Afghanistan: Muslim soldiers are using boys as sex slaves, and the U.S. is looking the other way

40

This has been going on for a long time. I wrote an article at Breitbart in 2015 about how it was Obama administration policy for American troops to ignore child rape by our Afghan “allies.” This heinous practice should not still be going on. President Trump should put a stop to it immediately, and while he is at it, end our pointless and horrifically costly (in lives and money) misadventure in Afghanistan.

“Afghan soldiers are using boys as sex slaves, and the U.S. is looking the other way,” by Anuj Chopra, Washington Post, July 18, 2017:

KABUL – Last summer, an Afghan police commander invited me to his post for tea — and to view his “beautiful” boy sex slave.

Story continues below advertisement

I stumbled through a farm of chest-high opium poppy stocks to reach his mud-and-wattle outpost on the outskirts of Tarin Kot, the capital of southern Uruzgan province that is teetering in the face of a Taliban upsurge. On its open roof, a slight teenager sat next to his hulking captor, stealing sad glances at me as he quietly filled our tea glasses. A shock of auburn curls jutted out of his embroidered pillbox hat and his milky eyes were lined with kohl. The commander flaunted him the way a ringmaster exhibits an exotic animal. “See my beautiful bacha (boy slave),” he said, blithe and casual, a gun dangling at his side.

The commander, an ally of the United States in the war against the Taliban, is not an anomaly. Hundreds of such outposts of the Afghan Local Police (ALP), a front-line force armed and funded with U.S. taxpayer dollars, and other pro-government militias are believed to have enslaved young boys for dancing and sexual companionship, many of them kidnapped.

Freedom from the Taliban’s puritanical regime in 2001 also brought freedom to do “bacha bazi,” the cultural practice of sexual slavery and abuse of boys who are often dressed effeminately and whose possession is seen by Afghan strongmen as a marker of power and masculinity….

I reported last year how the Taliban are exploiting entrenched bacha bazi to infiltrate Afghan security ranks, effectively using child sex slaves — many of them brutally abused and hungry for revenge — as Trojan Horses to mount deadly insider attacks.

Institutionalized bacha bazi, described as culturally sanctioned male rape, is likely to continue unabated in the absence of any real deterrent. The United Nations has called on Afghanistan to urgently adopt legislation to criminalize bacha bazi and swiftly prosecute state officials guilty of the practice.

One senior official in Uruzgan described bacha bazi as an addiction worse than opium, saying commanders compete — and sometimes battle — one another to snatch pretty boys. Many prowl neighborhoods for boys “who have not seen the sun for years,” a cultural euphemism for unblemished beauty.

Last year when I unearthed a kidnapping epidemic of boys, it was disturbing to see local authorities pussyfooting around the issue and using security to rationalize their inaction. On the surface, President Ashraf Ghani has vowed zero tolerance for bacha bazi in security forces. But multiple officials in southern Afghanistan told me that any action against guilty commanders — a bulwark against insurgents — would anger them and cause them to abandon their posts with their loyalists, paving the way for the Taliban. There is therefore no desire to recover or rescue the innocent victims whose lives have been upended by this practice….

May be mistaken, but isn’t one of our military men in jail for hitting/assaulting some foreign soldier some time back for that same reason? The military are not allowed to “interfere”.

Our ‘Afghan allies’ and our ‘Saudi allies’ in the ‘war on terror’. A trillion dollars and thousands of American lives to create an IRANIAN puppet state in Iraq. Our ‘allies’ against the Syrian government who so happen to be Islamic State maniacs. It is all beyond farce by now.

Iraq used to have a substantial Shi’a population, maybe even the majority, but was ruled by Sunnis. Has that changed? Is Iraq now run by Shi’tes?

Not that far-off from the rest of the world actually, though We in the west hide it more, i.e. “holiewould”, and “Hind’s hoofs in High places” {Politicians, etc.}. The only thing holding them back, is the Pope hasn’t given them “Sainthood”, YET !

