A veritable who’s who of far-right rock stars such as Pamela Geller, Mike Cernovich and Erik Prince are slated to join Milo Yiannopoulos, Ann Coulter and former White House strategist Stephen K. Bannon at UC Berkeley later this month for “Free Speech Week,” event organizers say.
Far right? I prefer free speech rock star. What is “far right,” anyway? It’s an absurd term, made more so by ascribing it to those who work in defense of individual freedom. My work is dedicated to individual rights. My work is dedicated to equality for all before the law. Is that “far right”? My work is dedicated to freedom of speech and freedom of expression. Is that “far right”? I oppose jihad terror and the most extreme and brutal ideology on the face of the earth, sharia. Is that “far right”?
Is pursuit of the truth in defense of freedom “far right”?

Stephen Bannon, Ann Coulter and Milo Yiannopoulos will headline far-right Berkeley festival

A veritable who’s who of far-right rock stars such as Pamela Geller, Mike Cernovich and Erik Prince are slated to join Milo Yiannopoulos, Ann Coulter and former White House strategist Stephen K. Bannon at UC Berkeley later this month for “Free Speech Week,” event organizers say.
The lineup’s release Thursday comes as university officials say student organizers have failed to provide the paperwork necessary for the event to go forward. Past events featuring planned appearances by Yiannopoulos and Coulter have been marred by violence from demonstrators.
The upcoming appearances of Bannon, Yiannopoulos and Coulter have previously been reported. On Thursday however, Yiannopoulos’ company announced an expanded roster of speakers for the multi-day event, which starts Sept. 24. More guests will be revealed in the coming days, Yiannopoulos said.
“Our plan was to slowly release the names of our confirmed speakers over the next two weeks, but the reaction to our announcements of Steve Bannon and Ann Coulter was so huge that we decided to put out the full list,” Yiannopoulos said.

As long as the speakers are safe, and I believe they will be adequately protected (Geller and Horowitz are no strangers to the lefts tactics). It would be wise for the attendees to realize the potential for violence and make proper precautions. As far as the free-loaders in the West goes there is no chance for anything but a disastrous future for any nation importing vagrants into their country. Indolence among the citizens has already strained the welfare system. Everything the liberals touch eventually causes ruin to individuals and societies.

Agreed. They may want to follow Pamela’s strategy of hiring additional armed security as she did at her “Draw Mohammed” cartoon contest at Garland, TX, which culminated in an armed shootout with two raghed terrorists bent on obstruction and death.

Those in politics, the media, and academia who see fit to deny the First Amendment rights of freedom of expression of others need to be reminded that the constitutional liberties guaranteeing those freedoms are the very same liberties that allow political discourse, the free media, and public education to even exist in the first place.
That the L.A. Times would choose to label Pamela and the rest of the roster of scheduled speakers as “far right” or “extreme” is a symptom of a bigger societal ill.

Thank you Pamela for saying what I have been saying. But let me make one more remarkable point. Even conservative media use these indefensible terms to describe our own champions, like Le Pen in France was called by FOX NEWS and even WND, if my memory serves me well. All Republicans need to come to the aid of their party and design and develop the proper terminology they believe best explains their position and then they must insist, yes, INSIST that the media use it. Please do not let the media call you ANTI-Islamic. You are pro-freedom, pro-life (respect for human life and dignity expressly denied by Islamic texts and practices. You are an Islamic informer, an Exposer of Islamic culture. You are a teacher, a patriot and a believer in the American Constitutional values.
