Burning down the house.

Ailes, O’Reilly, now Shine. The left-leaning Murdoch boys are burning their house down.

Story continues below advertisement

Here’s hoping that Roger Ailes and his team are working on bringing another conservative network to the airwaves after his non-compete clause expires. There is a great opportunity for a right-of-center news channel. It seems inevitable. And so we wait the second coming of a conservative network, where the work of my colleagues and I will have a home.

Fox News co-president Bill Shine resigns amid network turmoil

By Hadas Gold, Politico, May 2, 2017:

Adding yet another chapter to the ongoing changes at Fox News, network co-president Bill Shine has resigned from his post, the network announced on Monday.

Shine, who was named co-president after the ouster of long-time Fox News chief Roger Ailes last summer, has been seen by many as the main anchor and connection to the news organization that Ailes built.

Shine’s exit is expected to fuel the speculation within the network that a bigger housecleaning is coming, as owner Rupert Murdoch cedes more power to his two sons, who were widely believed to have been behind the ouster of longtime host Bill O’Reilly among sexual harassment allegations.

“Sadly, Bill Shine resigned today. I know Bill was respected and liked by everybody at Fox news. We will all miss him,” Rupert Murdoch wrote in a memo to staff obtained by POLITICO. “Suzanne Scott becomes President, Programming and Jay Wallace President News. Fox News continues to break both viewing and revenue records, for which I thank you all. I am sure we can do even better.”

Scott, who has been with Fox News since 1996, becomes one of the highest ranked women in Fox News’ history, alongside recently appointed CFO Amy Listerman, whose first day was Monday.

“Suzanne and Jay are recognized industry leaders,” Murdoch said. “They have both played a large part in assembling the deepest bench of talented broadcasters and journalists. They will lead FOX News to an even more successful future.”

Jack Abernethy, who was also elevated in the wake of Ailes’ departure, will keep his position as co-president of Fox News and CEO of Fox Television Stations.

In a separate statement, Murdoch called Monday a “significant day for all at Fox News.”

“Bill has played a huge role in building Fox News to its present position as the nation’s biggest and most important cable channel in the history of the industry,” he said. “His contribution to our channel and our country will resonate for many years.”

The news of Shine’s ousting was first reported by New York Magazine, and comes just two weeks after O’Reilly was let go from the network following a New York Times report that he and the network paid millions of dollars to women who accused the evening host of sexual harassment. That report led to public outcry, protests outside of Fox News and advertisers fleeing his show. Shine was named in some lawsuits for not taking action or trying to cover up allegations of sexual harassment. He has denied wrongdoing.

According to Mark Levin, Shine did not resign. He was forced to leave by Tweedle-Dumb and Tweedle-Dee. A serious blow to Fox, nonetheless.

Why do you lie? Post a copy of your earnings that you alone earned and then maybe I’ll consider being a liar.

Brock, get your facts straight. The claim that Saudi Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal is “co-owner” of Fox News is also misleading, though less a matter of Photoshop and
more one stemming from the slightly complex realm of investments and
holdings in relation to large media corporations.

The term “co-owner”
generally refers to a person who holds a 50% share in a business entity,
or at least a share comparable to that of the other largest
stakeholders, but Al-Waleed does not qualify on either count. According to news accounts, Prince Al-Waleed’s investment firm, Kingdom Holding Company,
holds a 6.6% stake in 21st Century Fox, the parent corporation of the
Fox News Group (which includes the Fox News Channel and the Fox Business
Network) — a sizable chunk, but far from a controlling or co-controlling interest in the company.

If such minority institutional holdings qualify as “co-ownership,” then Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal would also have to be considered a “co-owner” of business entities such as Twitter and Citigroup.

When Fox shows liberal leanings they will be ignored.

As far as I’m concerned, Fox has been DEAD for a while as a true Conservative voice. This started BEFORE OBAMA left, as the channel hired a number of former Obama mouthpieces from his administration. Far too many OBAMA CONTRIBUTORS are now on the payroll of Fox. That MUST be by design of the MURDOCH KIDS. They will DESTROY the station with their LIBTARD leanings. I wish “One America News” would bulk up their daytime program. They are much stronger in Prime Time.

Who cares. He’ll get a huge payout, the people replacing him will get enormous salary increases and Fox news will still be just as unwatchable as it was before. And will continue to present ‘polished’ news, unlike what we see on Pamelageller.com

One of the great thing s about a free market economy is that there is always room for one more player. Unlike a professional sports team, the castoffs at Fox plus those who defect to join them, will coalesce into a formidable and competitive force in the media marketplace.

It’s truly pathetic that Murdoch is permitting his snowflake sons to absolutely ruin what was a great news station.

Rupert save FNC and throw your liberal sons out!! You are losing your viewership.

I hope either a new network or cable show has a program similar to Fox, but made up of true Republicans, Conservatives and Independents. Don’t forget to include Michael Savage.
