Trump to sign resolution pledging to “use all available resources” against “White supremacists, the Ku Klux Klan, neo-Nazis, and other hate groups”

87

The SPLC, traffickers in blood libel and incitement to murder, is a hate group that the left counts on to smear, defame and destroy those who are brave enough to oppose their totalitarian agenda. This Soros-funded opposition research smear machine never identifies leftist or Muslim hate groups, and demonizes legitimate opposition to the left’s agenda by lumping it in with neo-Nazis and the KKK.

And now they’ve got the President of the United States signing on to their agenda. This resolution will be used to do more to shut down the speech of those whom the left opposes and hates. Trump should be condemning this disingenuous initiative, not signing it.

“KASSAM: The Swamp Just Bounced Trump Into A European-Style Assault on Free Speech,” by Raheem Kassam, Breitbart, September 13, 2017:

Story continues below advertisement

Many Americans don’t seem to appreciate as much as outside admirers do, that the United States is the only country in the world with a commitment to free speech enshrined in the nation’s Constitution. Many nations do not even have codified constitution of which to speak.

Which is why it is almost more egregious to the outsider than the American that such protections are under assault, not just on the streets of Berkeley or Charlottesville, but in your legislature — and soon in your Oval Office.

This afternoon, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders confirmed President Trump would “absolutely” be signing a resolution drafted by Republican and Democrat lawmakers “condemning” hatred.

“He and [Senator Tim Scott] talked about that and discussed that and agreed that that was the appropriate place to be,” Sanders said. “In terms of whether or not he’ll sign the joint resolution, absolutely, and he looks forward to doing so as soon as he receives it.”

But the resolution is manifestly a ruse — the first line of attack in a new wave of assaults against free speech in America.

Let’s examine what the motion, passed by both legislative chambers early this week, says.

The preamble, in addition to expressing “support for the Charlottesville community,” demands of the President that he rejects “White nationalists, White supremacists, the Ku Klux Klan, neo-Nazis, and other hate groups” and urges him and his cabinet to “use all available resources to address the threats posed by those groups”.

From the outset this is disingenuous and troublesome.

The President has already disavowed these groups, including Neo Nazis and the KKK. Why are elected members, alongside the White House, wasting time virtue signaling over it?

Perhaps because it backs POTUS into a corner, especially when you consider many establishment media organizations call his former Chief Strategist Stephen K. Bannon — who has mocked and derided ethno-nationalists — a “white nationalist” or “white supremacist”. This week, ESPN even let one of its hosts off with no more than a slapped wrist for suggesting the President himself was a “white supremacist”.

So by whose definitions are we going? And what exactly does “use all available resources” mean?

The President and his cabinet ostensibly have all resources available to them. The U.S. military, trillions of dollars, three and a half years of power. To what is the President subscribing?

Whatever happened to the old line by Voltaire, “Think for yourselves and let others enjoy the privilege to do so too”, or as it was paraphrased by Evelyn Beatrice Hall writing under the pseudonym S.G. Tallentyre in Friends of Voltaire: “I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it”?

Personally, I believe sunlight is the best disinfectant for hateful beliefs.

The U.S. Constitution is perfectly clear on this too. No matter how vile your views — as those of the KKK and Neo Nazi groups are — you still have a right to express them in America.

The fact the Supreme Court had to readdress this fact only earlier this year is harbinger enough of the assault on liberty we are about to witness.

In June, Justice Kennedy opined in the case of Matal v. Tam:

A law found to discriminate based on viewpoint is an “egregious form of content discrimination,” which is “presumptively unconstitutional.” … A law that can be directed against speech found offensive to some portion of the public can be turned against minority and dissenting views to the detriment of all. The First Amendment does not entrust that power to the government’s benevolence. Instead, our reliance must be on the substantial safeguards of free and open discussion in a democratic society.

Justice Alito said at the time:

[The idea that the government may restrict] speech expressing ideas that offend … strikes at the heart of the First Amendment. Speech that demeans on the basis of race, ethnicity, gender, religion, age, disability, or any other similar ground is hateful; but the proudest boast of our free speech jurisprudence is that we protect the freedom to express “the thought that we hate.”

Obvious enough to you or me. But not self-evident enough for your representatives or even your President, if Ms. Huckabee Sanders is correct.

The five page document the President is now committed to signing refers to violence on the side of Neo Nazi protesters, but fails to mention Antifa, or any other leftist-inspired violence, including but not limited to the Bernie Sanders supporter who recently attempted to murder Republican congressmen.

