A Muslim preacher was outed by videotape played in European court telling his congregation — including children — to “die in your rage” and support ISIS.
Kamran Sabir Hussain, 40, was recorded by an undercover police officer who taped at least 17 of his sermons.
The court hearing was aimed at determining Hussain’s level of recruitment activities for ISIS.
The Daily Mail reports:
On September 2 last year, he allegedly told nine children and 35 adults that martyrdom was the ‘supreme success’, greater than any other such as school or college.
Those who died ‘fighting for Allah’ had nothing to fear because they would be forgiven, he is claimed to have said. They would be martyrs in paradise hated by no one except ‘unbelievers’ and hypocrites.
In front of a congregation of ten to 15 children under the age of 15 and about 25 adults on August 19 last year, Hussain allegedly said the Government funded groups such as the English Defence League and Britain First to insult Muslims, attack them and put them down.
‘The kuffar [unbelievers] will attack you and kill you,’ he added. ‘Stand up and be ready to sacrifice, be ready to stand in the face of the elements of shaytan [satan], be ready to spill blood and have your blood spilt.’
An undercover officer known as ‘Qassim’ began attending the mosque in Stoke-on-Trent in June last year and recorded sermons given by Hussain over a period of ‘some weeks’.
‘Nobody knew he was a law enforcement officer and nobody knew he was recording the sermons,’ said Sarah Whitehouse QC, prosecuting.
The recordings — at least 10 of them — will be played for jurors.
And the evidence seems to be damning.
An imam preaching in a West Midlands mosque acted as a recruiter for Islamic State and told Muslims to “be ready to spill blood” and “establish the law of Allah over the necks of the people” including the Queen, a court has heard. …
Hussain, 40, allegedly told up to 15 children and about 25 adults at the mosque in Tunstall, Stoke-on-Trent, that martyrdom was the “supreme success”, greater than achievements at school or college, The Times reports. …
“Much of the context of Mr. Hussain’s sermons was unobjectionable,” Sarah Whitehouse, QC, for the prosecution, said. “Some of the sermons, however… moved into support and encouragement to those carrying out acts of terrorism.”
The under cover officer was know as ‘Qassim’ and maintained his cover. “Nobody knew he was a law enforcement officer and nobody knew he was recording the sermons,” added Ms. Whitehouse.
The preacher also claimed in one of his sermons that right wing, anti-Muslim groups were controlled by the government. “The kuffar [derogatory term for unbelievers] will attack you and kill you,” he added according to the Daily Mail. …
He made another clear reference to Islamic State terrorists on the 5th of August last year, when he is claimed to have told his congregation that the “mujahideen” [holy warriors] will “take over a land”.
