New York Times Outed for Anti-Trump, Pro-Obama Bias With White House Pics

The New York Times was caught in a blatant act of bias after blasting forth a photo on its newspaper Twitter feed that suggested the turnout for the New England Patriots’ Super Bowl payoff of a White House visit with President Donald Trump was far less attended than in 2015, when the same team went to a meet and greet with Barack Obama.

The photo lacked context, critics said.

Here’s how the Conservative TreeHouse put it:

“The New York Times attempted to take a cheap ideological shot at President Donald Trump by comparing organization attendance by the New England Patriots football team between President Obama and President Trump.

“However, the cheap shot attempt backfired against the New York Times when the New England Patriots organization pointed out they were not comparing accurate attendance.

“In the 2015 picture the support staff were on the stairs, in the 2017 picture the staff were seated in the audience.”

But pictures — at least full context pictures — tell the story so much better.

This is what the New York Times blasted on Twitter:

And now, the Patriots’ clubhouse response:

And this is how the New England team captured the moment, while thanking Trump for his hospitality — and you can see, the crowd size is quite different from what the New York Times reported:

Fake news?

Trump thinks so.

UPDATE:

In the aftermath of the heavy criticism, the New York Times editor, Jason Stallman, who was responsible for sending out the White House photographs wrote this in an email to the Washington Post: “Bad tweet by me. Terrible tweet. I wish I could say it’s complicated, but no, this one is pretty straightforward: I’m an idiot. It was my idea, it was my execution, it was my blunder. I made a decision in about four minutes that clearly warranted much more time. One we learned more, we tried to fix everything as much as possible, as swiftly as possible and as transparently as possible. Of course, at that point the damage was done. I just needed to own it.”

Fascinating to see this exposed; not too long ago, that which the NYT attempted to misrepresent would have gone uncontested, and accepted as viable reporting…

To me, once a NY Times reader on the NY subway system, reading the Times vociferously while being pressed like a sardine, was, nevertheless, an important moment in my day. I could manipulate that newspaper with aplomb, folding it so I could read almost every word. Today, my disappointment with what the newspaper has become is very sad. They and the media like them cannot seem to ever accept that they are primarily in the business or reporting the News, not their opinion. Opinion belongs on the editorial pages, and I have no problem with anyone expressing any opinion along as the opinion is not an attempt to promote or cause violent or dangerous reaction. They used to report the factual events (The News) without slanting the facts towards any opinion they held on the meaning of the facts. They and the media like them have lost that ability by virtue of the opinions of the staff that are now reporting the news. We owe our President great respect. As Americans we must do everything possible to show our respect and reasonable support for the elected President. Although we can all carry different opinions concerning the management policies of the President, unless that management is constitutionally inappropriate, we owe the duty to support and not try to actively undermine the President. Because this media has lost the ability to report the news without personal bias, everyday I find them rolling out commentary that finds a negative to throw at our President, and I am sick of that conduct. The sooner all Americans recognize what has become of our ultra liberal, uncompromising media, the better for this nation. This is no longer a situation of purchasing an instrument to read the factual News, and the editorial thoughts conveyed, for the purpose of considering different opinions, but has become what to me appears to be a vendetta by those who are still unable to accept Trump’s electoral victory, and his conservative bent, an are simply being disrespectful as they USE their interpretation of the News to attack our leader, refusing to even give him the chance to lead this nation to a better place.

I hate to have to tell you this Dennis, but you’re dealing with Communists that were trained in Universities all over our Nation, and NOW our children are being “Muslimized!”….This is the “fruits” of modern University training…BUT! Dig deeper, and you’ll find that the “ROOTS” of that training is in the Bible…”the LOVE of $$$, i$ the ROOT of ALL EVIL!” [I Tim.6:10]…The POWERFUL “monied” Cast, are the CONTROLLERS of our lives!

I agree that it is all about retaining power. We need to push for term limits and for all elected officials to be precluded from any work that might involve lobbying, etc. for at least a number of years after they leave office. I believe that amendment belongs in every constitution, state and federal. When our forefathers created our Constitution they expected those elected to leave after a shortened term and return to their farm, estate or business life, not to make the job of an elected official a full time and permanent job. Today, that is what it has become, and retention of the power that goes with the elected official has become the goal of the elected officials, to the detriment of what is good for the country. Right now we see what the power hungry Congress and Senate are not doing, as they continually fail to legislate, while they only fight to retain their seats of power. It is a disgrace and we need to end this problem accordingly.

It amazes me that an “editor” did this. Surely, before publishing anything, they would ask themselves a number of questions to ensure some kind of integrity. Surely, also, journalists more than anyone realise how misleading a snapshot can be. It’s akin to an extract from text which we all understand can change the message. It’s difficult to believe this was simply reckless. As the journo readily admitted, the damage is already done. Mission quite possibly accomplished.

Across the board over 90% of the press was negative toward President Trump before he was sworn in.
That is because they are owned by the same ogliarches that own the DC establishment politicians.
We’ve known the politicians were all lies for decades.
We hoped for a little truth from the 4th estate.
The America media has blown any credibility they had for the next several decades.
Nobody’s buying their lies because we know they are bought & paid for.
If we didn’t bird cage liner and fish wrap all the newspapers could shut down.comment image
Here’s a newsflash for the democrats & the media, the Russians are not your enemy,

Two demon-rats walk in to a bar and a customer asks the bartender pointing to the two arrivals, “How many demon-rats does it take to skew a poll? The bartender answers, “Ask the one on the left.”

It is truly amazing that when I was in school the NY Times was required reading … both for news and content. Now, any school that still has credibility left will require the NY Times to be read for what it is not … a newspaper with even an ounce of truth. True journalism schools will point out that instead of news, the Times has become nothing but a collection of editorials pretending to be news stories. The one thing that many people will still find value in is this: due to its volume … it makes for great bottom stop in bird cages … you know where the “crap” in its pages will find a perfect complement to the crap falling from above.

Once more the nyts shows why their times is about an alternate world of leftist propaganda. Dictators would be proud of the orwellian show. Many uninformed democraps suck it up as fuel to slam the right. It’s amazing today’s exposure is disregarded and how they attempt to still get away with fake news. Critical thinking and never underestimating the deceivers is of utmost importance.