It demands signatories “speak out against hate groups that espouse racism, extremism, xenophobia, anti-Semitism, and White supremacy” — laudable aims were it not for the fact that the political left has abused and debased these terms, effectively stripping them of all meaning.

Today, a “racist” is someone who believes in legal immigration. An “extremist” is someone who doesn’t believe in mass, state-funded abortion. A “xenophobe” is someone who takes pride in their nation. An “anti-Semite” is — curiously — someone who supports the State of Israel, and “white supremacy” now occupies the Oval Office. The Overton window has shifted so far that even practicing Muslims are now decried by the most heavily quoted sources as “Islamophobes”….

See, we have freedom of speech as a constitutional right, but this is how the Left side steps that and actually controls speech. Brand someone, even the president, as a racist® and watch them shut their mouths and do back flips trying to prove otherwise. That sorry piece of trash, Chuckie Schumer (D, NY), has used this tactic with full on support from the Satanists in the media to great effect. Now Trump is suddenly nodding toward DACA and saying, “Who would want to throw them out ….”
Next it will be, “I know many fine Muslims ….”

Exactly WHY Nazigroups, KKKlan, Islam, White Supremacists have to all be designated Terror groups without the right to recruit, parade, make schools and Mosques to teach the kids, or terrorize the public. NONE OF THOSE. They are not what makes Freedom and Freedom of Speech is not for those who want to DESTROY it. Especially teaching it to young ones who will go on for generations of battles in USA. We do not Want that. No Nazigroups, White Supremacists (WORLD WAR) NO KKKlan (Civil War) NO Unreformed ISLAM with Mosques spreading hatred for Jews and Non Muslims.

Criticism of Islam is not yet officially against law in England. But the legislation is so deliberately sloppy that any communication anyone wants to can be treated as a “crime”. And there is massive bias in that if any member of a sacred Mo-cow victim group makes a false accusation of a “hate crime” then “you will be believed” (official police statement) and the accused will be presumed proven guilty whereas the false accusation will be waved off as a proven non-incident.

That is one of the reasons that they need to repeal this 2/3rd majority Senate vote to a simple majority vote. All that 2/3rd thing does is give the minority party more power than the electorate gave them. EVERYTHING else that requires a vote is passed with a 51% majority.

When uniformed Nazis marched through a residential neighborhood in Skokie, Illinois that had a very large number of holocaust survivors, America was clearly shocked at the innate cruelty and viciousness of it, yet we took great pride as ‘liberals’ (yes I was one then) in the rule of law and near-absolute freedom of speech that is America. Even holocaust survivors interviewed were often first to express their pride in America’s freedom.

Trump is showing himself to be just one more malleable politician, giving in to the hypocrisy that targets only one type of hate group, while ignoring groups like Black lives matter and Antifa, who are more violent and equally fueled by hatred. The rhetoric and promises of the campaign are rapidly evaporating, as Trump chooses to go down the road of being just one more Washington-ite, not conservative in the least. The hopes of his supporters on the right will likely continue to be dashed, even as his supporters try and pretend that he is a real leader, a great president, and a conservative. Political blindness unfortunately extends to both sides of the aisle.

Face palm … the trouble with not being an ‘ideologue’ is that actual ideologues will set your agenda.

Signing this is literally like signing a resolution against Trump, his base, and Americans in general – not that any of them are ethno-nationalists – which I suppose means actual Lefti-wing racist bigots in this case – but because the actual Left-wing racist bigots will define these terms as just that.

I wouldn’t say Trump is ‘caving’ … more like melting.

Caving implies he has nothing inside, and I don’t think that’s appropriate.

On the other hand, he can’t get anything done. Has he even got half his appointments yet?

Although a hard ideological core would have help prevent this, someone with such a core would never have had access to the financing and permitting Trump Inc has had. It’s much more like a ‘normal’ American withering under the fact – that cannot be changed without a long, long political battle – that the RINO’s turned on Trump before he even won the nomination.

With support for the Left-wing agenda coming directly from Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell’s offices, it is impossible to see what POTUS can do.

At this point, the RINO’s would probably impeach him just for being an American if they thought they could.

So – while extremely disappointing – it is not at all surprising to see Trump wilting / melting while being assaulted on all sides. That said …

Hope is not lost – after all we only have to consider the alternative to appreciate The Don’s efforts.

I’m sorry to be the rain on Mr Trumps parade, but everywhere I look when out I see evidence of applied white capital, white labour, design by whites, white work ethic and good planning by whites. When I look elsewhere I see others living in the places provided by whites if still habitable, and thousands more of them struggling to get to white societies like mine where they call ME the racist for letting them in to share what they cannot and will not provide for themselves from where they came.

