps “legal rights” and silence where there should have been a willingness on his part to discharge HIS obligation explaining his actions to HER family and the court.
To be brutally honest, this is how you know that the same sickness that is infecting the body of MY society is running wild in yours in America. The Constitution is not working for Miss Damond.
Nothing could be clearer, what is NOT clear is whether people will allow this escape from Justice to continue.

This is bs I want to trust law enforcement I want them to be the good guys. Shooting of Americans turns the people against them. The Muslims I don’t like at all . If you’re any kind of cop you can kill any kind of people and not face any consequences no matter how unjustified the killing. Yeah, you’re right, the Black Lives Matter movement hasn’t been complaining about this for years. NFL Players haven’t been in the news for kneeling through the national anthem in support. I completely imagined those things and all the national news coverage that they’ve generated.
I guess it’s good to finally see BLM and Bootlickers agree that police need a bit more oversight and accountability. It’s a shame another woman had to die before it happened.

There’s something really wrong with the prosecutor’s statement that “the other cop just gave us some (expletive)”…
What is Noor’s partner hiding? Or did he reveal something else to the prosecution?
I know the partner can’t just come out and give his take without jeopardizing the prosecution’s “case”, but that statement alone, doesn’t bode well for the Damond estate.

NO Public outcry when a White woman is slaughtered by a Muslim cop? Isn’t that POLICE BRUTALITY? Is it only “police brutality” when police confront men their own size or bigger?
Again, I say that they were called to a report of a sexual assault. Everyone knows that a woman is the most likely victim of a sexual assault. When a the police cruiser arrives and a woman approaches, there is no legitimate excuse to open fire on her because she could be the victim attempting to escape the attacker.
It’s my understanding that the police go through rigorous training on a course with pop-up figures representing civilians, baby carriages, and criminals which randomly and suddenly pop up as the cops are target practicing. The police have to learn to control their reactions so that they don’t shoot grandma, coming around the corner of the building.

I’m trying to expose the fraud that is Black Lives Matter, “pigs in a blanket fry ’em up”, and all the other protesters who are so very upset and burn down entire cities when a huge man is killed by a cop. The News doesn’t even care about it and isn’t attempting to foment revolution over it.

Yeah, cops have a license to kill Muslim or not.
And the juries will rubber stamp it, just like the one in Mesa, AZ did last week. 5 minutes of torture and murder by the Mesa, AZ police department and yet the jury found the cop not guilty because the poor unarmed man crawling on the floor begging for his life didn’t DO EVERYTHING JUST EXACTLY RIGHT and so the cop’s “training” kicked in and he shot him.
Well, after all it is more important that the cop goes home at the end of his shift than it is that YOU go home at the end of his shift.
Yeah, the cop here was Muslim. So what? He’s being protected by his non-Muslim cop partner(s).
The cop in the drivers side wasn’t a Muslim was he?
He is an eyewitness, he could exonerate (yeah, my Muslim cop partner shot her because she displayed a weapon) or provide eyewitness testimony that the Muslim cop shot her for no reason (and that is what happened).
So, yeah, more Muslims fast tracked onto the police department isn’t going to work out well, but we’ve already had lots of non-Muslim cops shoot innocent people too.
You are just as dead whether a Muslim or a non-Muslim cop shoots you.

Here’s an idea instead of showing the general public Mr. mike freeman that there is a clear double standard between officers and citizens. Charge and arrest both officers involved with muder or homicide. It’s what you’d do to the average person. First one to tell the truth still gets life but with a chance for parole. A woman is dead and you are dragging your butt in the sand trying to wipe away the cling-ons. Do the right thing here. We as Minnesotans are rather sick of the bullshit!!!
