In Israel, Trump says “There’s a great feeling for peace throughout the Middle East”

If Trump thinks that he will succeed in bringing peace between Israel and the “Palestinians” where every President before him has failed, he is delusional. There will be no peace as long as the “Palestinians” believe in jihad and Islamic Jew-hatred, which are both in the Quran. Israel can only survive via military and cultural strength. Trump must be brought to realize that.

“Shalom! Trump lands in Israel in pursuit of elusive peace deal and vows to make the Middle East a place where children can ‘grow up free from terrorism and violence,'” by David Martosko, Dailymail.com, May 22, 2017:

Story continues below advertisement

Donald Trump landed in Israel late on Monday morning in advance of a whirlwind two-day visit to Jerusalem and the West Bank.

He arrived from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Air Force One – flying direct, as no other planes are permitted to do – following a 48-hour lovefest with leaders from dozens of Arab nations.

The second leg of Trump’s nine-day excursion will put a spotlight on his vaunted efforts to bring about peace between Israelis and Palestinians – a prospect that the billionaire businessman has called the ‘ultimate deal.’

He said alongside Israeli President Reuven Rivlin in a Jerusalem photo-op that even challenges like a belligerent Iran with nuclear ambitions can be an ‘opportunity’ as Tehran’s saber-rattling ‘has brought many other parts of the Middle East toward Israel.’

‘You have a great opportunity right now,’ Trump told him. ‘There’s a great feeling for peace throughout the Middle East. I think people have just had enough. They’ve had enough of the bloodshed and the killing.’

The president will face tough questions, though, from an Israeli government that had been aligned with him during his campaign – even after pledging upon his arrival that he would ‘reaffirm the unbreakable bond between the United States and the state of Israel.’

‘The people of Israel are excited by your arrival – and have great expectations,’ Rivlin told him during an arrival ceremony on the tarmac at Ben Gurion International Airport.

‘The world needs a strong United States. The Middle East needs a strong United States. Israel needs a strong United States,’ Rivlin said, each crescendo outdoing the last.

‘And may I say, the United States needs a strong Israel.’

Monday’s arrival couldn’t have been more different from Saturday’s spectacle in Riyadh, in one major respect: The uniformed Israeli Defense Forces soldiers included many women who held machine guns next to their skirts.

In Saudi Arabia, the only females visible on the airport tarmac were two small girls holding bouquets and a single U.S. Secret Service agent.

Cultural schisms aside, Trump warmed to the Saudis over the weekend, praising their hospitality and assuring the Arab world in a landmark speech that despite his past advocacy for a ‘ban’ on Muslims, America is not in a terror war with all of Islam.

That hasn’t sat universally well with Israelis who see Islamist theocracies as existential threats.

But Prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu clung Monday to Trump’s anti-terror message.

‘Yesterday in Saudi Arabia you delivered a forceful speech of clarity and conviction,’ he said. ‘You called on all nations to drive out terrorists and extremists. … For 69 years Israel has been doing precisely that.’

He thanked Trump for the ‘powerful expression of your friendship to Israel’ that his trip represents.

And he made what, for him, has become an ordinary but plaintive entreaty toward Palestinians.

‘Israel’s hand is extended in peace to all our neighbors,’ he said, but only in the services of ‘a genuine and durable one in which the Jewish state is recognized, security remains in Israel’s hands and the conflict ends once and for all.’

Trump has become adept at playing to Netanyahu’s lifelong tensions, the same ingrained historical fears of a repeated Holocaust that preoccupy Israel to the point where its national anthem – played Monday and sung by everyone on the tarmac except the Trumps – is the only such song on earth written in a minor key.

On Monday he promised Israelis that he would work toward ‘a future where the nations of the region are at peace and all of our children can grow – and grow up strong, and grow up free from terrorism and violence.’

And Trump has, since taking office, made a 180-degree turn away from his campaign position that Jews should continue to build settlements in the contested West Bank region….