It’s going to a cold day in hell before I tolerate this kind of Marxist revisionist bullshit offered to me from any quarter.

Well, Poppey, there are better reasons to have self-esteem than merely enjoying the fact that you are white and share that color with persons of real achievement. I recommend that for genuine self-esteem you achieve something yourself, as have, for example, the 16,800 black households earning in the top 1% of U.S. income.

Instead of trying to battle Marxist-Postmodern loser-supremacist ideology with your white-supremacist ideology, you might consider affirming that people should be judged not by the color of their skin but by the content of their characters. I’m white, but I don’t think I want to get into what you claim are “white societies like mine.” I prefer free societies like the one outlined in the U.S. Constitution, which guarantees due process and equal protection of the law irrespective of skin color. That way I get the benefits of both white and non-white achievements.

It may soon be declared a hate group, but come hell or high water I will remain a Bill-of-Rights supremacist.

With regard to those 16,800 black households in America Ralph, in my view it takes the exception to prove the rule. In case you had missed it, Africa is still the only continent unable to feed it’s self some 60 years after decolonisation, rocketing population growth is going to destroy every other living thing there. There are some splendid black people of course fully worthy of emulation, but too many others hate them for being “coconuts”.

The fact remains the world we live in and {it seems} everyone else is trying to get to was and is an achievement of white Christian and Jewish people and I’m going back to the days before the fall of Rome. Everything I value was developed in Europe or by Europeans overseas and exported or copied. Big generalisations of course but you get the idea.

Reply to  Poppey

Thank you for your respectful reply, Poppey. I share your admiration of the great achievements of European culture but I am distressed by your apparent willingness to attribute the success of European culture to ‘whiteness’ rather than to much better causal hypotheses to explain achievement differentials among races and ethnicities, chief among them being geographical and following closely on that, geopolitical.

Naturally “whiteness” would be shorthand for whatever factors are distinctive in the ‘Caucasian’ genomes but aside from health- and intelligence-related factors it is hard to see what would be relevant. Should it be true that racial differences in IQ explain the achievement differentials it then becomes difficult to explain why east Asian cultures have not outperformed those of Europe — unless we fall back on geographical explanations, of course.

My own view is that the best explanation by far for the greatness of Western civilization may be found in its primary founding culture, ancient Greece, in particular because of the unique circumstance of having a geographical location for a single language-speaking group that facilitated a diaspora of separated settlements each of which maintained political independence — i.e. freedom — for long periods. At the same time each of these settlements — amounting to at least 700 independent or semi-independent city states — remained in constant cultural and economic contact via mostly sea transportation. This happened nowhere else on earth to anything like this extent, and led by paths one must become a classicist to really follow, to a flowering of cultural achievement that has enlightened the world to this day.

One can test the theory by comparing cultures that lost the memory of Greek achievement after once more-or-less flourishing under its influence, for example Dark Age Italy and post-thirteenth-century Islamic culture.

That’s why I encourage you to celebrate Western Civilization and not “whiteness”.

Looks like the real Trump ‘left the building’ on inauguration day. He’s certainly not in the Oval office. Is he being held by Soros’ goons somewhere. Because what is left, is no where near what the American people voted for. The idea that the KKK is a threat to our nation, or it’s security, is absurd. How many terrorist attacks has the KKK committed on U.S. soil in the last five, or ten years. How many KKK members have been convicted in the last five or ten years for terrorism-related offenses.

Since when has it been illegal to ‘hate’ someone, just by saying so. The muslims and leftist groups needn’t worry about this wonderful ‘final solution.’ This only applies to Christian and other similarly situated groups. Even though they represent absolutely no threat to anyone in this country.

I don’t assume he’s being stupid and inept. I presume he is doing this with full knowledge, that this is something he supports. It’s looking more and more, by the day, that he is part of the swamp, and not who we thought and hoped he would be.

His appointment of obvious muslum collaborators like McBastard and Tillerson and firing of those opposed to islum leads me to believe you’re right.

I’ve read in a couple different places the notion that he’s slowly being drugged in his food and water. Entirely possible, and not far-fetched. Either he was going to play ball — willingly and knowingly, which is a possibility — or they would make him, one way or the other. Or he wouldn’t still be there. I find it hard to believe that all he said on the campaign trail, he is disavowing by his actions. Either he’s not who we thought he was, or it’s one of those other possibilities.

This is politics. The global masters don’t tolerate true mavericks.

Islamic terrorism in my opinion is a far more dangerous global threat than any neo-Nazi group.

