Islamic threat against San Diego Mormon Temple

157

Apparently American’s most famous Mormon, Mitt Romney, garnered no favor when he insisted that Islam is not a violent faith.

But remember, it’s the Muslims who are the true victims of Islamic terror, or so we are constantly told by their leftist lapdogs in the media. So if the Mormons get blown up, remember to apologize to Muslims and think kindly of Islam.

This is a portrayal of the Mormon temple in San Diego, CA published by ISIS or an affiliate. It was noted yesterday and reproduced by AVOW, a subscription-based web site.

Story continues below advertisement

Here is the info that the AVOW site gave regarding the image:

Islamic State media arm circulating new propaganda poster threatening Christmas season attack on San Diego, CA Mormon Temple.

Supplemental Info:

Note the Christmas accents and appearance of blood on the lettering in the image below.

LDS AVOW warns that many, but not all, attacks in the West during the last few years have been preceded by such posters.Vigilance urged.

Muslims are united in their goal of occupation , domination , terrorising and subjugation and practice Islamic Art Of Occupation & Ethnic Cleansing Without Killing http://bit.ly/2y1iju8

Clarification, Romney does not speak for the members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He is a member who is allowed to believe as he may believe, but those beliefs on political issues are his alone. Yes, there are “Mormons” who voted for him, but consider this, his voters are mostly Non-Mormons. Even if every Mormon in the States voted in favor of him, it would still take a vastly larger portion of the Non-Mormon citizens to actually elect him. Meaning almost all of his supporters would still have to be Non-Mormons in order to elect him.

On that note, the Scientologists (and I know very little about them)..

But the Scientologists have a concept that even an agnostic like me might agree with called: “Disconnect”. (which means disconnect anyone in your life that can have a negative influence on you).

In the case of Radical Islam, “Disconnecting” them from Western society sounds like a good idea!

You must be in Canada! Say anything truthful but uncomplimentary about Muslims or Islam and most Canadian recoil or are reduced to whispering – in their own country! This is what it was like living behind the Iron Curtain! And now Canada’s kangaroo courts, the Human Rights Commissions are going to get involved in Toronto policing, to watch for any ‘profiling’. The most effective opponents of terrorism are the Israelis and they constantly use profiling to identify criminals or potential terrorists, so once again Canada sinks further into insane actions that will endanger decent citizens.

Muslims truly are a curse wherever they go, never create harmony or happiness and delight in misery. It’s a real pity that so many people fail to read the Qur’an to see it’s hatred, intolerance and bigotry. Reading about their home lives reveals character mutilating activities, not least violence and devaluing of females, with resulting warped personalities. These are generally very sick people.

Well, then you are very fortunate to be where you are because just this week I once again watched an acquaintance with whom I was chatting lower their voice and furtively look around in the hope that no one was hearing our conversation in which we mentioned Islam. Canada’s kangaroo courts, otherwise known as Human Rights Commissions – that would be an affront to any true democracy – have hounded and heavily fined Ezra Levant for his legitimate criticism of Islam and violent Muslim behaviour, and after being hounded by HRCs for the umpteenth time after in Canada giving his similar views on Islam and violent Muslim behaviour, Mark Steyn turned his back on Canada and went to live in the U.S. If Motion 103 does morph into law, legitimate criticism of Islam and violent Muslim behaviour could become detrimental to our liberty in what is now possibly the world champion political correctness country.

Rob Porter

Reply to  Kenek

4.41% of the population are controlling Canada ONLY because extremely stupid, ignorant of Islam, politically correct individuals who pass for ‘leaders’, people who have little faith in the superior-to-Islam Canadian institutions and values are allowing Muslims to do this.

