The leading American envoy for the United Nations Environmental, Scientific and Cultural Organization, or UNESCO, said anti-Israel bias is so rampant that the group is unable to bring forth any sort of beneficial measure or matter at all.
Chris Hegadorn, the U.S. envoy, said in one of America’s final speeches to the organization — final, because President Donald Trump has withdrawn from UNESCO, beginning next year — that the bureaucratic bloat and bias is mind-boggling.
He warned that America’s departure from UNESCO is simply a sign of how rotten the group has become, and that speedy reform is necessary.

The chief U.S. envoy at UNESCO says anti-Israel bias and opaque bureaucracy are hobbling the U.N. cultural agency and is urging deep reforms.
Chris Hegadorn made the appeal Saturday at the agency’s Paris headquarters in one of the last major American speeches to UNESCO before the U.S. withdraws next year.
Hegadorn said the decision to leave “wasn’t taken lightly” but was necessary because of budget reasons, UNESCO’s inclusion of Palestine as a member and countries using the agency to advance their political agendas.
He urged UNESCO to speed up spending decisions and do more to prevent violent extremism through education, notably on social media.
He said the U.S. will remain “a determined advocate for the ideals on which UNESCO was founded” and support heritage protection and educational efforts.

Unesco’s executive board approved the Arab-sponsored resolution, which repeatedly refers to only the Islamic name for a hilltop complex which is also the holiest site in Judaism.

Pay attention, the l-Aqsa mosque should go but the recent research shows that the Dome of the Rock was not a mosque and the inscriptions inside have been correctly re-translated properly using Syro-Aramaic instead of simply Arabic. This along with the established fact that Mecca (not even on any 7th century map) was not “The Sacred City” or the “Mother of Cities” (as Koran says) becoming better known should help even Muslims see Islam as a deliberate 8th century Abbasid fabrication. UNESCO designated the dome of the rock and mount, as a global heritage site.
That means, the world is protecting the site from being torn down, to build (aka..rebuild) a temple and return to the ritual of holocaust.
The extremist, must have the site and what is weird is more christians support the pursuit of the mount, than jews by a huge margin, and romans and christians torn it down in the first place because the rituals are about neanderthal.

Jew hating activities of UNESCO aside, it is no longer relevant in it’s original purpose. For the past decade many sites around the world have fought to NOT have UNESCO designate their cherished local site . They have found that when a local site is designated by UNESCO it results in a massive increase of tourists which result in an increase in deterioration because of the increase in traffic. Think Stonehenge in England and Ayers Rock in Australia. Both places have suffered some degradation from tourists that both are no longer open for close up visiting . Instead they have fences that allow people to view them from a distance only.
Being designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO is no longer a positive achievement.
