Ten dead in Islamist radical attack in Mozambique

At least 10 people were killed in an attack by a group of Islamist radicals in the village of Mocímboa da Praia, in the northern Mozambican province of Cabo Delgado.
By 4:00 pm local time, the radical group was still in the village, which was divided between the armed group and government forces.
Police spokesman Inacio Dina confirmed at a news conference the death of 14 members of the radical group and two police officers, according to the newspaper Expresso.
The extremists assaulted a police station and several banks.
Circulation is limited and state institutions are all closed.
According to data collected by the newspaper Expresso, this is a branch of the Islamic group Al-Shabaab, with links to Somalia and Kenya.
