United Patriots Front trio found guilty of inciting contempt of Muslims

Three men from a far-right group have been convicted and fined for inciting contempt and ridicule of Muslims after a stunt protesting the building of the Bendigo mosque.
United Patriots Front (UPF) leader Blair Cottrell, 27, and supporters Neil Erikson, 32, and Christopher Neil Shortis, 46, have “crossed the line” by making a video in which they beheaded a dummy with a toy sword, Magistrate John Hardy said.
The men chanted “Allahu Akbar” in the video and spilled fake blood on the footpath and wall of a garden bed beside the Bendigo City Council offices.
The stunt on October 4, 2015, was in protest at the council approving the building of a mosque in Bendigo.
Their convictions are the first under Victoria’s Racial and Religious Tolerance Act 2001.
Mr Hardy said the video was designed by the men to incite serious contempt or severe ridicule for Muslims in an effort to induce “as many like-minded people” as possible to their rally to be held six days later.
Shortis, a Seventh Day Adventist, indicated he had political aspirations and as a result, would not reoffend.
However, he argued he believed the conviction was unfair.
“While people have mocked my faith as a Christian…a court of law is not the place for hurt feelings,” he said.
“I am concerned here today the DPP has the power to institute a blasphemy law in disguise.
“There is a red line that is crossed that a state has the power to be offended on behalf of a class of persons.”
Outside Melbourne Magistrates Court, he told reporters “the separation of church and state is now in question”.
Earlier on Tuesday, Cottrell told the court it was outside his control what people drew from watching the video, and that he did not intend to “stir up” contempt for Muslims.

Australia has two populations, one is a Muslim one that have not assimilated, the other is a Maronite Christian one with more Lebanese in this group than the population in Lebanon. The Maronite’s are modern, the Muslims are not. The rub is neither of these two groups are into integrating with the Australians. Still almost old tribal ways.

If that unnatural act was actual law, which it shows no indication of being. Every time a qur’an is read publicly, there should be charges against the reader filed under the act.

Unfortunately, in Australia we recently had a human rights commissioner Gillian Triggs who supports Sharia law and would not acknowledge that White people are a race. She included the word “offend” in the Act. What an opportunity to take advantage of the discrimination against white anglo saxons who worked their guts out to develop this country and are now being deprived of basic rights. It resulted in the death by harassment of a brilliant cartoonist Bill Leak. Around that time a Female muslim ABC T.V. presenter who had gotten too big for her boots insulted and offended dinky di Australians on 3 very public occasions, including a scandalous demand to keep Ayaan Hirsi Ali from entering the country and insulting our revered WWI Anzac Diggers, who died to protect this country. When we complained about the insults, harassment and deeply offensive behaviour, Triggs HRC accused us of being racist. That is indicative of the disgusting way that real Australians are being treated, and always the muslim perpetrators are the perpetual victims. We are being bullied and threatened to agree with S.S.M. and Safe Schools (child grooming) Program and one young Doctor who expressed her resistance was targeted to be stripped of her medical qualifications by the Get Up program (Antifa) sponsored by George Soros. The Fabian Society Socialist/communist program is being implemented around us and muslims are being imported to cause trouble, while we are screaming NO.

This incident with UPF happened quite a while back, but only recently were these young men targeted and charged. It is now looking like our police are working against us and as with Britain I suspect they were set up as an example to frighten the rest of us from defending ourselves. Islam has never stopped pushing the Blasphemy law and only in the last few weeks was a compromise reached to include vilification, which may well be used in place of blasphemy. The United Nations is the Front for invading our countries with Islam to start a civil War. We are living in very evil times and being betrayed by our leaders. Trump has a lot of Guts to stand up to them.

Many people who appear to be intelligent allow themselves to be subjugated. And certainly as people go about living their lives in a civilized society, expecting their police and government to “protect” them they are finding out they are being betrayed. All of the western liberal democracies are tumbling down the slope, but to Australia’s credit they also have a large percentage of the population, including politicians, who are prepared to stand against UN led treason. Pauline Hanson recently appeared in Parliament in a burqa to expose the yawing gap between the media-political elites and the ordinary people who have to live with the realities of increased muslim immigrant. Tell me what other country has produced a woman courageous enough to do that.

Australia entered that conflict only after it had been raging for thirty years; only after Suharto stood down in 1998; only after the Howard government’s 1995-8 change in foreign policy direction and only after pressure from the Catholic Church and activists in Portugal, US, UK, and internally. Successive Australian governments covered up the murder of five Australian journalists in 1975 and refrained from intervening following the 1991 Santa Cruz massacre. Foreign Minister, Gareth Evans, called that violence ‘an aberration’; no sanctions were imposed on Indonesia, bucking the trend set by the UK and US. Instead Australia’s support continued, going so far as to recommend the UN reduce resolutions against Indonesia.
And it was an international peacekeeping force, which brought the violence to an end, (admittedly led by Australia which contributed half of the military force.) But I concur with your standpoint that it was another Islamic genocide for which there has been no justice of compensation to victims.

Islam itself is an offence to decency. That’s why everything offends Muslims. Islam is a totalitarian political religion which is poisonous to all free people. It can’t tolerate any other belief system. Like other cults, it claims to be the latest word from the creator while mischaracterizing him. And for those who don’t know, Islam is about conquest and subjugation.