About 28 years ago on CBC tv I saw the seeds of this failure. Interviewed was a man who was introduced as Canada’s leading sociologist and I’ve never forgotten one thing he said; “Canadian don’t believe in anything much anymore”. New back in Canada I found that very disturbing and I was right to be disturbed because it was a harbinger of things to come. The result of this development? No longer a belief in God, no longer a belief in Judeo-Christian values, no more Lord’s prayer in schools, things that pass for ‘values’ determine the way things are done, but these are not ‘values’, they are feckless, faddish, transient, flavour-of-the-month ideas. There is nothing underpinning these ideas and they are not true values. Worst of all, some Canadians, such as the shallow, empty-headed Justin Trudeau and many of his ilk – i.e. Canada’s ‘elite’ – consider this is enormously clever. Just think of the Pierre Berton and Margaret Atwood types. Canada is now like a small-town club where a few people determine the way things are done, and a now pretty stupid, unsophisticated, thoughtless, complacent and apathetic citizenry put them in office and are allowing them to do the stupid things these ‘leaders’ are doing. If you think of the collapse of the Athenian, Roman and Byzantine Empires, even the collapse of the Ottoman Empire, you see the seed of this collapse. Stupid, cowardly leadership at all levels plays are role, whether the Prime Minister, a premier like Kathleen Wynne or stupid, visionless mayors like those Toronto, Mississauga and Brampton. Weak, ignorant, visionless individuals. Canadians can scorn Donald Trump till their silly heart’s content – or dislike Margaret Thatcher the way many did – but Canada does not have a maverick, independently minded, thinking person like Trump who really believes in his country at the helm, running the show and changing it’s failing direction.

This is a P.S. RE “How pathetic are we?”
I’ll say this, I challenge pretty much everything. I have 2 grandchildren in my custody and when the school teaches them garbage I challenge. When they with the rest of the school were herded into the school hall to sing “the Ramadan song” I gave the school, principal and music teacher grief over that. I’ve written to both PM Trudeau and Immigration Minister Ahmed Hussen regarding their disgraceful decision to allow ISIS savages to return to Canada – and in return received pitifully stupid responses! Not the first time Re Ralph Goodale questioning Trudeau about this, I wrote to encourage him not be believe Trudeau’s irresponsible crap. The trouble is this, I don’t know anyone who does similarly and I can see that most think I am weird for telling the authorities that they are out to lunch. Actually, I don’t care what people think when they are too gutless to do something about challenging when things are going badly wrong.

I’m sorry this happened to you. I’m LDS and have been my whole life. I grew up in Utah and know that not all members of the church are loving and peaceful. But they don’t speak for all of us. The ones who tormented you were acting in contrary to the teachings that they have been taught. I, of course, have many friends and family that are members. But also just as many who are not. I have friends who are Muslim, friends who are openly gay, a sister who is atheist and against all religion, and many others of different faiths. We get along just fine. But unfortunately, with ALL religions and beliefs, there will always be those who don’t play nice and give their fellow believers a bad name. Again I am sorry that this happened. It shouldn’t happen to anyone. I am embarrassed by their behavior.

I’ve been reading the book by Tommy Robinson and Peter McLoughlin called Mohammed’s Koran, Why Muslims Kill for Islam. I find it very enlightening. Been trying to understand the Koran for many years now. This book explains how muslims read the koran and it clears things up immensely. I have a lot of respect for Mr Robinson and other warriors against Islam like Geert Wilders. Just don’t want it to get as bad here in the US.

You know, they did this to the ancient Prophets, apostles, and leaders. Compared to what reference?

More importantly, how does a young man with only a third grade education and interested more in farm work than anything else invent an entire history on a whim? It doesn’t make sense for someone who’s had next to no creative endeavors in his life.

“A Bible! A Bible! We have got a Bible!” Whether true or false, the Book of Mormon sure gets that one right. worshipping the Bible is called idolatry. It’s not the 4th member of the Trinity, it’s a compilation of various letters and accounts that were assembled together by MAN hundreds of years after Christ walked the earth. Not to mention edited and changed and rewritten a LOT. If you actually did historical research you would know that.

