Inside the rental truck, investigators found a handwritten note in which Sayfullo Saipov had declared his allegiance to the Islamic State, according to officials. Sayfullo means sword of Allah. The allegiance is to Islam – whether it’s ISIS, al Qaeda, Hamas, Hezb’Allah, al Shabaab, Boko Haram and on and on on. He also had a bag with a big hunting knife.
The jihadi screamed ‘Allahu Akbar,’ which was Muhammad’s jihad war cry. “Allah is greater [than your god]!”

NEW YORK — A 29-year-old man driving a rental truck plowed down people on a Manhattan bike path Tuesday in what authorities described as a terrorist attack that killed eight and injured 11 before the suspect was shot and arrested by police.
A sunny fall day along the Hudson River erupted in chaos just around the time students were getting out from nearby Stuyvesant High School, when a rented Home Depot truck turned on to the bike path along the West Side Highway.
Witnesses say the speeding truck struck unsuspecting bicyclists and pedestrians while onlookers screamed and scattered. The truck then veered left toward Chambers Street, where it collided with a small school bus, injuring two adults and two children inside, officials said.
According to a video from the scene, the man then jumped out of the wrecked vehicle brandishing what appeared to be handguns. Some witnesses said he shouted “Allahu akbar’’ meaning “God is great’’ in Arabic.
Law enforcement officials, speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss an open investigation, identified the suspect as Sayfullo Saipov, an Uzbek immigrant who had been living in Tampa.
The attack could intensify the political debate over immigration and security. President Trump has argued for much tougher screening of immigrants to prevent terrorism, and opponents of those policies have sought to block his efforts in the courts. Uzbekistan was not among the countries named in any version of the president’s travel ban, which largely targeted a number of majority-Muslim countries.

Trump responded to the attack on Twitter, saying it “looks like another attack by a very sick and deranged person.’’ He tweeted a short time later: “We must not allow ISIS to return, or enter, our country after defeating them in the Middle East and elsewhere. Enough!” ISIS is an acronym for the Islamic State.
On Tuesday night Trump said he was tightening immigrant screening, tweeting: “I have just ordered Homeland Security to step up our already Extreme Vetting Program. Being politically correct is fine, but not for this!”
There was no immediate indication that the attack had been directed by the Islamic State. However, the group has called on its supporters in Western countries to launch their own attacks, using anything at hand as weapons, including vehicles.
Inside the rental truck, investigators found a handwritten note in which Saipov had declared his allegiance to the Islamic State, according to officials.
Saipov is expected to survive, meaning investigators will likely have a chance to question him about his motive for the attack, but so far, they said, he appears to have been a “lone wolf’’ suspect – someone who acted alone after being inspired, but not directly instructed, by the Islamic State.
He had been living in Paterson, New Jersey before the attack, and rented the vehicle in that state before driving it into Manhattan, officials said.

Of the millions and millions of poor, alienated, stressed out people living around the world how come it is overwhelmingly Muslims who express their alienation by killing innocent women and children?

It is a fact that 98% of terror attacks around the world in the past couple of decades are motivated by Islam. Furthermore, we don’t yet know the motive of the Las Vegas shooter, but ISIS has claimed several times that he did it for them. Furthermore, there he was not a Christian. He never attended any church and was not raised up in a church.

Islam is an ideology that promotes violence, slavery, war, pedophilia, rape, etc in it’s very writings.
It’s not just that Muslims are doing evil acts, it’s actually written that they can and must do these acts.
I know people who are Muslims, and they don’t seem to follow the more barbaric parts of the “religion”. Still, they call themselves Muslims, and therefore are associated with Islam. They may be ignorant of the evil writings, or just choose to ignore them. But either way, if they call themselves Islamic, they are associating themselves with the Islamic ideology and all the evil that it preaches and causes. …and has done during it’s whole existence.
Islam needs to be drastically reformed or abolished. As it is, anyone who calls themselves Muslim/Islamic is suspect. Unfortunately we must be wary of all of them, as they have proven time and again that even seemingly intelligent and/or friendly people can be turned into idealistic monsters who follow the scripture of Islam to do great harm. Under the right conditions, even a so-called moderate and well educated Muslim can be radicalized.
And if anyone calls this racist, it’s not. Islam is an ideology. Like Socialism is an ideology. Anyone can follow it regardless of their race or sex. Saying that I dislike Communists doesn’t make me a racist. The same applies to saying I don’t like Islamist’s.
And while we’re at it, we also have to do something about the Socialists. They are as bad as the Muslims. They just take longer to get to the violence. But the end results are the same.

are always some Muslims who will follow Islam’s directives to the letter.
They are the violent and non-violent jihadists. Everywhere there is a Muslim
community, there will be a percentage of these total observers of Islam’s
barbarism. Muslims are now about 2% of the American population and
they have already murdered us in many attacks on our own soil.
The more Muslims in a population – the more jihadists. The solution is
is a strict policy against admissions into the US from Muslim terrorist
countries. And, let’s face it – if it’s a predominantly Muslim country, one
can be sure that it will be both backward – and terrorist.
I believe it was Donald Trump, Jr. who compared Muslim refugees to the
candy, Skittles. He said if you have a bowl of Skittles – and you know
some of them are deadly poisoned (Jihadists) – would you just grab a
handful and eat them anyway? Lefties and Muslims howled in fury over
what he said. Even though what he said is completely right.

The Sword of Allah…that is an interesting title, it was what the Arab Muslim commander Khalid was infamously called during his own wars of jihad against the Byzantines and Sasanians in ancient times.
Sadly, I fear the religion has not changed so very much over the centuries.
