Nestlé Removes Christian Cross from Greek Yogurt Packaging
Joining a growing trend in Europe to abolish Christian imagery to avoid offending other “sensibilities,” Nestlé has removed the image of a Christian cross from its Greek yogurt packaging featuring an Orthodox church on the island of Santorini.

Whereas in real life the blue dome of the iconic Anastasis church is surmounted by a white cross, the image of the church used for publicity has been photo-shopped to remove the offending Christian symbol.
In eliminating the cross, Nestlé, the world’s largest food and beverage company, has mimicked the choice of supermarket giant Lidl for its similar packaging. To justify its decision, Lidl said they were expunging the cross so as “not to hurt sensibility of other religions.”
The doctored images of the church were used for the packaging of Lidl’s Eridanous brand Greek-style yogurt — an in-house label which also includes a range of feta cheese, moussaka, and pistachio products.
A spokesman for the supermarket chain, which has hundreds of stores throughout Europe and the United Kingdom, explained the modifications by saying: “We avoid the use of religious symbols because we do not wish to exclude any religious beliefs.”
The spokesman added: “We are a company that respects diversity and this is what explains the design of this packaging.”
The irony, of course, is that the removal of the cross is a destruction of diversity, by refusing to acknowledge the historical, cultural, and religious importance of the symbol. The company is, in fact, fighting exclusion by excluding Christian symbolism.
It is not the first time Christian symbols are hidden or are criticised not to hurt the sensibility of other religion:
As noted by the European Post, Nestlé’s cross-removal is merely the latest in a string of attempts to censure Christian imagery from the public eye, usually in the name of tolerance and diversity.
In Great Britain, a vendor was ousted from her stall at a market because of her refusal to stop selling Knights Templar coffee mugs, which featured a Christian cross as well as a Latin citation from the biblical book of Psalms. Tina Gayle, 57, was ordered to remove the £6 mugs from her stall because they could purportedly upset Muslims. The Knights Templar was a Catholic military order founded for the protection of Christian pilgrims going to the Holy Land from Muslim soldiers and marauders.

UK schools are removing “before and after Christ”—BC and AD—from the calendar in order to avoid offending non-Christians. Schools across the country have stopped using the terms BC and AD in religious education lessons for fear of offending non-Christians. The traditional terms BC, Before Christ, and AD, Anno Domini, are being replaced with the politically correct BCE – Before the Common Era, and CE – Common Era.
Local authorities responsible for religious education syllabuses have said that the old terms may offend minorities or non-believers. Former Archbishop of Canterbury Lord George Carey called the decision a “great shame.”
Not long ago, a school in Florence, Italy, cancelled a museum visit on the grounds that the sacred art—such as Marc Chagall’s White Crucifixion— could upset non-Catholic students.
The students from the Matteotti elementary school were set to visit an exhibit titled “Divine Beauty” featuring works by Van Gogh, Chagall, Fontana, Picasso, Matisse, and Munch, until the school council intervened to cancel the field trip.

A really positive start for the west would be to remove all traces of the NEED to worry about upsetting other cultures in the west. If these cultures come to the west, it is THEY who must adapt and I await the time when a leader arrives who has the cojones to implement this. As for multinationals fellating muslim countries for “trade” it just proves how money erases principles and courage. If WW4(WW3 = cold or proxy war) occurs it better hurry as within 50-100 years it will be too late

this is indeed a disgrace. When my ancestors came to Saloniki after the horrors of the Spanish Inquisition, they NEVER demanded that christian or other religious symbols be removed.
Muslims apparently don’t accept that (any) religion’s place in in the home and the church, synagogue, pagoda or mosque.
As far as I am concerned, I will NOT buy the products of companies that suck up to “muslim sensibilities.”

Trump could have eliminated DACA on his first day in office (he promised to do so). He could have fired McMaster and other Muslim lovers and appointed America First people throughout the government (if the Senate refused to confirm them, that would be on them). He could have endorsed Nehlen in Wisconsin. He didn’t need to endorse the loser Strange in Alabama. He didn’t need to install his unelected liberal daughter and son in law in the White House. To give you an idea of Nestle’ greed and lack of morals and ethics, when Zimbabwe’s Robert Mugabe was stealing white-owned farms and murdering some farmers and their loyal farm workers, Nestle’ simply bought milk from the thieves and murderers who had – under Mugabe’s direction – taken over the farms. As I recall Mugabe’s wife was made owner of many of those stolen farms, but Nesle’ didn’t care. Nestle’ leadership is unethical human trash.

I am not softening anything about Islam. I know all too well there’s only islam but in this instance the meme still points to Islam and still sends the message that if not for the Christian Crusades, islam would have reduced Europe to a living hell on earth long ago which is rapidly what’s happening now because they have turned their backs on Christianity to appease islam and there’s no Crusaders to step in and save them this time. I knew a Lebanese Christian, he was a good man and so was his daughter. He related to me some of the persecution he’s personally experienced at the hands of the f’ing muslums in Lebanon. His ancient Christian village had its church razed by the f’ing muslums and its graveyard desecrated.

I read an interesting account of a famous Luftwaffe Gruppe. Most all the pilots and ground crew interviewed indicated they weren’t nazis and that they were fighting out of loyalty to Germany and not to the Nazis.
Is the US government the enemy of the free world or the leader of the free world? Why does the US government consider totalitarian, theocratic, religious apartheid muslum states allies? Why does the USA facilitate the spread of islum and fund it? Why are my tax dollars going to support muslum, totalitarian, religious apartheid states like Pakistain, Egyptistan and the PA? Burger King? Really? Darn. And that was my go-to burger place…..emphasis on “was”. Oh well, good that I just bought a grill….I’ll make my own. Less chance of getting Hepatitis and other diseases brought into our food supply by illegals and Muslims who have “different” cleansing standards than us….recall that Starbucks goes out of their way to hire Muslim “refugees”…..or as I call them…stealth invaders….

True. Also Garnier products lost my business a couple of years back when they were pressured by ISIS to stop gifting cosmetics to Israeli women soldiers….when they bent to that demand I quit buying their products. Before that I was a huge fan of their products.
Now I go out of my way to look for products made in Israel….and for the ones I used, they are top notch. Happy to have discovered them.
And I’m wondering exactly how many transgenders (and their supporters) are there in America who can support Maybelline/L’Oreal if the rest of us quit buying their products?
Let’s find out…..stop buying products of companies who actively participate in bringing down America….and Her people….it’s just that simple.

Nestle’s, Campbell’s, Kraft, etc all produce processed foods we don’t really need. I am running out of brands of foods from the inner aisles of grocery stores as they all bow in service to that which threatens our society. Notwithstanding that my heritage is on the decline, but I have to do what I can do.
