Matteo Renzi, the former prime minister of Italy, and a long-time socialist, has issued a threat of sorts against other European countries, telling them that if they fail to take in their fair share of migrants and refugees, then his country would stop accepting their forms of currency.
He’s particularly incensed with the push-back of countries like Poland and Hugary to take in migrants.
The European Commission has launched a lawsuit against a handful of its nations, including Poland, to compel them to take in refugees.

Now, Renzi’s promised to push through economic sanctions against those EU countries that don’t take in refugees.
From the Express:
Matteo Renzi said he would use “the iron” fist to force countries in Eastern Europe to “respect the rules” as his country takes the brunt of the escalating migrant crisis.
He said: “Those who cannot stay in Italy must be accepted in Europe, otherwise we will stop transferring money to countries that do not accept quotas.”
The socialist chief’s furious rant comes as Eastern European nations, including Poland and Hungary, continue to refuse to take migrants from Italy under the European Union’s migrant quota scheme.
Fed up of paying for members who lack solidarity, Mr Renzi vowed to punish them by cutting their cash.
They currently receive billions of pounds a year from Western nations in what are known as ‘Cohesion Funds’ – a form of foreign aid designed to bring their economies up to scratch to adopt the euro.
Speaking to to local radio show ‘Radio Anch’io’, Mr Renzi, who is hoping make a return as PM in the next election, said the migrant crisis “will last twenty years”.
He added: “But there are three essential things to do: first, to really help them in their countries of origin, which means, as we did, to increase investment in international cooperation; second, ius soli; and third, the limited number on the basis of integration capacity.”
In mid-June, the European Commission brought a lawsuit against Poland, Czech Republic and Hungary for refusing to accept refugees and violating EU legislation.
Italy has taken in 94,000 or so refugees and migrants this year alone. Another 2,300 have died while trying to cross into the country.

At its shortest distance, the EU country [Italy] is a mere 290 miles from the coast of Libya, a largely lawless country which has seen the number of people smugglers rocket.
Given the short distance to the EU from the North African coast, Italy, is dealing with a higher number of migrants on their shores when compared to other countries on the continent, particularly northern Europe.
Rome has pleaded with Brussels and its neighbours for help in dealing with the influx, with many politicians voicing their frustration over what they see as being abandoned to deal with the issue themselves.

Who the hell is he to demand to countries like Poland and Hungary. Those countries could see this for what it was and decided they didn’t want their country to decay and go down like Britain and Germany, etc. If Italy doesn’t like the situation, STOP TAKING REFUGEES. Or, they can make a deal with Poland and Hungary. Two cases of wine and a Ferrari for EVERY refugee they accept. How long would Italy be able to keep that up…..

Fascist or communist, it is the same. One national and other international socialism by name only. EC is suing now Hungary, Poland and Czech Republic with Slovakia for refusing to take immigrants. Corrupted Czech socialist government would like to comply with the Brussels orders, but Czech people are organizing huge demonstrations. Their government did not forget defenestration by We the people in the history.

They’ve already determined that ~their~ fair share is Zero.
Based on the reported problems in increased crime, both against property and against citizens, they have totalled up the bills and concluded that these “immigrants” are a Net Loss.
Your poor decision making skills does not necessitate a change in immigration policy by the wiser and more prudent governments of the former Eastern Block.

He’s the former socialist PM, so why is he ranting? The Italian people do not want him, I suppose the left may want him, but the rest do not. He had best not try his iron fist nonsense against the resilient Polish and Hungarian people. They are not going to be thrilled by his rhetoric. The EU was a wretchedly bad idea, will not work. The days of the EU are numbered because some countries will not, shall not, won’t give up their identity and their culture, and their way of life. Next time the west hands over millions to foreign governments, they should follow the money trail, and make certain the monies are going for projects that hel people, and not in the politicians pockets.

There is no “fair share”, because the vast majority of those pitching up on Italy’s shores are black Africans from countries like Nigeria with no claim to asylum whatsoever. Economic migrants, economic parasites.
The problem is allowing them to land in the first place and giving them the opportunity to trigger the asylum process and the lengthy bureaucracy and cost that comes with it, even when it’s obvious that their claims will be rejected. This also gives them breathing space and the time to plan their journeys north and west to what they see (correctly) as the more multicultural welfare-generous paradises of Britain and Sweden.
They are stacking up in Italy because the strong and hostile countries of Central Europe are blocking their passage, and even if they now reach an equally hostile France, there will never again be a situation where 10,000 set up camp on the French coast waiting for their chance to cross to Britain. The people smugglers will manage to get some through, but almost all will have to be sent back eventually for two simple reasons: they have entered Europe illegally, bypassing all the proper channels, and they are not genuine refugees in any sense of the word.

It must happen one day, you’re right. The population of black Africa is set to double by the middle of the century; they have already pretty much destroyed most of their own countries, including once prosperous South Africa and Zimbabwe. What happens when the continent is completely ruined and can’t support the billions who will still continue to breed rapidly? They will head for Europe – but the numbers will be so great, and so violent, that the people of Europe will finally see the danger and demand that they be repelled by force, even if it means killings. The future of the continent is already at stake and that would be the final nail in the coffin should we not take action.
