The SPLC should be on watch lists and should be listed as a terror-tied hate organizations. Their members kill people. Their leadership destroys people. And this story shows how dangerously careless they are.
“SPLC Puts ‘Stonewall’ School on Hate Map that was Named After a Rock Wall,” by Trey Sanchez, Truth Revolt, October 20, 2017 (thanks to Todd):
The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), in its anxiousness to erase US history, erroneously included Stonewall Elementary School in Lexington, Kentucky, on its latest “hate map” because they assumed it was named after Confederate General Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson. However, the school was named after a literal stone wall that is historic to the area.
Story continues below advertisementThe hate group was informed of their error by the school and local historians who explained that an old masonry wall stood on the land of a local farmer and his family. A subdivision was later built on the property, along with the school, decades ago and was named Stonewall Estates. The school took on the name of the neighborhood. Portions of the wall still stand and the entrance to the neighborhood is built from the old stones.
The SPLC, which is fantastic at getting conservatives killed for their beliefs through these so-called hate maps, apologized for the inclusion and removed the school.
“It has been removed from our interactive map and is not included in the data set we’ve been providing to journalists since Charlottesville,” a director from the SPLC said.
That offers little comfort knowing that the school was active on the map for the last two months and could’ve have become a target of Antifa, or other leftists, hell-bent on destroying confederate monuments. SPLC’s maps have been used before in violent attacks, and this map came with a warning that, “More than 1,500 Confederate monuments stand in communities like Charlottesville with the potential to unleash more turmoil and bloodshed,” and urged people to “take them down.”…

SPLC should be exposed as “hate group” and it can be done if every conservative makes this statement just as the Left use SPLC ” hate list” to smear conservatives .

Their (SPLC) stupidity is deliberate and is costing lives! They must have know pretty well that ‘Stonewall’ had absolutely nothing to do with Confederate General Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson and nevertheless they “recklessly” proceed to put that school on their “hate map.” Done intentionally in my humble opinion. Don’t ever accept it as mere “innocent mistake” by educated lawyers, even if they are nothing but shyster lawyers!

Ignore s p l c, as it is clearly a self serving money grubbing organization dedicated to paying large salaries to its executive. Last year they spent a few thousand dollars on legal assistance to “deserving” people, while the administrative salaries were in the millions of dollars. Only stooges like apple computer and other progressively brain dead wanna be’s support them.

Renaming anything for political reasons is a political act. And sometimes that very act is guided by hatred. What is funny is that the hatred is by those who claim that the name of a school, a person, or a monument – anything, for that matter – is hateful sometimes need to step back and see themselves before condemning a name.
