London Mayor Sadiq Khan Compares Donald Trump to Islamic State

London Mayor Sadiq Khan — who has seen a number of terror attacks strike the city since he took office in May 2016 — has compared Donald Trump to ISIS in another attack on the U.S. President.At a Guardian Live event in Brighton, Khan spoke of his anger at the President’s call for an anti-terror travel ban including several Muslim countries, and of Trump’s quip that he would make an exception for the Labour politician.
Story continues below advertisement“My view was firstly ‘I’m not exceptional’ and secondly ‘Think about what you are saying.’ Because what you are saying is not dissimilar to what Daesh or so-called IS says.
“They say that there is a clash of civilisations, it is not possible to be a Muslim and a westerner, and the west hates us. And you are inadvertently playing their game, you are helping them.”
According to the Sun, the mayor said a travel ban on majority-Muslim nations gave the “wrong impression” of Islam, and claimed Trump’s knowledge of the religion was limited.
“I’m happy to educate people who are ignorant,” Khan told Guardian editor-in-chief, Katharine Viner, adding that American Muslims had made a great contribution as students, artists and politicians.
“I’m a westerner, but also a very proud Muslim. There are some people who want to divide our communities – I’m not going to let them.”
The London mayor repeated his previous demands for the cancellation of Trump’s state visit next year, declaring: “I think at a time when the President of the United States is doing and saying so many things that we disagree with, the idea of just rolling out the red carpet and having a state visit is wrong.”
At the Labour party conference event, Khan also spoke in favour of cutting the number of white men in parliament by using what he called “hybrid” shortlists.
According to the Guardian, these would consist of women and people from ethnic minorities, when selecting candidates to become MPs.
The Labour figure first demanded Trump’s state visit be cancelled in June, after the president slammed Khan for telling London residents there is “no reason to be alarmed” following the London Bridge terror attack which killed seven and injured dozens more.
He again repeated the call in July, claiming Britons oppose the U.S. President’s policies, and that because of this he argued it would not be “appropriate” for the President to make a state visit.

I’m glad I never got hooked into the “football” culture…….I would be so sick at heart right now….to me they look like overpaid circus performers….disgusting and un-American…the country that has given them so much based on only physical prowess….while some well-deserving scientists with thousands of dollars in school debt slaves away in labs trying to find a way to cure cancer…..that’s messed up.

Exactly what are these “great contributions”, Sadiq. (and yes, I do realize there have been some respected Moslem engineers in the USA)? BTW, students, while important, are rarely known for their “great contributions” during their student years.

The question betrays a willful, I would say, ignorance of the history of the Islamic world.
I mentioned on this board last week that the hospital was “invented” in Egypt. An Ottoman Turk developed the first vaccine against smallpox (this work was unknown to Edward Jenner, who is generally credited in the West for that feat).
An Egyptian developed the first incubator ( I don’t know the inventor’s religion). Bernard Lewis, in his What Went Wrong notes that a 13th century Syrian physician preceded much of Harvey’s work on blood circulation, although he failed to back up his claims by experimentation (this same man’s estate and library was used to create the first hospital). For generations, Islamic algebraists exceeded their European counterparts.
My point has never been to extol the inventiveness or creativity of the Moslem world. But unlike some here, I do not wish to deny it, and, in the context of the present struggle, there is no need to; in fact, I think an attempt to do so is counter-productive.
For those who attach some great importance to the Moslem world’s lack of invention, and revel in a sense of superiority because of it, I offer this from p. 79 of Lewis’ book cited above:
In the Muslim world, independent inquiry virtually came to an end, and science was for the most part reduced to a veneration of a corpus of approved knowledge. There were some practical innovations …
I would note that the Christian West has not been immune to that tendency.

You list all these great accomplishments of Muslim born people…..how many of those inventors and bright Muslims raped women and children, tossed gays off of buildings, beheaded people, and any number of other inhumane acts in the name of their Allah?
I’m guessing none.
It is the trick of the Globalists ( all good people’s conquerors) to make sane people’s criticism of the death and violence of radical Islam to look like racism…..and so many are buying into it…..when the last time I checked God built into us a self-defense mechanism to know danger when we see it….

For all practical purposes, englanistan is an islamic republic. The laws favour islam, muslims are paid to colonize the majority of voters favour islam or islamic enablers. Non muslims are punished for criticizing both islam and the laws protecting it. The government of englandistan prohibits those critical of islam from entering the country, it censors the internet for anything that might offensive to muslims.

One really has to wonder if the elections in England (or at least the London Area) are as compromised by fraud as the Illinois elections. Even other muslims who wish to live without martyring themselves have to have been alarmed when his admonition to Londoners regarding terror was to get used to it. This is now the way of life in London. Unless martyring yourself is on your (very short) bucket list, who would be okay with this situation, for yourself or your family? Now he wants to dictate by race/religion/gender who becomes an MP, the British equivalent to the House of Representatives. Thus islamism breaks out of its regional status in England, confirming that rather than a religion, islam is a political system incompatible with any other.
