Education officials in Alberta are requiring schools to offer Arab as a language course for students, beginning this coming 2018-19 year.
Soon enough, the requirement will be imposed on schools across all of Canada.
The interesting sidenote is: Canada has historically been averse to allowing native Indian languages to be taught in its schools. Yet Arab is OK?

Edmonton Public Schools currently offers an Arabic language program that has been in place for a number of years, during which time the board has built up expertise and experience in delivering this program.
Next school year, a modified version of the program will be available for other school authorities across the province.
“Our government recognizes the economic and academic benefits of proficiency in more than one language. We are thrilled to be moving forward in our commitment to develop the provincial Arabic Language Arts K–12 curriculum by September 2018. We know this new curriculum will make life better for so many students in Alberta.” – David Eggen, Minister of Education
Expanding the Arabic language curriculum into a provincial program of study will provide more options for school authorities to best meet the needs of the communities they serve. After development of the curriculum is complete, resources will be made available to allow other interested school authorities to implement the program in their schools.

* Arabic bilingual programming is the fastest growing language program within Edmonton Public Schools.

This is just one small step away from making Arabic the official language of the entire country. And just what “options” are they talking about. Canada has rapidly degenerated into one of the most dimwitted societies on earth, forget about France, Germany, Belgium, Austria and other Western European countries. This one had the advantage of being able to learn from Europe’s experience with Muslim migrants, but hasn’t learned a thing. Why? The country is ‘far left’, politically correct, apathetic and complacent, constantly being told and telling itself that it is “the admiration of the world”. Has anyone here any idea of what utter crap this is? A friend (Canadian) lived in Argentina for a few years, Brazil for a while, travelled all over South America, and has told me that down there “they think we’re a bunch of assholes”. Pardon the crudity! There are vastly more Chinese and Koreans in Canada, so why not teach Chinese or Korean? Because this is all part of Canada’s dimwitted Islamization with a tiny minority calling the tune, and if you don’t agree you’re a bigot, intolerant – in a country that worships the brain-dead notion of ‘tolerance’ – and a racist.

Most of them are so clueless and uninformed they don’t know what is going on in schools, universities and anywhere else, so have no inclination toward saving themselves. ‘From what?’ most would ask. The media is appalling and adds to the ignorance. Watch it and from day to day it is so stupidly preoccupied with criticizing and ridiculing Trump. Meanwhile the world’s biggest and most stupid horse’s ass leader, a disgustingly ignorant and dimwitted excuse for a ‘leader’, resides in Sussex Drive, Ottawa, and is taking he country down the sewer. In Ontario we have Bill 89 that is a disgusting, totalitarian piece of legislation that has decided that children are the possession of the state, that it is “co-parenting” and if you don’t raise them according to their rules they can take away your children. And if Motion 103 ends up getting passed, thereby decreeing that we cannot criticize Islam and disgusting Muslim behaviour, I will simply leave Canada.

I totally agree with you. Having moved round the world a little, it’s evident that in respect of criticism of their country Canadians are the most weak-minded and adolescent I’ve encountered anywhere. I think an inferiority complex must be acute, but it wasn’t always this way. Older people who came out of WWII were about as nice and decent as it is possible to meet. So how do we explain this phenomenon of aversion to criticism, let alone self-criticism? In Ottawa, in the form of Justin Trudeau, Canada has one of the most disgusting – infantile, shallow, ignorant – excuses for a ‘leader’ – yet just think of the enthusiasm when putting this complete Bozo there – and barely a word of criticism while incessant preoccupation with Trump. Meanwhile Canada rots, economically, socially and intellectually. Ontario passed the despotic totalitarian Bill 89 and what did you hear about it? Nothing! Patrick Brown and his utterly gutless Conservatives did nothing – not one dissenting vote! Human Rights Commission kangaroo courts impose their disgusting brand of justice, yet when it there an outcry? Never. In my estimation now, the most pressing concern to Canadians is not their liberty such as freedom of expression, but creature comforts and possessions. No longer believing in anything much anymore, they wouldn’t and couldn’t fight their way our of a wet paper bag! Hence why I really marvel that contemporary Canada could produce an admirable, independent and gutsy man such as U of T’s Jordan Peterson, yet from most there is nothing but hostility toward him.

