I have heard many times that Satan’s greatest triumph is in getting people to believe he does not exist. He owns you for all eternity when you are living in such self deception, as he will have the right to torment you in utter darkness for billions of years. He took your well deserved (all of us) death penalty upon himself, but you have to receive his Kingship instead of Satan’s.The good news is that Jesus is a wonderful Savior and King. Apparently there is some controversy over that issue. I am way busy and cannot recheck Scripture just now. At least during the thousand year reign of Christ, pre lake of fire, I thought Satan and his demons would be actually tormenting the residents of hell. I thought he and his hierarchy of fallen beings would be both tormenting and tormented. It does make sense that once he is thrown into the lake of fire that his authority should completely end. I will have to explore this when can. In the meantime, I will just remain very thankful that God saved me from that fate.

Martin Luther took some very important steps away from the Catholics doctrines, including salvation by works + grace. Righteous works are a natural outflow of walking with Christ, but salvation cannot be bought by indulgences, burning people alive who want to read the Bible for themselves. We know that that when we take Communion we are remembering what Jesus did for us, but we know we are not really eating his flesh or drinking his blood. ISIS does that to Christians. Martin Luther may have disliked his mother, or had any number of reasons to ask her to stay Catholic. I am very thankful to have known some very fine Catholics who I strongly believe to be born again Christians, but the majority are definitely not. But the Roman Church is full of idolatry. Perhaps you need to get alone with an authorized KJV Bible, and study.