Dorrie you are just ignorant…of lots of things. Study your own falsehoods like the: Trinity (you will never find the words: “essence” or “substance” in the bible in either Classical Hebrew or Koine Greek or Aramaic), “sola scriptura”, “Solo fide”, arminianism vs calvinism, paid ministry being not taught in the scripture, etc….you need an education badly…I mean badly.

Joe Hunter

Dorrie no you did not. You basically take all your material from “The God Makers” by Ed Decker which I already said was debunked as full of lies, half-truths, deception, and falsehoods. Gotta love those who claim to be “experts” in Mormonism….lol…when those “in-the-know” know where your sources derive from. How about you actual use primary sources. As for your ridiculous comment about plagiarization of Isaiah as found in the Book of Mormon. Let me educate you a little as the problem with you is that you seem to lack basic knowledge of not only the Bible and history and manuscripts but also of Mormonism.

The quotation of Isaiah 2:16 by 2 Nephi 12:16, “And upon all the ships of the sea, and upon all the ships of Tarshish, and upon all pleasant pictures” is sometimes used as evidence of an ancient source for the Book of Mormon. The KJV contains only half the phrase, while the Septuagint contains the other half. Some Book of Mormon scholars conclude that an ancient text contained the phrase intact, which the Book of Mormon used as a source, while the Septuagint and the KJV each lost a different half. However, modern scholarship suggests that Isaiah 2:16 is part of a poetic section and is a rhyming couplet; the Book of Mormon contains three phrases at this section where the meter dictates there should be only two, though which of the two is still debated.

One FARMS researcher, John A. Tvedtnes, performed comparisons of the Isaiah variants found in the Book of Mormon with the following versions of the Book of Isaiah: the Hebrew Massoretic text, the Dead Sea scrolls found at Qumran, the Aramaic Targumim, the Peshitta, the Septuagint, the Old Latin and Vulgate, and the Isaiah passages which are quoted in the New Testament. He argues that some of these comparisons show support for the Book of Mormon passages as having been derived from an ancient text.

Just for starters….

And all that crap about what you think we believe? It’s almost funny, except you actually believe this. Please cure your ignorance and don’t spread stuff that simply is not even close to what we really believe. Mormons are just as Diverse as everyone else and no one tells us what to think. We read the scriptures, we have lessons about the scriptures, and we have leaders who teach us lesson from the scriptures. They ask us to find out for ourselves by study and prayer and asking God himself if he approves or what he ordained to be revealed truth. We go to the horses mouth and ask him to confirm the truth to us. If we get our answer, we get our conversion and testimony. Anyone is welcome to come and go as they please. Anyone is welcome to believe what poliitical idealoogies they choose to embrace. We don’t teach political retoric. Just the scriptures and the Doctrine of Jesus Christ. And our own history. We know our own history, through written documentation and family heritage. And I can tell you that you are way off. Whoever told you this junk was brainwashed, not the other way around. We are told to make up our own mind and find out for ourselves. We don’t just follow what people tell us.

My friend said that he seriously questioned his own faith when he was a missionary. He told me (with his permission) that after pouring his heart out in prayer one night, he had a dream that pretty much changed his outlook on his life at the time, and ended up sticking it out, through both good times and bad. He wouldn’t elaborate on his dream and I didn’t want to press him on it, but if something as simple as a dream can persuade someone to action (like Pharaoh’s dream did in Genesis), then maybe it can still happen to anyone.