Between this, growing poppies for opium, and living in the stone age, why help them at all? We should have just nuked the country back in 2001.

in 2001, bush should have just invaded a small part of afghanistan and iraq, built the world’s biggest and most secure military bases in these two areas, and told the muslim world we are here to stay so that we can respond swiftly and overwhelmingly to any action that harms the interests of the US. As for the rest of these two countries and the rest of the muslim world, we should have just ignored them and let the animals do what they’ve always done. this would have cost 1% of what has been spent, and resulted in no loss of american life. trump should consider this

It’s not Americas job or the United Nations job to change people’s cultures. as reprehensible as this is, it’s part of the Afghan culture and the only way it’s going to stop is Afghanis stop it themselves

Not one dollar of American money nor one soldier’s damaged toenail is worth helping a culture as sick as this. Any culture that tolerates pedophilia has zero fear of the Lord. That is their big problem. And I can say the same thing about American Generals who say we have to tolerate this happening on our own bases. Our soldiers have had to hear the screams in the night of young, kidnapped boys. I wrote and called my Representative and Senators about this several years ago when 2 of our troops, with stellar careers, were flown away and robbed of their careers the very day they rebuked one of these miscreants who had kept a kidnapped boy for two weeks. The boys mother approached them for help when they Afghan commander slugged her for asking to get her son back. There were heated words, and one of our troops knocked the Afghan commander to the ground. He wasn’t even injured. But these two Americans, who had heard the screams and who were also fathers, went through several years of reprisals from our higher ups over this situation. All it would take is for enough Americans to be willing to let some truth filter in between their ears, and read Congress the riot act. Most people in Congress care about one thing only-getting re-elected.

I’m tired of America being the world’s policeman the Afghan culture and for the most part the Arab culture is abhorrent when it comes to sex. I’m over trying to westernize these gutter cultures

the drugs the we control there are vast, in the billions of dollars. We will look the other way so long as that money is funding who knows what operations. We went into Afghanistan for gas, minerals, and heroin. The heroin production has skyrocketed under our watch — and literally under our watch. Our soldiers patrol the poppy fields. At least I’ve seen plenty of pictures of it.

It’s not a lot different than looking the other way at most of the Middle East, because of $. It’s always about the $. I wish it weren’t so.

A few years ago a U.S. soldier beat an Afghani soldier (who the U.S. was training) who kept a young boy chained to the Afghani’s bed and was sexually abusing the young boy. The U.S. soldier was disciplined and the Afghani continued to abuse the boy. The U.S. needs to get out of Afghanistan as soon as possible. It is a no win situation.

And these animals pray five times a day to their god, which is not my God. I hope God is not merciful to these evil people who have such hatred in their hearts. It would be very disheartening if there was no punishment for evil after we die.

America will pay for teaming with savages that rape children. We should be rescuing the children instead of adults from Washington’s muslim sect flavor of the week. And we should be ending these vermin pedophiles when they’re unearthed. You cannot walk with God while holding hands with the devil.

Evident that while proclaiming hatred of homosexuals and homosexuality, many Muslim men are homosexuals and pedophiles. Just a sick lot who proclaim one thing and then rationalize why it’s okay to be a pervert. America should get out of Afghanistan. It is doing a useless job there and now we see also permitting the abuse of boys by vile, filthy perverted Muslim men.

Yep, a good reason we should have already gotten out.

We can’t save anybody there unless we’re willing to kill anybody that violates our “values” which would mean killing nearly all the Muslim men.

It is sickening that we’re propping up these barbarians.

This is a very hypocritical practice when they throw gay people off roofs, but they are gay themselves. Their religion condemns Homosexuality, but says it is OK if it is a child. I do not agree with it but it is their way of life. Only God can help those children.

I want to tell all those animals that have “Boy Sex Slaves” that they are Queer Homosexual Pediphiles. They keep preaching hatetred towards Homosexuals, but it seems that most of them are Queer. What percentage of Islamic men are Gay? Does anyone know? I was told by a woman who lived over there for years, that most of the men would rather have sex with a young Boy or a Goat than a woman. How true is that statement?