From the article: “If Trump thinks that he will succeed in bringing peace between Israel and the “Palestinians” where every President before him has failed, he is delusional. There will be no genuine peace in the Middle East or anywhere else until the Prince of peace, Yeshua HaMachiach, returns in power and great glory after a coming period of judgment (70th week of Daniel, time of Jacob’s trouble, great Tribulation). There is a false peace coming and Mr. Trump will not bring this about. Nor will Mr. Netanyahu or any Muslim leader. Isaiah 9:6-7.

Daniel’s 70th week??? Look for the year of 2040 or year 5800 of the Hebrew calendar. That equals 116 Jubilees which in turn is 70 plus 46. Forty six being the number of Gods Temple!!! It will be the start…or the end not sure…

Who’s wasting time? If you are waiting for the Lord’s imminent return, when He comes, you won’t find out who the Man of Sin is. You will be gone and so let those left behind wrestle with the mess.

Well now, ‘pears to be a discrepancy. My first post did not say Jesus is coming this year. Any day now is any day. Feast of Trumpets is one excellent possibility.

When you speak of Christ’s return – are you referring to a time when the church is suddenly removed, or to His visible, physical return in Revelation 19?

I see you are somewhat up on this prophecy stuff. My thinking is when the sixth seal is opened. My take on it is that we will be protected while the rest of the earth is being destroyed and much of mankind along with it. Some will suffer through part of it and others will suffer through all of it. It all depends on how quickly you decide to repent I suppose when the Trumpets and Bowls are being dished out. Look, the end of the age will end 735,000 days after Christ died on the cross but Daniel’s 70th week takes place just before that I do believe. Now there are lots of various possibilities which could change this timeline up to a maximum of 7 years. However, this is the way I see it. It just depends what biblical verses you decide to put the emphasis on!!!
I have studied this for many years and know more than most. My theory is that after the 6th seal takes place everything after that occurs takes 70,000 days which will lead up to the year 6000 of the Hebrew calendar in 2240. When it says time, times and one half a time it is referring to a period of 35,000 days each. Then the Millennium begins. God has a predetermined timeline based on His and our genetic makeup. It would totally amaze you if you knew all of what I have figure out in Genesis 1. Have a good day sir.

Preaching and teaching of prophecy is avoided in most churches in the West. Replacing sound doctrine with touchy-feely theology – that saves no one, sends countless undiscerning to hell and ignores one-third of the Bible, which is prophecy – has become the norm in the structured mausoleums.

My preference is take God at His Word. The Holy Spirit, greatest teacher there ever was, leads one into all truth if we, as free moral agents, permit Him.

Scripture begins with Genesis 1:1. Deny this verse and the rest of Scripture is meaningless.

Not sure exactly what you mean, but I do not think I am bound for hell because of how I interpret the bible and God’s Word. Your lack of understanding from what I have stated does not make it touchy feely. It only shows your complete ignorance and lack of critical thinking capabilities when it comes to understanding of how beautiful the Word of God is!!! Have a great day

You blew a fuse where not needed …at no time did I state or imply you are in the exclusive clubs of touchy-feely or bound for hell. Critical thinking requires careful examination, not a response accomplishing nothing constructive … time to replace the fuse or call an electrician.

Now … are you aware there is apostasy in the Church in the last days, and can you cite one or two supporting verses supporting your contention? Hint: II Timothy 4:3-4.

Beside – I am too slow a driver to offend anyone … the Word of God is quick, powerful and as your correctly pointed out … beautiful: Hebrews 4:12.

Idiotic comment made, of course, without a scintilla of support and that flies in the face of all Israel has done to establish peaceful relations with other nations. When natural disasters strike, Israel is often the first to send relief teams. What Arab nations sends diddly squat?

Do you really believe the moronic propaganda you mouth? Yeah, right, if there were no Israel, 1350 years of Sunni/Shia bloodshed would cease!

Israel murders women and children by the hundreds. Israel commits war crimes. Israel systematically violates fundamental human rights. All are well documented and easily found with a simple internet search.

Israel murders women and children by the hundreds.

What murders are you referring to?

Ok, I will take you on. That is simply a vicious lie. However, Arabs do exactly that. I can only wonder why, in your apparent mindless hatred, you turn reality around.