I find a great difficulty with this article. Not knowing if the validity of the threat is true or not and the fact that right under this article is a link to sell a book, which is in very poor taste to say the least. Regardless of its validity the fact that this link seemingly is using this fear, or issue which is a threat to human lives as a promotion to make money says too that there’s something even more scary and wrong with our world as well. We beleive in the Divinity of Christ in every sense of the word. We believe everything the Bible teaches about Christ and understand it more deeply the entirety of the breadth of the purpose of Christs Mission because we understand how significantly his atonement covers the entire world. We know, as the bible states, that “there are other sheep not of this fold, them also must I bring” that he is the savior of the entire world, not just a few and that he visited others and wanted his law to be taught among other people and provide salvation to those who have never heard of his name. No other Christian religion provides the answers for how he is able to perform this ability, because no one else has the full knowledge of the pure gospel as much was not put in the bible and much was taken away when it was compiled and revelation was quieted until the last dispensation was opened just as Isaiah said would happen. Study the entire bible, not just tidbits. It’s ALL there. Go to the vatican, read the ancient texts and research the dead sea scrolls if you want a surprise. We beleive the bible is true and that Jesus Christ is God and testify that he is the only way to salvation and exhaltation. Your list is tainted with lies and deception about the truth of what we actually beleive and what the gospel actually is. We know that Christ is in fact the savior of the world and our God. We also know and understand the relationship of our heavenly father and his son Jesus Christ as it is written and understood in the bible, that many have obscured with frustrating descriptions based on the Nicene creed that a bunch of religions got together to decide what they beleived, rather than ask God and get it directly from him. You want the answer, Ask God. Don’t rely on heresay and other people’s opinions. If you want to understand a scripture, ask him, ask the source. Anyone here wanting a good overview of some of the finer arguments against our basic theology, go to http://www.mrmormon.com. He has an excellent bunch of audio discourses that are entertaining and enligtening about what we really beleive and how the bible supports our beleifs to a T, well IS OUR BELIEFS. Also, read John 10 again. Really read it. THe KJV, not this new age changed stuff. Too bad you can’t read it in hebrew, which has more appropriate verbage, but KJV. Please stop beleiveing crap that simply is not true.

Oh, okay, so Jesus Christ is a false god then. Good to know. If you’re referring to 2 Corinthians 11:3-4, which reads: “But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his
subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.” Paul refers to false preachers who teach doctrines that are not of Christ. I’m not entirely sure what you’re trying to get at or what example you’re trying to use out of the Mormons’ second scriptures to make your case.

Also, your truth is mostly lies at its core. The article you posted is based largely on conjecture and fear-mongering. I mean, you’re no better than the guy who hosts a failing show called “Heart of the Matter.” It’s all anti-Mormon drivel that just adds on to the growing pile of people who haven’t stopped attacking since Joseph Smith’s murder. Silent Political Yeoman

For the record, I’m not one of them. I simply find it unfair to constantly attack Mormons for having a different set of beliefs aside from mainstream Christianity.

I take issue with your claim of “salvation by grace through faith,” simply because it implies that faith is all we need to be saved. Well, if that’s all it takes, then why do anything else? As long as I simply believe, then I’m good to go.
Frankly, that’s just laziness. One thing I do agree with Mormons about is that faith without works is dead. That’s like saying I believe water will keep me alive but I don’t need to drink it.

Yes Jesus warns us of false prophets…what you don’t seem to get is that this begets there would be true prophets too. Ephesians chapter 2 and 4 talk about the church being built upon “prophets and apostles”…as the foundation for the church. Nowhere in scripture does it say the Lord would not send anymore prophets. As a matter of FACT…it tells us we need “prophets and apostles” to guide us.

Ephesians chapter 4 vs 11- 14

11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

So without them we could not perfect the saints (members of the church were called “saints” (holy ones), nor could we come to the “unity of the faith” without those prophets and apostles…and we need them so we are not “tossed to and fro” with every doctrine man would make up….um…where are your prophets and apostles today?…don’t say the Bible…because here is a secret you ignorant false christian seem to not grasp….the Bible was not compiled and in most peoples hands until around the 18th century with the printing press and where it was affordable only in the 19th century for most to own….so does that mean all the Christians that predated owning a bible….were not Christian then? Simpleton.

