NY Daily News on AFDI Movie Billboards: Criticizing Beheadings is Islamophobic

70

Here is a textbook case of media malfeasance and self-enforcing sharia compliance. Leonard Green of the NY Daily News wrote up our new campaign for AFDI’s groundbreaking documentary, “Can’t We Talk About This?”

The NYDN headline claims the ads are critical of Muslims. The ad is critical of beheadings in the cause of Islamic law. Does the Daily News support beheadings for blasphemy?

The Daily News headline implies all Muslims support beheadings for those who criticize Islam. They describe the ads as “critical of Muslims.”

Story continues below advertisement

Did they run the ad? No, they ran my five-year-old savage ad.

“Gadfly”? That says it all. These lapdogs are evil.

Gadfly Pamela Geller wins bid to post transit ads for film critical of Muslims

Conservative firebrand Pamela Geller has won a round with the MTA over her efforts to plaster city buses with ads promoting a new film that criticizes Muslims. The new ads announce the release of “Can’t We Talk About This? The Islamic Jihad Against Free Speech,” a film that details efforts by international organizations to compel the U.S. and other Western countries to curtail freedom of speech and criminalize criticism of Islam, according to Geller. She has locked horns with the MTA in court before. It was only after a Muslim group successfully challenged the MTA political ad ban that Geller’s group got the green light. The ad features a stick figure of a director who was beheaded for insulting Islam. The ads are are currently up on close to 100 New York City buses and several Times Square billboards.

People walk by a controversial ad, which has already been defaced, that condemns radical Islam in a New York subway station.

(Spencer Platt/Getty Images)

The film’s title is a nod to Holland filmmaker, Theo Van Gogh, a descendant of the famous painter, who was shot, stabbed and mutilated in front of dozens of witnesses by a Dutch-born Muslim.

Authorities said Van Gogh was murdered in apparent retaliation for a film that featured quotes from the Koran projected onto a naked female body with a commentary composed of the testimonies of abused Muslim women.

Witnesses said his last words, as he pleaded with his killer, were, “Can’t we talk about this?”

Conservative firebrand Pamela Geller has locked horns with the MTA before.

Left/Liberal/feminazis will impose sharia everywhere if there is no resistance to such stupidity.
Just like they banning a Model on Instagram for being too hot and sexy and Professor in Australia wants fitness ads banned as it affects “male gaze” http://bit.ly/2v09Kyv

Why does this useless fish wrap called a newspaper not do a series explain the qur’an in common english terms. Other than they are far to stupid to read and understand the words?

you are absolutely right, it is indeed not possible to ask this question. Einsteid said once that he knew that only the universe and human stupidity had no limits, but at a certain point he wasn’t so sure about the universe being limitless… The Trojans were too drunk celebrating what they thought was a ”victory” over the Spartans bringing the giant horse into their city but before that, they ignored Cassandra’s warnings, the Cambodians had the excuse of not not knowing what was about to happen to them when they cheerfully welcomed Pol Pot as a “liberator” whose army evicted the very same day everyone from their homes to be sent to “re-educational” forced labor camps where millions died to which a marxist-leninist professor in the Netherlands described as a “historical necessity” (SIC)K! The Iranians welcomed the Ayatollah in 1979 whose dictatorship was worse than the shah’s, the communists were elated that an ally of the U.S. imperialists had been ousted and that the ayatollah had taken over but after that they were imprisoned, tortured and executed. There is no tolerance for socialism and communism in islamic countries.
As far as the fat bull dykes and other feminists being so pro-islam and pro-“Palestine” is concerned, they might be much luckier than the stupid “politically correct” gay males, “corrective rape” awaits them as the muzzies like fat women…(a lot of flesh and a brain the size of an amoeba) the destiny of gay males is much worse: beheading, the gallows or being thrown from towers or high buildings.
The rag described here is good for wrapping fish and for nothing else.
Kind regards and best wishes,

