John McCain Says American Leadership Was Better Under Obama

Sen. John McCain, a Republican in Name Only, told an overseas, left-leaning newspaper, The Guardian, that Barack Obama was better for America — a better leader for America — than President Donald Trump.

McCain made the remarks while speaking in context of The Guardian’s story on how Trump has alienated some of the leftist leaders on the world stage.

President Donald Trump has irked some on the left — and Sen. John McCain, who apparently, is spending his remaining Senate days taking as many pot shots at the White House as possible.

McCain, of course, played right into that “hate Trump” mantra.

The Arizona senator is still ticked off at Trump for saying, during presidential campaign season, he wasn’t so much a hero during his captivity days during Vietnam — but more, well, a captive.

Since, McCain has used every opportunity that’s presented to take pot shots at Trump. The Guardian hit piece was just the latest.

But here’s the pertinent portion of The Guardian piece:

“Senator John McCain, a prominent Republican voice on foreign policy, was visibly irked when asked by the Guardian what message Trump had sent to the United Kingdom, one of America’s most enduring allies.

“‘What do you think the message is? The message is that America doesn’t want to lead,’ McCain said, while adding of the rest of the world: ‘They are not sure of American leadership, whether it be in Siberia or whether it be in Antarctica.’

“Asked if America’s standing on the global stage was better under Barack Obama, McCain, a fervent critic of the previous administration’s foreign policy, responded: ‘As far as American leadership is concerned, yes.'”

Remember: Obama was the president who kicked off his first term by going on an apology tour against America — an apology tour that took him all over the world.

Obama was the president who sold out Israel and America’s allies in the Middle East by constructing a damaging nuclear treaty with Iran, and pushing it through to completion.

Obama was the president who, at all costs, pressed for diplomacy — even when doing so, put American troops and allies in danger.

Obama was the president who embraced all-things-migrant, all-things-refugee, without properly vetting those who came into America to make sure they weren’t terrorists.

Obama was the president who demanded, in line with far-left amnesty activists, open borders — even for those who would seek to do America harm.

And Trummp?

He’s the guy who touts an “America First” policy for both domestic and foreign matters.
