Denmark halts aid to several “Palestinian” NGOs over jihad terror ties

23

Bravo! This is a brilliant move, and is long overdue. Methinks that President Trump’s righteous example is giving these small nations courage to stand up to the “Palestinian” jihad and intimidation machine. This is yet more proof that one courageous individual can make a difference. We need an army of Davids, of people who are ready to heed this advice, and to do whatever it takes to defend freedom.

“Denmark halts aid to Palestinian NGO over terror ties,” by Itamar Eichner, Ynet News, December 23, 2017:

Denmark’s Foreign Ministry announced on Friday that it was halting financial aid to several Palestinian NGOs over ties with terror groups.

In addition, Copenhagen set stricter conditions for Palestinian NGOs’ eligibility for aid in the future to ensure the money is used for the right purposes, rather than go to terror groups or the BDS Movement.

The decision was made in the wake of an internal investigation in the Danish Foreign Ministry ordered by Foreign Minister Anders Samuelsen at the urging of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Strategic Affairs Minister Gilad Erdan.

Starting 2018, aid will be provided to only 10 Palestinian NGOs instead of 24.

The Danish Foreign Ministry said it will “continue to support civil society organizations focusing on the human rights situation in Palestine, which is a priority under the Danish foreign policy,” but starting next year, “the funds will be transferred under new and stricter conditions. Donor cooperation will end at the end of the year, and the remaining Danish funds from 2017 will be used for expenses related to the administrative completion of the program.”

The Danish investigation into the matter was launched after the Palestinian Women’s Affairs Technical Committee (WATC), which enjoyed Danish aid money, opened a center for women last June named after the terrorist Dalal Mughrabi, who murdered dozens of Israelis in the 1978 Coastal Road massacre.

WATC received half a million dollars through the Ramallah-based Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law Secretariat, a donor program sponsored by Denmark, the Netherlands, Sweden and Switzerland.

According to Israel’s Strategic Affairs Ministry, the Secretariat funds many Palestinian organizations that promote the de-legitimization of Israel as well as boycotts against it. Some of these NGOs, such as Al-Haq and Addameer, also have ties to the terror organization Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP)….

It is hard to argue against the giving of monetary aid to any group for humanitarian purposes, but the question always becomes are those who receive the aid actually using that aid for humanitarian purposes? Unless one can account for where the money goes and who spends it, and for what purpose, any continuing aid can be funneled into the wrong hands. Audits that are necessary, as I suggest, are very difficult to accomplish and those performing those audits must be zealous in their analysis. To fund any jihadi groups, or the BDS movement or anti-American groups is the very height of stupidity, and should simply not be allowed. I am hoping that the U.S. will do the same, as they are now proposing for the U.N., and we stop throwing our money away to those people who hate us and our allies.

If enough folks from CA start tweeting/emailing Trump about the issues you find disgusting and what you expect done they will eventually wake up. They are already doing it. Like reducing funds to states/cities that continue sanctuary city. just venting it on blogs is not enough

Given that the Danes have now reversed their course and upset the “best of people”, I expect to hear of more terrorist outrages in Denmark. The sites of which may well be lit by a few hundred candles.

The solution to all this lays directly in our own hands, and it starts with losing face by understanding reality.

“outrages”, I suspect they’ll need to brace themselves for protests and violence, they nned to stay together and strong.

Good, every cent of foreign aid must be fully accounted for. No more of civilized countries sponsoring terrorism in any form.

the wimps in the western governments never demanded that the money given to the murderer, thief, child abuser Arafat (may his putrid cadaver rots in his tomb and his soul burns in hell) submits a detailed report of how those millions of millions were spent. His so-called “widow” and “daughter” (you have to keep up appearances, right?) live in outrageous wealth…

That is why the palestinian leadership will never settle for peace, the profits of war are too enticing to fritter away on humanity and peace. Nice to see you are back.

His “Wife” lives like Royalty in a Villa on the French Rivera.
When Liver Lips died he had some $2 billion in French banks
so the French didn’t mind.

How can “Palestine” truly be free if so many of its people refuse to renounce militancy and violence? Or Islam, for that matter?

Next step is investors in security to develop construction of walls and “iron domes” around countries who want to stay free of islam. They’ll make a fortune in addition to sending a message. When artificial proxies like palestine crop up and the muslims allow their own people to be targeted at rocket sites firing into countries then drones can record it all for alternative media.

Wow, the attic lights went on in Denmark. Foreign aid to any Arab/Islamic cause should be scrutinized to the bone. Frankly, foreign aid is a waste of taxpayers’ hard earned money. Not to mention most of the recipients end up are anti-American ingrates and aspire to kill and maim innocents. Western Democracies as a whole refuse or deny the facts of Arab/Muslims’ endeavors, the annihilation of the West, especially Israel.