it is beyond me as well.
A boy of 15 was raped by four adult males in Afghanistan when the country was ruled by the Taliban satrapy. The four were sentenced to death and beheaded, but the boy too because “he had lost his honor.”
Raped women run the risk of being stoned to death for “adultery” as “they had sex out of wedlock.” A Dutch girl who was raped this year in one of the emirates reported the crime to the police believing she was dealing with a civilized society. She was arrested and charged with “adultery.” She was released after tough negotiations between the Dutch government and that of that primitive authorities, I think the girl’s family had to pay a heavy “fine,” (ransom actually) so that she could leave the country. And the rapists? They’re fine thank you, their families too
By the way, people who have been long time friends and who are “politically correct in extremis” have severed their friendship because they call me a fascist for having the chutzpah (nerve) of saying that the islam is totally incompatible with western values and democracy, and even people who know my name but who don’t know me in person quote the Reformator John Calvin saying that I am “evil to the core and incapably of doing any good deed whatsoever, these people say that Europe should welcome a couple of million more muslims, they also deny Hamas’ using schools, hospitals, women, children and the aged as human shields!
Mentioning my name to one of those utterly “politically correct” calvinists is like showing a cross to Dracula! And some of them are gay too….Can the stupidity of those people be more pathetic?

I’m guessing the only reason any of the men who raped a 15-year old boy were subject to homosexuality charges in Afghanistain is because the boy probably had pubic hair — at which point pederasty magically turns into homosexuality in the islamic world. Boy buggery is commonplace and legal across Afghanistain, Pakistain and Iran.

I always thought it was an endearing term because other words that are considered vulgar are ”spelled” with &@#$ and other signs substituting the vowels…(My mother language is German.) other people in this forum call them “muzzrats,” etc. etc.
On the other hand, very unfortunately the number of moslims who leave the Islam is dismal, but the ones I know use much harsher words for their former “brothers and sisters in Allah.”

My Australian friends don’t mind being called “Aussies,” and it depends how you use the words “Yid” or “Yiddeneh,” after all “c’est le ton qui fait la musique…”
A young Iranian who had become Lutheran and who had been living in a center for people seeking asylum had to leave in a hurry because his own brother was looking for him in order to butcher him, it seems somebody tipped the family in Iran where he was. He stayed at my home for a while and some relatives of mine helped him to go to Australia 17 years ago. The way he talks about his former muslim brothers and sisters (and his own family) is not kind (to put it mildly!) He married now a Lutheran lady and his kids are all baptized in that creed. For obvious reasons he changed his name. The fact that his father AND his mother have cursed him is horrible and that his own brother wanted to kill him is beyond belief.
All the best,
S.

other people in this forum call them “muzzrats,”

True, but is absolutely no reason for you to use what is at best a slang term, and is probably closer to a disparaging one in the vein of “yid”. I certainly never thought of “muzzie” as endearing, but if English is not your native language (it’s excellent, btw) I can understand it might resonate with you in a different way.

My impression is that there are many people leaving Islam today, and more doing so in reality than in name (who needs a fatwa or somesuch thing from the local imam?). Boards like this should be conducive to discussion with Moslems who might want ot view their ancestral faith in a different light, and using disparaging terms would just reinforce their suspicion about those who are critical of their faith. I was impressed wtih a comment you wrote a few days ago, but “muzzie” strikes me as contrary to the spirit of that comment.

We are in a war of hearts and minds as well as bombs and bullets.

The lib turds’ logic goes like this —->

A. Condemning beheading = Islamophobic

Therefore, to be not ‘Islamophobic” one must embraces the act of beheading

B. Since the lib turds can’t possibly be ‘islamophobic’ they must not only embrace, but actually welcome the act of beheading

… and …

C. … since the lib turds consider themselves as ‘supporters of jihadists’ they too must cut off the heads of the kafirs

In other words … once the shan hits the fit, the moslems don’t need to behead us – their lib turd supporters will gladly carry out that bloody task for them

Pamela Geller is a driven woman .that is what I know about her but what she can do about the scourge of Islam
but put herself in danger by the most deranged follower of Islam I fear is not too much.I do know however that she was instrumental in publicising the go fund me raising of funds to help diminish even a little the miscarriage of justice in the case of the little five year old very vulnerable mentally challenged little girl in Idaho Twin Falls,
who was experimentally raped by three Muslim schoolboys. Her rights completely ignored by the judge in that court. I’m not too impressed now by the people who vent on social media as the fund fell short of it’s goal but at least the little family got something.

