Terror at French election – two arrested for planning ‘violent attack on Francois Fillon’
TWO Frenchmen have been arrested in the southern port city of Marseille on Tuesday morning for planning an “imminent and violent attack” ahead of the first round of the presidential election, with fears they were targeting candidate Francois Fillon.

The pair, who police said were seized in the southern port city a few moments apart from each other, were radicalised French nationals aged 24 and 30, the Interior minister, Matthias Fekl, said.
Mr Fekl told a news conference: “These two radicalised men, born in 1987 and 1993, of French nationality, intended to commit in the very short-term – by that I mean in the coming days – an attack on French soil.”
He aded that “a definite attack had been headed off.”
It’s thought that their target was scandal-hit presidential hopeful Francois Fillon, according to reports by AFP and Liberation newspaper.
His security officers were warned on Friday of “proven risks” on the right-wing candidate.
The Ministry of Interior “strengthened security in Montpellier”, where the candidate held a meeting on Friday, the source told AFP, referring to the presence of “snipers” at its public meetings.
There were also fears over Mr. Fillon’s meeting in Nice on Monday.

According to police, the two terror suspects were preparing an “imminent” attack.They were arrested by the DGSI in the course of a flagrant investigation opened in Paris on 12 April for criminal criminal terrorist association and breach of arms legislation in connection with a terrorist enterprise.Guns and bomb materials were found in a raid, a source close to the inquiry told AFP.
The two men appeared to have turned to radical Islam during a term in prison.
A search of a rented apartment was also underway.
Mr Fekl said security surrounding the elections and the candidates had been strengthened.

Once incarcerated, don’t release Muslims from prison unless they can prove they are not a threat to public safety.

If the French poosies don’t vote for Marine Le Pen then they deserve the butt-f**kin’ they are going to get from the EU and from Mooslums.
I hope HE had something to do with Trump’s win. I think HE may have.

There is an easy solution to those being “radicalized” by islam in prison. Keep islam out of prisons, jail is not supposed to be a place where prisoners can do what they feel like, it is supposed to be punishment, make it so.
I have thought for some time the muslim prisoners should be segregated from the non-muslim prisoners, but what would be the best way to do it? Violent crimes definitely call for prison time instead of immediate deportation. A well deserved bullet to the head would never be allowed, so do you have separate prisons just for muslims or what???
No separate nothing for muslims or anyone else. 1/2 hour on Sunday only for religions services under close preauthorized conditions. Jail is not supposed to be a tool of islamic or any other proselytization , it is supposed to be punishment, islam does not override the rights of society to have criminals suitably punished for their crimes. Same diet for every one as well, no special diets for muslims or anyone else either.
We’re on the same page, I totally agree with what you’ve said. It just seems there ought be a way to keep the muslims from spreading their vile religion to others.
It is hard, there is no reason to facilitate the spread of islam using the prison system to proselytize islam, which is happening by giving muslims special treatment that is not given to others.

The refugee program administered by the globalist led UN needs to limit refugees to being visitors not permanent residents or citizens of the country that takes them in. When the situation in their home country improves sufficiently they need to return home. Any offspring of these “refugees” must have citizenship from their parents home country.
