Earlier this week, The Geller Report asked “If everything is generic non-Islamic “terrorism,” how do we talk about violent Islamic jihad?” The article posited that the mainstream media’s transition from using the terms “Islamic extremism” to “terrorism” eventually led to “terrorism” now being commonly used, by the mainstream media, to designate crimes unrelated to any interpretation of Islam. Why this media campaign to dilute or absolutely terminate the association of savage acts with Islam? One group that gains from this ongoing disassociation is the nefarious Muslim Brotherhood-associated Council on American-Islamic Relations.
Today we shine a light on CAIR’s continuing propaganda campaign to undermine the media’s honest designation of crimes motivated by “Koranic literalism.” CAIR has joined forces with the Society of Professional Journalists, an organization started in 1909 (predating the Muslim Brotherhood founding in 1928) claiming membership nearing 7,500 members, which purportedly “promotes the free flow of information vital to a well-informed citizenry.” From The American Spectator:
Coming soon to a mosque near you: Muslimedia, a forum that promises to offer “blunt debate about the way journalists cover Muslims at home and abroad.” For the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), which organizes the events with the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ), the forum serves as an opportunity to deceive the press and attain legitimacy for its extremist worldview.
Story continues below advertisementSPJ and CAIR make for strange bedfellows. While SPJ is concerned with defending freedom of speech and pursuing ethics in journalism, CAIR was designated as a terrorist entity by the United Arab Emirates in 2014. The FBI and Justice Department suspended contact with CAIR in 2008 because of the group’s links to terrorism, and the Anti-Defamation League has labeled CAIR an anti-Semitic group with ties to terrorism.
Despite this dark past, CAIR enjoyed the support of a naïve media long before SPJ’s Muslimedia experiment. CNN, the Washington Post and the New York Times are among the mainstream media outlets to regurgitate CAIR’s deceptive press releases and publish its theological opinions in over 5,000 media references every year. Although the terror-tied Islamist group seems to have persuaded the media that it represents Muslim Americans, a 2011 Gallup poll shows that 88 percent of this population believes that CAIR fails to represent their interests.
Much of this distrust from moderate Muslims is likely due to CAIR’s frequent support for some of the most hateful, homophobic, and misogynistic religious leaders in the country — some of whom will lead discussions at Muslimedia panels in three separate states.

SPJ’s code of ethics simply demands that its members, “Seek truth and report it.” The truth is that CAIR is far too radical to speak for moderate Muslims. Yet, by partnering with this subversive Islamist group and sponsoring talks at some of the most secretive and radical mosques in the country, SPJ succeeds only in amplifying some of Islam’s most militant voices — to the detriment of ordinary Muslim Americans.
Understand this point well; a group of supposed “free-flow-of-information” journalists are helping to advance CAIR propaganda. In association with CAIR, SPJ now has a new arm literally called MuslimMedia. Folks, say hello to Al-Jazeera’s American cousin.

To keep from being fooled by this amateur shell game there is a simple strategy to follow. Automatically label every terror type incident as muzzie terrorism, all the while looking for the obvious media tricks of obfuscation, such as “Asian”, “mental illness”, Middle Eastern extraction, etc. Then work your way backwards through the evidence until something disproves your theory. More often than not, you will be proven correct.
Example: we still are not clear on the Mandalay Bay shooting.

I have yet to see anyone in the mainstream media other than possibly FNC who has done a serious
investigation of CAIR. Do these people think that Pamela Gellar made up these stories? Do they
care? Regardless Republicans in Congress should get rid of the filibuster or make a deal regarding
the filibuster and get on with a muslim ban of some sort. It’s the only common sense thing to do.
It’s time to come to grips with the fact that it is a violent religion.

Journ-0-Liars are not interested in free speech, truth, justice, or peace. … Never mind what they say 24/7, look at what they do. If these Rent-A-Liars were interested in Western ‘values’ – i.e. the heritage of Christendom – they would be broadcasting the truth and compiling the data necessary to stop the massive increase in violent, criminal activity and hate ideologies.