Part of the problem, as you note, is that they haven’t had to fight–totally protected, living in a la la land. Grateful? No way–totally brainwashed and naive, always ready to ask (as if there’s only one point of view): Do you see what’s happening in the States? Just like they (and their counterparts in California, a.k.a. the Soviet Union of the Pacific) are now busting through people’s doors for using what the Left deems “wrong pronouns” towards people who claim to be “transgender” – proving how much LGBT “leadership,” in their goals, motives and intentions, are every bit as supremacist, imperialist and colonialist as Islamist radicals. Homosexualization and transgenderization of the West are part of the leftist-globalist New World Order elites’ master plan to weaken and soften the populace enough to pave the way for this Islamization and make it easier for Islam to conquer without firing a shot. (The business of hormone treatments for children to turn boys into girls or vice versa, for example, is to LGBT “leadership” what FGM is to Muslim supremacists.)
G-d and nature only recognize “he,” “she,” “him,” “her,” “his” and “hers” as valid pronouns. Those which the Left seeks to force down everybody’s throats – in a manner not unlike. say, the Dutch, upon colonizing South Africa in the 19th century, imposing the Germanic-derived “Afrikaans” language on the natives for which such language was by no means indigenous – are phony, fake, bogus, artificial, illegitimate and akin to what a mental patient in an insane asylum would coin. And among many examples of how totalitarian dictatorships and colonialist/conquering foreign regimes use language to subjugate and enslave native populations.

Sooner or later the Canadian indian act will be amended to allow for muslims to share in the considerable cash that is allocated to indians. Indians are not as docile as everyone else, there will be trouble. Then there will be a similar negative reaction to forced arab lessons as there was to french, with a real dislike of first french, soon islam by those who are forced to submit. Similarly with New Zealand, a bi-cultural country, which has seen billions transferred to Maori iwi in compensation for land claims since the Treaty of Waitangi Tribunal was established in 1975. I’d like to propose a Federal Bill (in Canada) along the lines of:
“An Act to Enforce the Complete Separation of ‘Church’ and ‘State’ in Canadian Public Education Systems”
WHEREAS the Public Education system is mandated to educate children on a secular basis, and to abstain from any activity that would indoctrinate children in any particular religious ideology,
AND WHEREAS the current environment promoting identity politics and forcibly imposing certain theocracies upon all Canadians is fomenting increasing divisiveness, anxiety and intolerance,
AND WHEREAS a recent trend is emerging for Public Education to reintroduce the promotion of certain brands of religion thinly veiled as “accommodation” or “anti-bullying”, and this is discriminatory against all other equally recognized religions not equally promoted or accommodated,
AND WHEREAS this is a de-facto reintroduction of religion into the Public Education System which is in direct violation to the stated principals of a secular Public Education systems,
NOW THEREFORE, The Federal Government is charged to resolve this harmful trend by mandating legislation which compels all Public Education systems Canada-Wide to completely separate ‘Church’ and ‘State” by making it a Federal Offence to teach, allow the teaching of, or accommodation or observance of any religion on Public School property when and where the primary audience is the student body of the same.

1. Chinese
2. Spanish
3. English
4. Hindi

Notice Arabic is last in the list. I would suggest Spanish be offered as an option in the Western Hemisphere at least (along with the traditional French that is taught in Canadian schools because Canada is bilingual French and English). There is no argument for teaching Arabic except to please Muslims who insist the Quran should be read in Arabic..

But it says ‘making the program available’ to other authorities across the province (bad enough maybe in its own right) not forcing it as the headline implies (although Islamists might pursue that later). Shouldn’t jump the gun–it affects credibility.
