Trump Rips Mueller Query into Obstruction as ‘Witch Hunt’

21

President Donald Trump on Thursday took to Twitter to issue some scathing criticism about reports that special counsel Robert Mueller was going to investigate him for obstruction, calling the direction of the query a “witch hunt” based in partisan politics.

First, Trump tweeted this: “They made up a phony collusion with the Russians story, found zero proof, so now they go for obstruction of justice on the phony story. Nice.”

And then he followed that with another tweet, even more scathing.

“You are witnessing the single greatest WITCH HUNT in American political history — led by some very bad and conflicted people! #MAGA,” he wrote.

It’s true: there hasn’t been any proof presented about Team Trump’s supposed collusion with Russia during the 2016 elections.

But now Mueller, who’s been appointed to look into that charge, has now announced he’s going to interview top-ranking executive officials to ask them if they were told by Trump to help stop the FBI investigation into collusion.

It does have all the makings of a political witch hunt.

From NBC News:

“President Donald Trump on Thursday morning once again dismissed the Russia investigation as a ‘phony story’ and blasted federal investigators as “bad and conflicted people” after a report said special counsel Robert Mueller is examining whether the president attempted to obstruct justice.

“Trump has repeatedly lambasted the Russia probe as a ‘witch hunt,’ using the phrase in at least eight tweets since March.

“Mueller and his team of investigators are interviewing senior intelligence officials about Trump’s role as part of an expanded probe, the Washington Post reported on Wednesday night. NBC News has not confirmed that the president is under investigation.

“Those who have agreed to be interviewed, according to the Post, include Dan Coats, director of national intelligence; Mike Rogers, chief of the National Security Agency; and Richard Ledgett, who recently left his post as deputy to Rogers.

“Mark Corallo, a spokesman for Trump’s personal lawyer, Marc Kasowitz, criticized the Post report: ‘The FBI leak of information regarding the president is outrageous, inexcusable and illegal.’

“The report in the Post cited anonymous sources who had been briefed on requests made by Mueller’s investigators. It was not known whether the FBI was the source of the information in the report.”

Let the political games begin — again.

The “witch hunt” is accomplishing this – it is preventing or, at least, slowing down the President from moving forward with his agenda for America.

The inactive, uncooperative left wing Republican Congress is foot dragging, too. That is worse.

Its corruption and common saudi/qatar/defence/george soros Lobby funds that bind the crooks on both sides in subverting what Trump wants to do to help America economically and security wise.

Dems have sold American interest time and time again including in passing the Iran nuke deal http://tinyurl.com/mcake4d

The US is Constitutionallystructured to have Three (and only three) branches of Govt. If the DOJ and were independent of the President like the Dems seem to wish, then we would essentially have Four branches of Govt. Not the case, nor should it be, which is why Prof Alan Dershowitz and Prof Turley both say there can be no obstruction of justice here: not a crime for the President to do what is in his Constitutional power.

This just a fake accusation and the Dem pundits and politicians probably know it and don’t care if they can make enough of the public believe it. For the left their end justifies any means.

There is no possibility that Mueller can be impartial and fair – he’s Comey’s best buddy.
Trump should fire him today with no warning of any kind to anyone.
Get an investigation head who has nothing to do with any of the players.

The McCarthy Hearings part two, with the democrats screaming witch, witch.

Trump should open new investigations on Lynch for obstruction, Comey for leaking, and the Seth Rich murder. He can also arrest Donna Brazile and charge her with felony fraud for cheating in the debates, a crime to which she publicly confessed. He should have the Secret Service investigate all violent threats in the wake of the shooting and arrest anyone who has threatened a government official. He should use the US Marshalls to investigate as the FBI became so politicized under Obama it cannot be trusted, and new DOJ lawyers if he has to hire them himself.

“They made up a phony collusion with the Russians story, found zero proof, so now they go for obstruction of justice on the phony story. Nice”. How much stupider can democrats get… wait a few minutes and they will demonstrate. Out of idle curiosity, would some democrat please explain how a non existent event that never happened, can be obstructed?

It doesn’t take much to convince the brain dead President Trump haters who have no mental capacity to do anything but follow the democrat zombie shuffle.

Where is Mueller’s investigation into Hillary’s emails. Despite mountains of evidence of criminal wrongdoing on her part, nothing. This whole “investigation” is just preparation to bring charges against Trump.

Or, Actually just a diversion in an effort to protect Comey Clinton and Lynch.
The fix is in and Trump knows it…hence his (and Kellyanne’s) tweets.

I think you hit the nail on the head. This is distraction to take the attention away from Hillary, Podesta, Lynch, et al.

President Trump hit the nail on the head since Mueller, who as FBI Director missed the signals on the Boston Marathon bombing and Ft. Hood, is no longer conducting the original counterintelligence operation but is merely hunting for things of which to disapprove. Who do you think he is going to believe, his good longtime friend Comey or the guy who fired him?

Trump is pure genius and has been always one step ahead of the deep state and their treasonous puppets! How about an investigation in Obama and Clinton who used our intelligence services to spy on over 20 million Americans including over 150 judges and congress so they could blackmail them into doing Obama’s will?

With apologies to good Americans, I am more and more disgusted at how traitorous and despicable the other half have become. That includes lame duck republicans.
America seems to be out of control and in a total mess. Trump is one man and can’t make America great again on his own.
Desperate times call for desperate measures.

How much tax money, meaning the peoples’ money, is being wasted on this piffle? I’m astonished at the poor sports who are trying to smear Trump because Mrs. Sleezebag didn’t win? It’s time to badger those lunatic leftists about how they’re wasting the peoples’ money.

Mueller should be removed, in fact, he should have never been appointed, as he has a definite conflict of interest being of personal friend of Comey the Fired One.