True, women and children die in the wars that Hamas (among others) imposes on Israel. Israel goes to considerable lengths to avoid civilian casualties, even to the extent of warning people when buildings they are in are going to be bombed because they contain rockets aimed at killing Israelis.

Contrast that with the thoroughgoing efforts of the likes of Hamas to murder as many Israelis as they can, and to glorify in the slaughter.

You, sir, are a pathetic liar. You ought to be ashamed of yourself, but your ilk lacks the basic honesty to experience shame simply because they lie about other people.

Nobody has to take my word for it. It’s all well documented. And it’s not that Hamas isn’t bad. It’s that Israelis are just as bad as Hamas.

Where is it “documented?” Kindly show your documentation.

Not only does Israel go to great lengths to avoid civilian casualties, they place the lives of their own soldiers at risk to do so. That simply is not the hallmark of an army that seeks to murder non-combatants.

You have made extreme claims without bother to offer a scintilla of evidence or even rationale to back up your claims. I don’t know if you are here as a troll, or are simply some sort of useful idiot, or if you are so pathetically misinformed as you show yourself to be.

Suffice it is to say, Israel does not murder civilians, although civilians do die in the wars that Arabs force on Israel. It is curious that so many people try to project the behavior of others, such as Moslems with their constant drumbeat to murder, onto Israel and Jews.

Allow me to point out that “searching the internet” on matters of the Middle East- Israel in particular- is very prone toward confirmation bias. It takes a certain maturity of mind- which many people here who “support Israel” or “agree with Pamela” do not possess to winnow out the wheat from the chaff.

Just for example- I was almost waiting for you to cite the Goldstone Commission Report, which did claim that Israel bombed civilians during a war with Hamas. I note that Goldstone himself disassociated himself with the conclusions his own commission had reached. Partly, Israel, having decided it was up against a kangaroo court, elected not to cooperate with the Goldstone Commission. Essentially, there is nothing Israel could do, other than commit collective suicide, to satisfy the UN.

I do note that, despite your mendacious claims about Israel, you have done nothing to justify your statements (other than suggest people “search the internet”). In other words, you came here not to defend a position so much as to proclaim “truth” that you show no interest or ability in defending.

Do you think you have made any kind of insightful response to my comments? No, you have not: in fact, you’ve shown yourself to have an a wholly undiscerning intellect that is not interested in seeking the truth.

But we do agree the “truth is there”. However, with so many conflicting perspective, it takes a bit of a discerning mind to find it. You have shown no inclination toward discernment- instead, a rather mindless polemics, that refuses to respond to challenges, but that simply dodges and weaves, is more up your alley.

Look no one is expecting a miracle before he leaves tomorrow. What I see is reconciliation with Israel’s neighbors and this is the C-change. Egypt and Jordan do have working relations with Israel and Israelis do drive, in the own cars to Aman for great Humus & Falafel. There is serious talk of building a railway from Saudi Arabia through Israel to her Mediterranean ports.

I would much rather have this than go through 1973 all over again. Also the Saudis want cooperation with Israel against Iran, the real enemy with Syria and Hizbollah. Hamas is also the real poison in the region.

Well of course there is a great feeling for “peace” in the middle east. It is common knowledge that the largest part of the population is muslim, which is known far and wide as “the religion of peace”. Now, to clarity “peace” firstly islam is built on lies, categorized into six forms for proper use, islam also uses its own definition of words “peace” meaning everyone is a muslim, to attain peace, with everyone being a muslim, it will be necessary to murder all, non peaceful, meaning non muslim people. Now, using the islamic definition of the word “peace” the middle east is the most “peaceful” part of the world.

Notice that in all of President Trump’s remarks he is isolating the guilty parties. He did so with Iran in his speech in Riyadh and now he is pulling the same strategy on the PA in relation to Israel concerning the peace process. Maybe I stand mostly alone in this but he makes me even prouder to be a patriotic American. In a baseball analogy, concentrate on all the home runs he is hitting on this trip instead of all the foul balls being knocked about by the maggot media in DC.
