I was just going over how difficult it was going to be for me to remove all my payments from PayPal (for a lot of things).
Thankfully I won’t have to boycott them _quite_ yet. Google is another on the chopping block. Severing all those tentacles is no mean feat however.

Nothing stopping you from letting PayPal know that you don’t like what you see them doing–I’m glad to hear I won’t hafta close my account, but that didn’t stop me from telling them I didn’t like what I saw them up to

It’s mainly convenience, you get out of entering the credit card numbers, I think PayPay also offers some kinda back-up guarantee too

Same here…If they give something for free, that only means that allows them to gain something more valuable than what they are giving. I saw a documentary that shows how they take people’s personal data and sell it!!!!! YES, SELL IT. This without asking for any of their so called “costumers” CONSENT.

It takes a very mature intelligent company to recognize and correct a mistake. Paypal, by acting in a responsible corporate manner gives some hope that there is some decency left in the business world.

Paypal is a good idea, but it is not a good idea to try and manipulate who can use it and where. Paypal, like currency or credit should be issued based on the customer’s ability to handle it, not the political beliefs of business patronized.

I only have a few accounts with Paypal and I don’t intend to add any more – unless, in some cases, it’s more convenient). SO grateful that Paypal came to its senses (momentarily) and reinstated Atlas Shrugged! Hope they do the same for Jihad Watch – Spencer is a class act, but I guess that doesn’t mean diddly squat with the ignorant supporters of a dreadful & deadly religion!

Nope, they did not ‘recognize and correct’ a ‘mistake’. After banning multiple sites (including Jihad Watch) ,they just couldn’t stand the public backlash and the thousands of calls, emails and tweets condemning them for their hypocrisy, and were forced to backtrack. That is not ‘mature’ behaviour, but arguably intelligent.

When business allows political preferences to influence business decisions, that is a good sign that it is well on its way to bankruptcy. A neutral market place is the only way the free enterprise system can work. If companies try to influence the life styles and political choices of customers, they will alienate more than they attract. Look at how the lame stream media has rendered itself irrelevant with declining influence over people who once trusted them.

I don’t know why SJW culture has seeped into the mindsets of the CEOs of so many of the conglomerates. Just goes to show you that they are out of touch with reality and the mainstream (flyover country) people. They are so far out there that they are willing to bet their fortunes on the “cause de jour” or “cause de celebe”. Sort of reminds me of the nerds in HS who wanted to “fit in” but never realized that being a true leader did not involve following the rest of the sheep. It is always a good idea to have backup alternatives in place whenever running any business. And that includes PERSONAL business. I personally have three methods of maintaining my finances, and I do NOT discuss all of them. Even the IRS has limitations on where they can look and what information is available to them. Moreover, before anyone jumps on “illegal” rants, let me tell you that everything I do is legal to the best of my knowledge and ability.

There was nothing moral in their decision to remove the ban, but there was something very premature when a mid-level bureaucrat decided to act too soon.
Corporations like Paypal, Google, Facebook,etc., have nothing to loose when the people don’t have a choice. So getting on board with Marxists makes sense.
But, after seeing what happened to Target when they push the little people too far, PayPal’s senior management saw an investor concern and acted with the bottom line in mind.
The Progressives, this time around, know that corporation run governments will and do grant advantages to the corporations who control them.
All these tech companies are doing is securing a marketplace advantage until they can have their monopolies.

I am glad that Pamela will be using mulitple payment providiers in the future. I have considered shutting down my Paypal account, but it seemed to me I would pay a penalty in terms of convenience and some people I donate money to might get less if I put contributions on a credit card.
I would like to know of Paypal’s competitors and of people’s experiences with them. Yes, it they reversed themselves, but I don’t know that they understand their entire vetting process for their customers is severely flawed. As far as I am concerned, they have shown themselves to be a bunch of inept clowns.
