Israel: Muslim MK Zoabi says Jews not entitled to self-determination, but “Palestinians” are

Zoabi said “the Jews are not a nationality, so we cannot talk about self-determination for the Jewish people.”

I would agree, at least since the diaspora, Jews art not a nationality. German Jews historically had little in common with Yemeni Jews- other than their shared religion and something of a common genetic heritage. But Jews are a group of people bound by a common religious heritage (one that doesn’t compel them to make war on the infidel) and a long term aspiration to return to their native land.

“Palestinians” are a fake nationality, one that was created in the last century and only assumed a widespread acceptance after the 1967 Arab Israeli war. Even then, much of that identity was tactical. For example, the head of a PLO splinter group- I’ve forgotten his name- declared something to the effect that “all people need a myth, and right now we need a myth of a Palestinian identity. Once we have defeated Israel, all of Palestine will unite with Jordan.” You may recall this was a time when there was much talk of “the Arab nation” and Syria and Egypt had formed a “nation” called the United Arab Republic” (it didn’t work).

Try asking a “Palestinian” what was the name of a Palestinian national leader before 1950. Or ask what was the name of the currency the nation of “Palestine” had? On any date in history, what was its conversion rate to, say, the British pound. Or ask when, historically, the land the Romans called Palestinae, in an effort to remove the Jewish connotations of the word Judea, became Arab. Was it when the forces of jihad swept into the area in the 7th century?. You will get some entertaining answers.

There was, and is today, a nation called Israel. Jews have a much better claim to being indigenous to the Holy Land than people of European- or Arab- ancestry do to North America.

There was never a nation called Palestine. Palestine is a nation that never was for a people who never were.

I wonder if that creature has any concept of hypocrisy? I do mean this as muslims seem to be the absolute ultimate hypocrites , yet if you tell them this they become(*shock*) offended. It would seem that the use of the words is known but that the concept of supremacist hypocrisy is so well indoctrinated that they do not see themselves actually doing it as it is not choice but automatic. This is exactly the sort of Pavlovian response that children indoctrinated by communism or Nazism showed and in the latter case it took less than 10 years while islam has had 1350.

“The fact that she is a member of the Knesset gives the lie to the entire “Palestinian” victimhood narrative.” Completely false. Arab members of the Knesset are suspended the moment they do the least thing for Palestinians. The most recent example of this, that I know of, is the case of Jamal Zahalka, who was suspended from the Knesset because he attended a meeting with the families of Palestinians killed by Israeli forces and whose bodies were held by Israel.

Arabs in the Knesset are little more than instances of political showcasing. They don’t have any real authority or power. They serve as false icons, as distraction, to which the government of Israel points as it foments hate and racism against Arab citizens of Israel and Palestinians.