The ad is accurate. That should be enough. The hard reality is that Islam is a more violent
religion which encourages violence in a way that no other religion does. Hasn’t this reporter
figured that out yet? Amongst other things there is no other religion that has a terrorist group
like ISIS (or ISIL if you will) that believes in using violence to create a one world religion.
Then there are the no go zones which European media outlets say exist. Doesn’t this reporter
understand that?

muslims do not use print forums much, as they cannot apply the usual muslim arguments of shouting down the opposition, violence, or simply leaving, as the comment trail is permanent. A muslim will never answer a question directly, because they know that the qur’an is completely indefensible when even used to defend itself, which is why aberration is always being used as part of the ongoing lie.

While I’m not certain what a “gadfly” is, it clearly is a term meant to disparage Pamela Geller. Very poor journalism to use such a term, with nothing supplied to justify its use. Does the NEW YORK DAILY NEWS not have any journalistic standards? How did that get by his editor?

However, at least the film speaks for itself very articulately and he quoted “a film that details efforts by international organizations to compel the U.S. and other Western countries to curtail freedom of speech and criminalize criticism of Islam”. That says it all. That is a message of the film, and it came through loud and clear, independently of whether Pamela is a “gadfly” or not, whatever that is. Meaning to say that disparaging Pamela can’t stop the truth. The truthful impact of that statement kind of makes this reporter look childish for calling Pamela names.

Ichabod Crain
Ichabod Crain

Not being certain what a “gadfly” is, I Googled it and came up with a couple of lines that seem very disparaging…

Gadfly
1.) a fly that bites livestock, especially a horsefly, warble fly, or botfly.
2.) an annoying person, especially one who provokes others into action by criticism.

Then below that was this entry from Wikipedia for a “Social gadfly”. Perhaps this was the meaning the reporter intended…

“A gadfly is a person who interferes with the status quo of a society or community by posing novel, potently upsetting questions, usually directed at authorities. The term is originally associated with the ancient Greek philosopher Socrates, in his defense when on trial for his life.”

Sounds to me that fits Pamela to a T, and a definition she can be proud of! “Can’t we talk about it?” is certainly a “novel, potently upsetting question”. Furthermore, what a reflection it is on the state of society today that such a question is indeed “novel” and “upsetting”. We really need to talk about that, too.

The last definition used to be the job of the press. Now the start with a conclusion and work backwards with or without collaboration or simply make it all up. Pam Geller on the hand (who is not a reporter thank God) collects her evidence first then back tests it before using it for her advocacy. She has my attention and I agree with her viewpoints. By the way I’d hardly call her Anti-Muslim but I would call her staunchly Anti-Islamist. This is a threat to Muslims as it is to Non-Non-believers

A gadfly is a person who upsets the status quo by posing upsetting or novel questions, or just being an irritant. The term “gadfly” was used by Plato in the Apology to describe Socrates’ relationship of uncomfortable goad to the Athenian political scene, which he compared to a slow and dimwitted horse. During his defense when on trial for his life, Socrates, according to Plato’s writings, pointed out that dissent, like the gadfly, was easy to swat, but the cost to society of silencing individuals who were irritating could be very high. “If you kill a man like me, you will injure yourselves more than you will injure me,” because his role was that of a gadfly, “to sting people and whip them into a fury, all in the service of truth.” This may have been one of the earliest descriptions of gadfly ethics. In modern politics, a gadfly is someone who persistently challenges people in positions of power, the status quo or a popular position. For example, Morris Kline wrote “There is a function for the gadfly who poses questions that many specialists would like to overlook. Polemics are healthy.” The word may be uttered in a pejorative sense, while at the same time be accepted as a description of honourable work or civic duty.

People can deny terrible violence based on personal experiences. For example the one(s) that deface ads discussing islam beheadings may feel angry over some experience like having been mugged and just think why can’t we all get along and strike out in anger to depictions involving violence. Nevertheless, its a denial on their part as is the desire of any government to play paternal protector for what they think i or any should see. In the case of new york its not about protection anyway.

You go, girl! (Can I say that?) Pamela Geller is foremost a champion of Free Speech, a right that we should hold sacred. It is someone else’s right to say Ms. Geller shouldn’t say the things she reports, but to silence someone in our society would be evil, in my opinion. The “Marketplace of Ideas” asks the same question: “Can’t we talk about this?” The answer must be, “Yes,” and we should. Let the debate commence! Personally, I think Ms. Geller would win any debate – probably why some want to silence her. By the way, a note to some of those responding: Pamela’s arguments are so compelling that you do not need to descend to hate speech, name calling, or the like. Just debate the truth – the truth wins. — Pastor Randy Thompson
