President Donald Trump’s so-called travel ban has received a bit of backing from the country’s highest court, after justices tossed a case that challenged the White House’s legal authority to clamp U.S. borders by banning, for a temporary time, entry of individuals from hotspot terror nations.
The left, you can be certain, is going nuts.
Amnesty supporters say the president doesn’t have any right to control borders by banning entry to some, and not others — even thought the people Trump wants to halt from entering are hailing from countries that even Barack Obama identified as tied to terror.

The U.S. Supreme Court dismissed a case against President Donald Trump’s controversial executive order restricting travel and immigration from several terror-prone states on Tuesday.
The reason: the president issued a new version of the order last month that replaces the older version that had been the subject of litigation in the Fourth Circuit, rendering the case moot.Though many lower federal courts in liberal circuits ruled against the executive order, the Trump administration was set for victory in June, when the Supreme Court lifted an injunction against the enforcement of the so-called “travel ban,” leaving the case to be argued in the fall. Monday’s decision by the U.S. Supreme Court to lift the injunction against most of President Donald Trump’s “travel ban” is a major victory — and not just because he will be able to implement the policy, but because the case is only scheduled to be heard in the fall, i.e. in October at the earliest.
Because most of the controversial provisions of the executive order only last 90 days, Trump it could be fully implemented before the Court hears the case.
The Court is prevented from hearing disputes that are already moot. There must be an active case or controversy in order for challenges to the executive order to be heard.

Trump can “win” simply by following through on the executive order, then declaring it fulfilled before the Court hears the various challenges to the case, cutting the Gordian Knot of legal theories and advancing his policies.
The president went even further, issuing an executive order that includes two non-Muslim countries — North Korea and Venezuela — among the seven that are subject to the new restrictions. That fact would make any claim of religious discrimination less likely to prevail.
The Supreme Court did not rule on the merits of the arguments in the lower courts — though, as USA Today points out, Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor would have preferred that the case be dismissed without vacating the lower court’s decision. Another case that is pending from the Ninth Circuit is also likely to be vacated. There are already lawsuits in both circuits against the new executive order, but the fight is largely over, and Trump has won.

Agree. After the Latest Jihadi attacks Most Pro-Islam Left/liberal Leaders would not even talk about “Islamic terrorist” http://bit.ly/2idyQrO
Because they are deliberately covering up the truth and only way to fight back is support conservative blogs/websites/youtubers, share them , to speak the truth and call out these Leaders as Islamonazi jihadi apologist/enablers and not elect them if citizens value their life/country.

The EU wishes it could do what we just did, but they don’t have any leaders who have the courage and will of Mr. Trump.
(not saying the man is a saint, or a traditional hero, but he is an “anti-hero”, like the Punisher! or a Billionaire like Batman with a gun).

I think that considering the leftist infiltration at all levels in ALL of the west, of the bureaucracy and elsewhere, we have to take every win in a minor skirmish as a success, however small. They said LBJ fought with one hand tied behind his back WRT Vietnam well Trump damn near has both and his legs tied up by the Obama shadow cabinet(reminds me of the black knight in the Holy Grail…fight with what you have and never give up). Every mm counts.

Presidents and governments have EVERY right to decide who does or doesn’t enter their countries, charged as they are with ensuring the peace, prosperity and safety of the people they represent.
The countries of the West would not be in the mess they are now in had they been selective about who they allowed in, instead of being blinded by political correctness and fantasies of multiculturalism and “diversity”, and allowing virtually unchecked mass immigration from the Third World.

First of all, there is no innocent reason for wanting lax border enforcement or relaxed voter ID laws. Though the left uses the misleading narrative that the ban targets “muslime majority nations”, they neglect to mention those are also failed states.

The victory needs to be cemented with the scalps of the judges who imposed the delays of implementation. Not only should they be removed from office, they should be held personally responsible for any crimes committed by any person who entered the US under the legal stays. I further say, we should contract out all the judicial positions in the Western district with accountable judges. The courts have become politicalized and corrupted by Democratic nominees.
