Why is it that antisemities, jihad sympathizers and supporters and radicals are lauded, exalted, and fawned over by the elites?
Neither I nor any of my colleagues would ever even be considered for such an award or grant. Ever.

…The fellowship, which honors “exceptionally creative people,” comes with a no-strings-attached grant of $625,000, to be awarded over five years. It is known colloquially as the “genius” award, to the sometime annoyance of the foundation….
The honorees include relatively well-known figures in the arts, like the playwright Annie Baker, 36, who won the 2014 Pulitzer Prize for “The Flick”…

In a letter made public today, more than 60 theater artists have called on Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, a leading US arts institution located in Manhattan, to cancel IsraEli Government-sponsored performances by two Israeli theater companies scheduled for July 24 – 27.
The signers of the letter have won numerous awards for their work in theater, including four Pulitzer Prizes, three Tony Awards, and nine Obie Awards. Follow this link to view the letter signed by artists and sent to Lincoln Center.
The letter signed by the artists asserts that the performances by Israel’s Ha’bima National Theatre and the Cameri Theater of Tel Aviv will help “the IsraEli Government to implement its systematic ‘Brand Israel’ strategy of employing arts and culture to divert attention from the state’s decades of violent colonization, brutal military occupation and denial of basic rights to the Palestinian people.”
Lincoln Center is advertising the performances by the Israeli theater companies as presented “With support of Israel’s Office of Cultural Affairs in North America.” The artists’ letter says that the performances are part of the IsraEli Government’s “Brand Israel” public relations strategy which, according to an Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs official, sends “well-known novelists and writers overseas, theater companies, exhibits…This way you show Israel’s prettier face, so we are not thought of purely in the context of war.”
The artists also criticize Ha’bima and Cameri theaters because, despite past opposition from artists, they say the organizations have repeatedly performed in and legitimized Israel’s illegal settlements built on Israeli-occupied Palestinian land.
The letter calls on Lincoln Center “to respect the Palestinian civil society call for a boycott of those Israeli cultural institutions that are complicit in the denial of Palestinian rights.”…
Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Annie Baker, a signatory to the letter, commented, “I think the phrase ‘cultural boycott’ scares people, and it’s important to remember that a) it’s not a boycott against individual artists or nationalities, and b) it has historical precedent as an extremely effective way to call attention to apartheid (yes, Israel is an apartheid state) and influence policy.”…
The Palestinian civil society movement for boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) calls for an economic, cultural, and academic boycott of companies and institutions that are complicit in Israel’s denial of Palestinian rights until Israel respects the rights of Palestinians, whether living under Israeli military occupation, as unequal citizens of Israel, or as refugees who are denied their right to return to their homeland. The Palestinian BDS is modeled on the global boycott movement that helped to bring an end to apartheid in South Africa….

McArthur? (Gee i hope it’s not the general from WW2 who I respect. general mac arthur deserves better than this foundation.).
Many regular folks don’t even know what BDS is. I’m not joking.
The liberal media does not talk about BDS much because they are afraid that their liberal Jewish voters will be outraged and leave.
For example, not many democrats want it known that BLACK LIVES MATTER has adopted a pro-BDS stance in their official platform.

And Black Lives Matter has officially adopted an anti-israel platform.

Having been the worst American president ever and a well known anti Semite it is not surprising that he used a term that is far from fitting Israel’s treatment of the Ara s who live next door to the state. Israel got those lands they call occupied by winning a war against four Arab states, Israel did not go out and conquered those areas, it won them with blood and tear and the sacrifice of many young lives, it survived the attack and these who call for BDS so not forgive Israel for not only surviving but thriving. By the way Mr. Carter, that ungrateful P O S owes his life to Israeli scientists who created the medicine that saved his life after he developed cancer.

As liberals have moved leftward over the past half century, they’ve taken an increasingly tolerant and indulgent stance towards anti-Semitism. They now show all signs of embracing anti-Semitism.
Liberals now actively fostered anti-Semitism in places where they dominate most: universities and colleges where foster and encourage BDS type outfits as wll as harassment of Jews. Nowadays, liberals don’t even bother to feign outrage over anti-Semitism unless the alleged offender is pro-Israel.

Yes Redwood U R 100% correct. I blame Jimmy Carter for much of this when the respected ex president wrote his best seller on Apartheid. Soon other respected antisemites came out of the closet. Most recently is Linda Sarsour, the new darling of the group. New York’s mayor, and popular NY Sen. Gillabrand adore this rabid Jew Hater. American Jews must look at the people supporting this woman and vote them out of office. Everybody supporting her must be looked upon as antisemitic.

No! Israel is not an apartheid state, it has many Arabs living in Israel with full rights, they are court judges, members of the Knesset and just plain citizens with full rights and you cannot tell a Israeli Arab from an Osraeli Jew. I visited a pharmacy in a town close to Tel Aviv and a woman handed to me a medicine. After we left my gosh told me that she, the pharmacist, was an Arab woman and that there are many women pharmacists in Israel who are Arabs. What kind of apartheid is that? I am sure South Africa. Blacks would have loved this kind instead of the So. African kind.
