Becoming Numb To Terror Attacks ‘Might Be A Good Thing,’ Vox Writes

Story continues below advertisementVox published an article Thursday suggesting it might be a “good thing” for people to be desensitized to acts of terror, in the hopes of frustrating future terrorists.
The Vox piece drew heavily from another article published by Slate, in which authors Amarnath Amarasingam and Colin P. Clarke wrote that terror incidents may be on the rise, but this doesn’t mean more people are fearing for their safety.
“The common assumption is that more terrorism inevitably means people are more terrified, but some research suggests the opposite,” Amarasingam and Clarke wrote. “In essence, individuals find ways to integrate and normalize some violence as part of their life.”
Vox agreed with the article’s sentiment, and published its own Q&A with the authors. In the interview, Amarasingam doubled down on his initial claim and said, “in a way normalizing terrorism is good.”
Q: So people have become desensitized to terror? It’s just another thing we learn to live with, like hurricanes or car accidents?
A: Exactly. And I’ll add that this is actually a good thing in some ways. If terrorism is normalized for people, both jihadist and far-right violence, they are less likely, maybe, to support crazy laws that impact their civil liberties and the rights of others. It’s only when you introduce a sudden sense of fear, one that people don’t understand, that they become kind of irrationally protectionist. So in a way normalizing terrorism is good.
This article comes on the heels of Tuesday’s terror attack in New York City where Sayfullo Saipov took the lives of eight people when he rammed his rental truck into a bike lane, shouting “Allahu Akbar” before being wounded by police.

Amarnath Amarasingam and Colin P. Clarke are typical snow flakes, they have no functional concept of reality. The world they live in is one of socialist make-believe. In reality, terrorists will increase their criminal activity, not that anyone is going to give them the control of society that the qur’an and shariah demand, note that in islamic countries, murder and crime rate accelerates under islam. The normal reaction to terrorist activity is to eliminate terrorists.

Astounding, and not at all. Normalizing terror, normalizes violence, normalizes the worst in human nature. Remove moral standards — hey, it’s not a big deal if a terror attack kills 5 or 50 or 500 — as a necessary step to a brutal dictatorship one world government — which will have zero morals, zero hesitation to kill millions, as has happened in history.
It certainly paves the way for Islam — the daily violence to which Muslims are subjected, and which they witness, would shatter you as any kind of moral, compassionate, thinking human being. You cannot afford to feel anything but blind obedience to the state, hoping that the violence you see happen to others, doesn’t happen to you.
The ‘norm’ of life under Sharia law is constant violence, brutality, evil, killings.
I refuse to normalize it. I would rather execute each one who carries out any act of terror.

Or in some countries bring them out and dress them, or even DANCE with them. Children mingle around their dead bodies.
In other TURD world countries people take pictures of accident victims with torn mashed bodies and everybody just gawks and police do nothing.
Americans have more sense then that. We never do those things out of respect of human life. Things like this make US the GREATEST country in the world.
