San Francisco Police Officer Fired for Private ‘Anti-Islam’ Texts

A police officer in San Francisco was sent packing — fired — after making what employers determined were inappropriate messages against Muslims.

A San Francisco police officer was fired for criticizing Islam, privately, to coworkers.

The content of the messages haven’t been released so it’s difficult to independently verify that claim. But the officer was reportedly fired last month after sending the deemed inappropriate text messages to other officers.

Story continues below advertisement

The firing only made the public media waves now, as the San Francisco Examiner reported (thanks to Jihad Watch).

“A San Francisco police officer who allegedly texted anti-Muslim messages to other officers was fired last month by the San Francisco Police Commission at the recommendation of Chief William Scott, the San Francisco Examiner has learned.

“The revelation comes during a time of reforms that, in part, sprang out of a series of biased policing scandals, including two instances in which groups of officers got caught sending racist or bigoted text messages.

“The first and most scandalous text messages were sent or received by a group of officers in 2011 and 2012, but were not revealed until several years later in a federal police corruption trial in 2015. The second incident emerged in 2016 and involved officers in the Sunset District sending messages to one another.

“In this latest case, the officer sent the message or messages on a private phone sometime between 2014 and 2015, according to sources with knowledge of the incident but who did not want their names published….

“In the latest case, the officer allegedly attempted to right his wrong by volunteering at an Islamic center and educate himself about the faith he had allegedly disparaged, according to a lawyer close to the case….

“But Tony Brass, who represented Liu and has represented officers for the POA in the past, said the text messages were sent from one private phone to another. He also noted the officer’s effort to educate himself about Islam.

“But none of that seemed to please the police chief, said Brass.

“‘It seems like it’s a zero-tolerance situation now,’ said Brass. ‘This case seems to stand for the proposition that once the Police Department has concluded that you expressed some biased view there’s no fixing it … you’re just done.'”

Zero tolerance is right. How about zero tolerance for crimes committed by illegals — or for terrorists forming cells on American soils, under the very eyes of those who are supposed to protect us?

That’d be a good thing to have zero tolerance policy for, it seems. But a police officer who messages some offensive thoughts to fellow officers — and then hiding those so deemed offensive thoughts from the public? Not so much a concern to the average American.

Remain vigilant America, locked and loaded! Liberal Pussification only coddles instead of cures.

Sure sounds like Donald Trump’s ideas are the better ideas every day. He wants to stop muslims from coming here without a very close vetting process. And I have to 1000% agree with him too.

Seriously folks – We need to take our country back. Our jobs are being taken away. Our healthcare is too expensive. Mine is $600/month now (AND RISING!). My car insurance is still $25 per month (from Insurance Panda), but who knows when our increasingly socialist government will come in and muddle that up? Things are getting more and more expensive as it is. Can we really afford to support the world’s refugees?

We are certainly asking for serious problems allowing Muslims to come here without any care or clearance . How stupid can we get?

Hilary and Obama’s uncaring demands are not the proper way we should be doing things. How many more bombs need to go off and people injured and/or killed do we have to have before intelligent ideas are taken.

Democrats do not care about native born working Americans and how much the stupidity of government costs them. I wrote several letters to one of my Senators (Bob Casey) in Penn. about the need to reform Obamacare, that my premiums have nearly tripled and the coverage is worse. Casey wrote back essentially saying he didn’t give a rats butt about how much I had to pay because 20 million formerly uninsured Americans are now insured. When I got on his website to respond I seen a blurb how this alleged “moderate” democrat took an emergency flight from Washington to Philadelphia on a weekend to ensure 3 Syrian (I presume Muslims)
were not held up at the airport. I hope every Pennsylvanian knows this story and hope it helps boot this commie Dem back to Scranton.

This is tantamount to a thought crime. They would have to show he was abusive to muslims .. the burden of proof is on the accusers that he would not perform as trained with regards to muslims

I agree. However, as you know, the thought crime police require no evidence. San Francisco is a leftist septic tank anyway. He’d be better off moving on to a different city.

But on the other hand he should not lose his position nor his job. This was not such ab egregious act to require either, perhaps a months suspension or a desk job, he should fight it.

I hate to admit it: I stopped going to a Starbucks, because Somali muslims were hanging out every day – I wear a mezuzah, and I did not want any confrontations – I am not a biggot, but I feel more comfortable not being around Muslims –

It depends. Public employee must not be seen as biased. but unless we know what the statement was it difficult to decide if its justified action.

Criticising jihadi criminal is ok, but criticing all muslims as terrorists will not be ok for public govt employee.

Police should keep his personal beliefs to himself and when opportunity comes to arrest a jihadi he
should enjoy it !

Just like Iceland police do with no apologies http://tinyurl.com/jqbvanr

You’re talking about bureaucrats inventing de facto “laws” to suit THEIR personal agendas. The fact is that America is in a position where we cannot afford to keep our personal opinions private about the clear and present danger of Islam.

All Muslims who believe in the majority of the doctrines of Islam MUST be criticized. It is a right and duty to criticize sharia, intolerance, taqiyya, treatment of women and gays and the terrorist methodology integral to Islam and consequently integral in the belief systems of Muslims generally. If Muslims don’t believe in these things, they shouldn’t identify themselves with Islam.

If the firing came only on the back side of a corruption trial…I suspect that funny business was the real reason for termination and not the texts per se. There is definitely more to this story.

Any attacks against Gay people in San Fran by Muslims, will immidiately be blamed on the Policies of the Trump Administration – Its very interesting: We are in a serious culture war – Yesterday, TYT (The Young Turks) posted a vid, entitiled, KKK’s favorite Attorney, Jeff Sessions – Of course, Jeff Sessions prosecuted the Clan members, and ultimately bankrupted the Klan in Alabama by means ofr a 7 million dollar law suit – But, it concerns me that TYT, and 100 other so-called Journalistic sources, constantly report an inverted reality – and basically Lie. Not good/

The leftists and their promoters have literally programmed their thoughts into not seeing reality. I saw someone at the office last week watching cnn and talking about bannon’s position change. She obviously didn’t like him and said the gop promoted him with right wing news. Fine I told her but who promotes the rest of the news and she said each organization promotes itself implying they are objective. She simply does not see the left’s collusion with most of the media despite much information about it. Yet she sees biased reporting with the right wing news groups in a double standard of selective perception.. The right may be biased at time as well but i have never seen the left quite this bad with the extent and blatant acts of lies and spins and obstruction.

No more so-called “free speech” for employees of most public agencies. Not even on private time from private devices. No more truth being stated about Islam. God, its great being retired and unshackled from forces that eliminate and criminalize our rights, even our alleged right to speak the truth about the anti-civilization ideology of Islam.

Zero tolerance for the cops who send private messages but, all the tolerance in the world, in that same city, for illegals who commit murder. Despicable. If the messages in question were sent by and to private phones, then someone within the department had to report him. What happened to the code of silence

Good point. Those cities that define themselves as self-proclaimed sancuary cities, will have many lawsuits filed against them, if any legal person is subjected to vicious crimes committed by illegal persons. A new field of Law and Civil Law Suits in every City – Should be interesting to see the outcomes
