Back in May, the Islamic State released a video targeting Las Vegas. The ISIS propaganda video made threats against Las Vegas landmarks. It caused authorities enough concern that they sent out warning notices to hotels on the famous Strip. “In the video that calls for lone wolf attacks, several Strip properties were prominently displayed,” reported Las Vegas Now. A new Islamic State propaganda video features clips of the famous Las Vegas Strip — and officials are taking it seriously ahead of the busy Memorial Day weekend. The 44-minute video entitled “We Will Surely Guide Them To Our Ways” was released last week by Islamic State fighters in Iraq’s Ninawa Province and calls for lone-wolf terrorist attacks, according to SITE Intelligence Group.
The unusually lengthy production demonstrates some of the group’s newly-developed weapons used in Mosul and urges followers in the U.S. to attack with knives or trucks — or by throwing people off buildings.
It ends with a series of street-level video clips showing several iconic hotels on the Vegas Strip.

Police scanner traffic described a chaotic scene that was still active as of 2:46 a.m. on the east coast. Police had clearly not ruled out multiple gunmen or scenes, based on scanner traffic, in which they were dispatching “strike teams” to numerous hotels and locations. The suspect or suspects had not yet been publicly named by police, nor had police released much information because they were too busy still trying to figure it all out and respond.

At least one active shooter has been reported on the Las Vegas Strip after an unknown gunman reportedly opened fire on crowds from the Mandalay Bay Resort and Hotel.
Victims were also reported at the Route 91 Harvest country music festival, which was occurring just over the road from Mandalay Bay.

It is currently unclear whether the violence has been caused by multiple shooters, or a single gunman.
Dozens were seen on aerial footage fleeing the Mandalay Bay, which was reportedly on lockdown. SWAT teams in armored cars were seen driving up to the hotel.

Glockgrl is right – it’s an automatic. Which is near impossible to just buy – not at a gun store. You have to be on the hunt for that, buy it used military. In other words, gun laws would NOT prevent this.

They are legal under federal law for any civilian who meets the requirements and pays major dollars for the tax stamp.
Whether they are legal under state law varies by state.
I’m fairly sure Nevada is one of the states where they are legal.

There are some specialized guns stores in the US that do carry them, at least in the states where it is legal under state law for civilians to own them.
Federal law allows civilians to own them as long as they fill out the appropriate paperwork, meet all the requirements, and cough up big bucks for a federal tax stamp.

I was in Danbury hospital the day Adam Lanza murdered all those people, kids, adults at Sandy Elementary School, CT. We were in lock-down. That was a mass-shooting that was, subsequently, not categorized as terrorism.
At the moment, this appears to be a mass-shooting with yet-to-be-determined behavioral, psychological, ideological (if any) explanation.
For some God-only-knows reason, we have the mug shot of the woman being sought, but NOT of the man killed.
She looks Phillipino to me; only the elite or some other class know the “face” of the person killed, a guy, I think; let’s hope he isn’t “transitioning.”
