Israel’s intelligence and law enforcement agencies uncovered and thwarted 400 terror attacks on the Jewish state in 2017, according to tabulations from Shin Bet.
Nadav Argaman, who leads Shin Bet, said 54 attacks did go forth during the year. But he also added that the 54 represented a substantial decrease from the previous year. In 2016, Israel suffered 108 attacks, he said.

Speaking at a Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee meeting, Argaman noted that 13 were planned suicide attacks and eight were planned kidnappings. A further 1,100 potential lone wolf attacks were thwarted.

Argaman qualified the decrease, however, stating that “the calm we are experiencing is misleading, and Hamas is trying with all its might to carry out attacks and undermine the stability of the Palestinian Authority.”
Argaman added that the Palestinian front, in both the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, is quite unstable, “particularly after Trump’s declaration on Jerusalem.” He added that this reality is more challenging than ever in Gaza.
There have been a number of attacks in Israel in recent weeks. Two weeks ago, a security guard was stabbed and seriously wounded near the entrance of Jerusalem’s Central Bus Station. The terrorist, a 24-year-old West Bank resident named Yassin Abu al-Qara, was arrested and brought in for interrogation. Prior to the attack, he posted on Facebook that “for the sake of God and for the sake of Al-Aqsa, we will drain our blood.”
In October, 19-year-old Ron Kokia, an Israeli soldier in the Nahal Brigade, was stabbed to death at a bus stop in the southern Israeli city of Arad. Khaled Abu Judeh, a Bedouin Israeli who resides in the Negev, admitted to killing Kokia and said that his original plan was to capture a soldier in attempt to advance negotiations for the release of Palestinian prisoners.
Two weeks ago, the Shin Bet announced that it had foiled a Hamas plot to capture soldiers or settlers in the West Bank over Hanukkah. According to the Shin Bet, three Hamas operatives planned to disguise themselves as settlers and capture an Israeli soldier or settler at a bus stop near the West Bank city of Nablus. The Hamas operatives planned to exchange their captive for Palestinian prisoners.
Tensions have been high on the Gaza border since Israel struck an attack tunnel near Kibbutz Kissufim, killing a number of Islamic Jihad operatives.
Islamic Jihad attempted to carry out a retaliatory attack in Israeli territory. Because of internal struggles and the ongoing reconciliation process between Hamas and Fatah, the organization encountered difficulty in carrying out an attack from inside Gaza and focused its energies on carrying one out within the West Bank instead.
When the plan failed to take hold, however, Islamic Jihad responded by firing mortar shells at an Israeli army post near the border. After Trump’s declaration of U.S. recognition as Israel’s capital, Hamas allowed Salafist organizations in Gaza to fire rockets at Israel while attempting to coordinate efforts at carrying out a retaliatory attack in Israel from the West Bank, an operation that has not yet succeeded.

Those, students of Islam, say that one tenet of Islam is to kill “kaffirs” with a priority of killing Jews. Only raw ignorant who refuse to study Islam would reject this fact. Only the ignorant have been persuaded to use the term “islamophobe” A phobia refers to a imaginary fear. Fear of Jihadis is a real fear. Fortunately not all Muslims go along with violence. Many or most follow a mellowed form of Islam. However some have adopted “takfir” which requires them to kill Muslims whose faith differs from that of the killers in some respects.

I believe the problem facing this small country, as well as the rest of the world, is a lot greater than deporting known Jihad i’s. Though there must be many within the Arab world who will not commit acts of violence, the underlying problem remains, and that is the belief system that is Islam continues to preach and promote death to the non-Muslims and especially the Jews, and like any disease it will spread to others who will be willing to give up their lives for what they foolishly believe is a “better” afterlife, though they can never establish that an afterlife even exists. From my perspective those who would commit acts of terror are stupid and foolish and obviously extremely dangerous, especially if they actually believe the nonsense that a better afterlife awaits them. I rather doubt that the leadership, especially the Imams and other religious leaders are willing to actually give up their lives for these inane reasons, but the peon will continue to do so, as they are preached and promoted to do. Therefore, I believe that the Israeli’s need to recognize that the terror will never end until they remove the people of the Islamic culture and these people return to living with their own kind and the Arab nations take responsibility for their culture and its citizens. I know that this suggestion will not be taken lightly, and will be met with hostility, but it really is the only solution, a solution that applies throughout this world.

Defending “Maginot Line.” Did it save France in 1914 and 1940? How much it costs to “foil” those individual terrorist attempts while keeping an illusion that “peace process” is still possible to “reactivate”? Death my thousand cuts. Without drastic move to RESETTLE (expel) overwhelmingly hostile Arab (Muslim) population from the area, the problem will only worsen in coming years. Last year 400 attempts foiled, next year 1000?

It reminds me of those old handheld electronic games. You’d start off easily being able to ward off all those electronic ‘baddies’ coming at you, but as the game progressed there would be more and more of them, coming at a faster and faster rate, and try though you would to extinguish all of them there would be just too many and it would be game over. I see parallels.

Israel is a beautiful and amazing country!
Israel’s contributions and advancements to the world are exceptional, medicine, technology, agriculture, science and the arts.
The Arabs never stop trying to make life difficult for Jews in Israel. They never stop trying to bomb, kill, throw stones, set fires to Jews in Israel.
The Muslims don’t want the Jews there and want all the land for themselves.
One tiny beautiful amazing country and G-d bless Israel in 2018!

Yet, both are NOT banned in America! Have been calling for a ban and dismantling of the Demoncrap party since they are made up of communist (godless and lawless) who do nothing all day but COVET your stuff!!
Mainly through their insane wealth grab they call taxes and to keep them coming in by overwhelming Demoncrap bureaucracy.
