First and foremost, let me thank every reader, supporter, and lover of freedom for tweeting, sharing, emailing, calling and faxing (yes, faxing) YouTube, urging them to reinstate my account. Thousands of you — YOU did it.
I had appealed the termination, but they rejected my appeal.

My account was terminated because of a 2014 video entitled, “Al Qaeda and Islamic State flags in London’s tunnels.” The video shows jihadis displaying al Qaeda and Islamic state flags on one of London’s tunnels (see this). So telling the truth gets your account terminated at YouTube.
But you fought back. We fought back. We won. I am humbled by your unwavering support. We will prevail because of the good and the righteous — YOU.
I am thrilled to be reinstated, but just as concerned about others who are suspended and don’t have a large social media presence to deploy. We must consider anti-trust laws or legislation to penalize social media giants who suppress our unalienable rights.

The left thinks anyone who dislikes or criticizes the religion of Islam is a “threat” to their society. Pamela is truly one of the bravest heroines I have ever known, daring to speak the things that most Jewish-Americans do not, at great personal risk to herself.

The London-based Center for Nonproliferation Studies estimates North Korea has stocked between 2,500 and 5,000 metric tons of chemical weapons, which could reach extremist hands. It includes a large supply of VX, the deadliest nerve gas ever created, which was used to assassinate Kim Jong Un’s half-brother, Kim Jong Nam, at Kuala Lumpur airport. Only a few weeks ago, the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons reported that two North Korean ships were intercepted on their way to northern Syria with equipment for making chemical weapons.

There is a possibility IRAN is testing it’s atomic weapons in North Korea. Someone has been feeding technology to North Korea. I wouldn’t be surprised that Communist China was using North Korea as a proxy against the United States. My neighbor lives most of the year in Seoul. The media has convinced the South Koreans that Kim will never attack them.

See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XPhBaFilxjA at about 5 minutes in. Woody of “WoodysGamertag” mentioned that his youtube is registered with a commitment to give a share of proceeds to charity. Woody reports that Google does not let “bot” algorithms automatically perform cancellations for this type of account; apparently a human being is required to review the merits. Clearly the bots can be tricked by a sufficient number of false complaints — and astroturfers must be flooding the bots with their repression efforts. But history suggests that these attacks are test fires for much worse to come. As a further complication, due process is not in the Google lexicon. When you self-appoint as the virtuous good people, your delusion transforms you into the embodiment of due process.

There needs to be competition in the social media to assure it self regulates. So long as the social medial is dominated by megalomaniacs, there is no hope that it will ever become neutral, with free speech being emphasized. No one has the right not to be offended, everyone has the right to speak, everyone else has the right not to listen.

Google gave some power to their trusted viewers and let them censor videos that violate community standards. Google must have back off. I hope Pamela Geller has multiple offline backups of all her videos.

Not quite that simply. She pays for hosting, and that includes a data limit. Steaming video would eat though the data limit for a month in just a day or two. Of course she could renegotiate and pay for a higher data limit, but generally, most ISPs don’t stream video well. For that you need to contract an ISP specialized in hosting streaming media, called a “CDN” (Content Distribution Network). It then becomes a big investment, far more expensive than this current website. However, there is a proportionately bigger opportunity for revenue from advertising. Not sure if that would offset the cost, but even if it did, added advertising could make the videos unwatchable and end up being an even more unpleasant experience for the end user than this site currently is.

Thank you for the lucid explanation. A couple of posts ago there was a comment advising readers to open all YouTube videos on this site in a separate window to avoid accruing the cost to Ms Geller.

Nice of people to be concerned, but she doesn’t incur any cost from YouTube videos embedded on her page, no matter how the video is opened. It is streamed from Google anyway you view it.

I was going to send a message to YouTube criticizing its decision to suspend your account but it seems redundant now that your account has been reinstated.
Your idea about anti-trust legislation on these social media monopolies has a lot of merit. Start promoting it on your website.

Pam, first: The video can NOT be watched. Youtube says the USER (You??) took it down and that other link says “not available”.
Then: Can’t you SUE youtube for sanctioning you for posting a reality-conform video? I mean, you are totally right with competition and anti-trust and all – but causing them some serious PAIN and trouble for behaving so 1984-ish would do no harm either, I think. Just saying. By censoring content, youtube has given up the legal protection of being a “common carrier”. This is the protection that saves the telephone companies from being accomplices to every crime in which a phone was used(in fact they are complicit by allowing the illegal voice traffic to pass. Their defense was “we are just a carrier and have nothing to do with the content”. youtube can now be sued for every crime that is facilitated by a youtube channel since they have assumed responsibility for the content they allow to be posted.
The same is true on any other social media site that determines content by controlling posts or killing accounts,