WTF, Trump!! Attack the violence, not the speech! Attack the threats, not the opinions. Attack the soros-paid anti-American traitors, not the Constitution. Do you really not want to run in 2020? By the way, there are NO “resources” that allows anyone to violate our Freedom of Speech.

Its just the beginning.

“On April 4, 2017, the US Senate passed Senate Resolution 118, “Condemning hate crime and any other form of racism, religious or ethnic bias, discrimination, incitement to violence, or animus targeting a minority in the United States”.

The resolution was drafted by a Muslim organization, EmgageUSA (formerly EmergeUSA) and the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC).”

“On April 6, almost the exact same text was introduced as House Resolution H.Res. 257, …” .

This clearly shows the intentions of the corrupt US Congress. The fact that they condemn islamofauxbia and antisemtism in the same breath is hilarious considering islum is chock full of antisemitic vomit.

The swamp has drained Trump, as they say. Note how the whole world has fallen the for the fake media’s constant distortions and lies about Trump and gotten the wrong impression. Even the UN is condemning Trump about his supposed “failure to condemn the Alt-Right” at Charlottesville. The MSM do a great disservice to America by spreading these lies far and wide.

If they want to go after “hate groups” then fine. Just make sure that BLM, Black Panthers, and the Muslim Brotherhood is pursued just as much.

Trump wouldn’t do this and Trump wouldn’t do that…. wait and see. He could easily use this initiative to go after Soros. You guys are a bunch of dummies! WHEN YOU TAKE SIDES in a riot, you just encourage one side to attack the other and create more RIOT! We have seen that for the past 8 year – GET A CLUE! By talking about the KKK he just gets political capitol from the left….. GEE!!!

Yeah, no mention of antifa, blm, or the hundreds of Bias Response Teams infecting hundreds of college campuses.
Yeah, Trump wants to go after white people advocating for their race and fighting to preserve the whites and preserve their homelands.
And to think I voted for this idiot.

I think Nazigroups, KKKlan, Unreformed Islam, White Supremacist should be designated terror groups without the right to recruit and advertise or set up schools or Mosques to spread doctrines that TAKE AWAY THE HUMAN RIGHT OF OTHERS. No nazigroups professing Kill the Jews & blacks, NO KKKlan professing to get rid of blacks any way possible, NO Muslim groups saying get rid of Jews or Israel or Non Muslims! No White Supremacists professing deport all blacks

or saying they are an inferior race. Get Real This is not the purpose of Free Speech. Yours ENDS where there’s begins and No one can Threaten the safety and peace of this country. No Nazigroups…can anyone even imagine giving Hitler the RIGHT to free speech as he had??? Come ON. We fought a WORLD WAR to get rid of him! NO parades of bin Ladens family and friends armed marching down our streets Either! NO Confederate wannabes claiming blacks inferior or a state can go against the UNION…because the CIVIL WAR was WON already. This is not what FREEDOM is. Terrorists have NO Rights and Nazigroups, KKKlan, Islam, Supremacists of any kind ARE TERRORISTS to those they target. They are not Free to do that. GET REAL. This isn’t a game of who wins. This is life and death, war and peace stuff.

You are confused, julea, or you are a troll trying to make it sound like it would be a good idea to join with the fascist left and work hard to repeal the First Amendment in order to shut up those whose views are puke-worthy in their offensiveness.

That is a prescription for totalitarianism. The moment it would become the accepted standard, the first ‘hate groups” to be crushed would be those opposing ‘identity’ politics, such as those opposing special privileges for any allegedly ‘oppressed’ group. The solution to everything you fear is the scrupulous application of the equal protection of the law to all, which means special privileges to none, precisely as the U.S. Constitution requires.

Sticks and stones may break your bones but words will never hurt you — unless assent to being hurt. In the USA, Hitler — or his ghost, if you prefer — still enjoys freedom of speech to this very minute. You can buy and read Mein Kampf and virtually every speech he ever made. You can read and learn of the intellectual and moral devastation wrought by the premises of political and racial collectivism and be prepared for its next incarnation, be it the KKK, Antifa, Elizabeth Warren, or CAIR, and being prepared, counter it with the ideals of liberty.

Or would you prefer all knowledge of Hitler’s thought be trashed down the memory hole so the next ‘savior’ with the same ideas can enrapture the forgotten and resentful masses who only know that Hitler was a monster but this guy is named Joe Shmoe and he’s a good guy because all he hates are the haters? It sounds like you want to shut up the white supremacists because you don’t have a better, more attractive idea. That’s pitiful.

I am a free speech absolutist and if you want to survive, you should be too. The alternative is freaking suicide.