Joe Hunter
Joe Hunter

Did you know Dorrie…that the Jews used the same argument against the Christians of the first century? When the first Christians proselytized amongst the Jews after the revelation was given to do so…the Jews would cling to their TaNahk (their scriptures) and cite Deut 4:2 claiming no more revelation was to be given after Amos. Yet, we are so fortunate those early converts to the “new Jewish faith” (Christianity)…listened to the Holy Spirit and did not depend upon the false theories of man as taught by the main church (Jewish Synagogue) of their time. I bet if you lived in those days you too would have rejected “another testimony of the Messiah (Christ)”…the rebellious spirit you now possess would have possessed you then to …to reject the truth.

BIBLE VERSES AS PREFACE TO BOOK OF MORMON

Genesis 49:22-26 1Nephi 1:18-20, 2:1-2, 6:1-2

2Peter 1:20-21 2Nephi 28:30-31
Revelation 14:6-7 Moroni 7:21-32
These Bible references denote events, or doctrines of the Bible which are fulfilled or illuminated in the Book of Mormon as noted in the reference across from it. The object is to feel the Spirit of the Book of Mormon, the Holy Ghost, which motivated the prophets in both cases. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God revealed in the Americas. It is the “Stick of Joseph” as the scrolls were referred to in Ezekiel. This means that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God, which was prophesied in 2Nephi chapter 3. Word of God = Prophet. All personal and organizational criticisms do not matter (they are really unknowns). What is known is that when I want to be close to God, understand doctrines, feel strong testimonies of Christ and His Atonement, I get all that by reading the Book of Mormon as well as the Bible. Why is there another testament of Christ? To convince the Jews and all others who have rejected the scriptures that are a product of Christ’s Church in the New Testament.

Good thought, and so testified the prophet Lehi in the “book from the dust” or the “Stick of Joseph”, “6 Wherefore, redemption cometh in and through the Holy Messiah; for he is full of grace and truth.
7 Behold, he offereth himself a sacrifice for sin, to answer the ends of the law, unto all those who have a broken heart and a contrite spirit; and unto none else can the ends of the law be answered.
8 Wherefore, how great the importance to make these things known unto the inhabitants of the earth, that they may know that there is no flesh that can dwell in the presence of God, save it be through the merits, and mercy, and grace of the Holy Messiah, who layeth down his life according to the flesh, and taketh it again by the power of the Spirit, that he may bring to pass the resurrection of the dead, being the first that should rise.
9 Wherefore, he is the firstfruits unto God, inasmuch as he shall make intercession for all the children of men; and they that believe in him shall be saved.” From 2Nephi, chapter 2.
Dorrie, if you love Jesus, you will love the Book of Mormon. It contains 17 chapters of his personal instruction to his “other sheep”. It is the “marvelous work and a wonder”, the book referenced in the 29th chapter of Isaiah. It testifies of Christ and references the Savior more than any other scripture. To me it is the Book of the Atonement. As Moroni completed his father, Mormon’s compilation he left this promise, “3 Behold, I would exhort you that when ye shall read these things, if it be wisdom in God that ye should read them, that ye would remember how merciful the Lord hath been unto the children of men, from the creation of Adam even down until the time that ye shall receive these things, and ponder it in your hearts.
4 And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost.
5 And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things.

As one who has read and studied the Book of Mormon, I can testify that it is the word of God, the words of prophets who lived in the Americas. There are external and internal evidences. Mormon, the compiler added this note to his people in his seventh chapter, “8 Therefore repent, and be baptized in the name of Jesus, and lay hold upon the gospel of Christ, which shall be set before you, not only in this record but also in the record which shall come unto the Gentiles from the Jews, which record shall come from the Gentiles unto you.
9 For behold, this is written for the intent that ye may believe that; and if ye believe that ye will believe this also; and if ye believe this ye will know concerning your fathers, and also the marvelous works which were wrought by the power of God among them.
