A terrorist attack in Britain over Christmas is likelier than ever as around 20,000 extremists roam the country’s street, a former anti-terror chief has warned.
Story continues below advertisementChris Phillips, who was once head of the National Counter Terrorism Security Office, has said there should be ‘no surprise’ if terrorists strike before December 25.
His warning comes after ISIS propaganda threatening to attack Christmas shoppers on Britain’s High Streets.
‘The threat level is severe, which means an attack could happen at any time,’ Mr Phillips told the Daily Star Online. ‘Attacks are more frequent so no one should be surprised if there is another attack before Christmas.’
He warned that it would be impossible for police to ensure the entire country’s safety because of the sheer number of potential threats.
‘There are 20,000 people on a list. Police can’t watch them all. Police have to make difficult decisions.’
The UK was hit by four major terror attacks this year at Westminster, Manchester Arena, London Bridge and Parson’s Green Tube station.
The country’s current threat level has seen more armed police on the streets and bollards erected on pavements to prevent vehicle attacks….

Ref bollards on the street to “prevent” vehicular jihad. Saw a demo in Germany with a lorry driving at the blocks at 30 mph. It just pushed the blocks aside. Spokesman stated that “at least the public knows we are doing something”.

There is a campaign within the MSM to stop “vigilantes” already. IIRC there is a UK TV series called Jack Taylor whose primary aim is to catch Vigilantes daring to do what their government is paid to do, but wantonly fails, and that is to protect them and their families.

So I noticed, lol. As far as I’m aware it is basically the Quilliam loons and Ayaan Hirsi who are advancing that. I think in the Quilliam case it is that they are “muslims” afraid of renouncing Islam. In the case of AHA I think she wants to stay friends with the USA “elite” who invited her in and would de-friend her if she was too insistent on the need to get rid of Islam. Any others? What are the Brits going to do about it? Yeah, I already know.
