This is not civilization, but savagery at its worst — because it is religious and “righteous.”

This is what the apologists would bring to your neighborhood.

This is what those who enthuse about sharia want to see happen to you if you don’t obey its brutal code.

Ignore this at your peril — the successful spread of sharia will condemn our children and following generations to unimaginable misery.

Unmarried couple are buried up to their necks and stoned to death for ‘violating Islamic law’ in Mali as jihadist groups take hold of the country

  • It was the first known stoning execution to take place in the country since 2012
  • Extremists dug two holes for the unmarried man and woman who lived together
  • Members of the public invited to take part in execution in Taghlit, Kidal region
  • Four people threw stones at the paur until they had died, local officials claimed

By Jay Akbar For Mailonline, 17 May 2017:

An unmarried couple were stoned to death by Islamic extremists in Mali for the first known time since 2012, local officials claimed.

‘The Islamists dug two holes where they put the man and the woman who lived maritally without being married,’ the official said. ‘They were stoned to death.’

The same source said members of the public were invited to take part in the public execution in Taghlit, close to Aguelhok in the Kidal region, adding: ‘Four people threw stones at them until they died.’

Another local official confirmed the information, saying the Islamists had accused the unmarried couple of violating ‘Islamic law’ – which requires punishment by stoning.

Northern Mali fell to jihadist groups linked to Al-Qaeda in March 2012 and although they were driven out of key towns by a French-led military intervention the following year, Islamists have regrouped and now have spread further south.

During their brief control of key towns in the vast north, jihadist groups imposed a version of Sharia law which forced women to wear veils and set whipping and stoning as punishment for transgressions.

It is the first public stoning known to have taken place in Mali since July 2012, when the Ansar Dine group stoned a couple in public in Aguelhok who they accused of having children outside marriage.

The young pair were publicly executed in the remote town of Aguelhok, near the vast West African nation’s northern border with Algeria, on Sunday, a spokesman for the Ansar Dine [‘Defenders of the faith’] group said at the time.

A local official said members of the public were invited to take part in the public execution in Taghlit, close to Aguelhok in the Kidal region, adding: 'Four people threw stones at them until they died

‘These two people were married and had extra-conjugal relations,’ the spokesman added. ‘Our men on the ground in Aguelhok applied sharia [Islamic law].’

‘They both died right away and even asked for this application.

‘We don’t have to answer to anyone over the application of sharia,’ he said.

You are 100% correct! However, we must remember that any Islamist who rejects any part of the Quran, which includes the many commandments to murder all non-believers, is guilty of a crime that requires execution. So we must extend the application of extermination to ALL Muslims. The sooner the better!

Islam unhinged. We have our OWN problem here with Demoncraps becoming unhinged. Relentless, unstopped attack against Donald Trump whipping them into a frenzy never seen before.

All wild-eyed with excitement, foaming at the mouth. Frightful bunch….

Perhaps they are unhinged because of the three million disenfranchised voters, whose votes were worth less than the minority voters. What other nation on earth, claiming to be a democracy, allows the minority to win over the majority?

If a system based on the electoral votes was some sudden surprise, maybe people would be unhinged … This is the way the game is played. Very old argument you bring up. By now, I’m sure you’ve seen the analogy of a football game. If your team gets 500 yards, and I get 200, and you have greater time of possession, and all these other things that would seem to indicate you should have won — but the rules of the game are, whoever has the most points at the end of the game, that team wins. You can talk about popular vote all you want. You lost. ‘But we had more yards than the other team!’ But you got outscored. You lost. Get over it. We are a republic, not a democracy — learn the difference.

So you agree and accept that all voters are NOT equal, and that some votes count MORE than others! The “one man-one vote” principle that we were taught in elementary and high school is not actually true!

you’re pushing an argument that has no merit. we live in a republic. that’s all. we have an electoral college. the election is determined, has always been determined, by who wins the most electoral votes. it’s not complicated. you vote. i vote. lots of people vote. and the one who wins the electoral college, wins the election.

This nation does not claim to be a democracy (only some uninformed people do that). The United States of America is a REPUBLIC. A little proof please, showing verification of three million disenfranchised voters.

My argument is with the present unfair and unequal system. ALL votes should carry equal weight.

Michael Buley

it’s only unfair if you don’t like the outcome, is what it sounds like to me. a democracy — as you’re suggesting — is the very thing that founders did NOT want. a definition that might help (yes, I googled it; I’m not brilliant on these things, though I understand it): The key difference between a democracy and a republic lies in the limits placed on government by the law, which has implications for minority rights. Both forms of government tend to use a representational system — i.e., citizens vote to elect politicians to represent their interests and form the government. In a republic, a constitution or charter of rights protects certain inalienable rights that cannot be taken away by the government, even if it has been elected by a majority of voters. In a “pure democracy,” the majority is not restrained in this way and can impose its will on the minority.

If you want democratic voting, go to a country that has no ‘states.’ Each state in the U.S. is part of a bigger piece. Your representatives, in each state, represent the people in those states. All of this is set up for a reason — reasons you may not like. But this is how the United States elections for President are conducted. State elections for state senators? You alone in your state get to make that call. For the big prize, the Presidency? We’re a republic, not one big conglomerate. We are the United States … of America. Not one big America. Each state has its say.

So, Charles, maybe those more than three million, “all-wise” voters in Los Angeles County and NYC who voted for Hillary should decide the presidency from now on? Why even have nationwide elections. What a waste of time and money. Let’s just let LAC and NYC decide who our next commander-in-chief will be. Maybe it will be Jerry Brown or DeBlasio next go-around. Hooray for the destruction of America, nit-lib.

It’s nice to see you admit that your vote is worth more and more important than the vote of others! You have an air of extreme superiority!

Well, Chuck Jr., it seems that’s the “folly” of those who invented the Electoral College. Their wisdom has kept one or two states from ruling/running this republic, the rest of the states be damned.
