Terror-warning loudspeakers rolled out across Melbourne’s CBD

A network of loudspeakers designed to warn people of emergencies such as terrorist attacks is being set up across Melbourne ahead of New Year’s Eve celebrations
The roll-out comes as counter-terrorism experts from Australia and overseas converge on Melbourne for a forum on preventing terrorism, as authorities warn peak terror season is upon us.

Police Minister Lisa Neville said the Andrews government was setting up speakers at more than 90 key sites as part of its $10 million CBD security upgrade.
The speakers are in part a response to January’s Bourke Street tragedy, in which six people died when a man allegedly drove a car into the mall and mowed down pedestrians.

The speakers have already been installed across the city, with 65 sets already placed at locations including Federation Square, Bourke Street Mall, Flinders Street Station, the State Library and near the Town Hall.
Ms Neville said there would be a live test of the speakers at the State Library on December 28.

Knowing first hand how incompetent the Australian government is unless it’s catering for muslims/pedophiles/Aboriginal or Torres straight islanders/homosexuals every needs and to spend money on trendy things and then they are very competent at spending other people’s money in spades, diminishing freedoms, Australia has seen manufacturing diminish, power generation downscaling, large scale projects diminish (and any hope of one bogged down in redtape) and schools sexualising children and censoring the Christians exposing (a television ad was banned)
Those sirens are a perfect testimony to the inept politicaians putting Australia where it right now, the government and Obama/UN led policies is turning Australia into Tehran a shithole.

standing up for aboriginal and lgbt rights is commendable and should not be lumped together with promoting islam and sharia…i do agree that sadly many leftist liberal people need some big time introspection…for example if you cherish aboriginals culture and religion and you are fair minded about equal treatment for lgbt people, then the last thing you want to do is to promote islam and sharia since islam is inherently fascist to the core ..it is like nazism…the nazis believe in a master race whereas the muslims believe in a master faith…and both ideologies will kill to impose their will !

If Left/Liberal pro-jihadi holdovers are purged from govt , judiciary things will improve and Trump can do better job to improve security.
If you purged the leftist & globalists from the Australian political scene there would not be enough to run a stall let alone a country. The current LNP while at least not socialist firmly has its head up the muslim backside and has blatantly denied its reasons for election. The alternative parties are all so numerous that none are capable of having any real effect on the lunacy. Australia direly NEEDS ONE alternative party not 5 or 10.
