Muslim teen repeated #BlackLivesMatter 100 times on his Stanford application — and got in

Mic and its hard-left allies are thrilled by this, but in reality it is a stunning indictment of Stanford University and further indication of how our nation’s universities are no longer centers for intellectual exploration, but only radioactive deserts of leftist recruitment and indoctrination. If Ziad Ahmed, with exactly the same grades and other records, had worked for Donald Trump and gotten his picture taken with him, and had written #BlueLivesMatter in support of the police on his Stanford application, would he have gotten in? Of course not.

No rational person can succeed in so toxic a marketplace.

The age of evil.

“Meet the Muslim teen who repeated #BlackLivesMatter on his Stanford application and got in,” by Sarah A. Harvard, Mic, April 3, 2017:

When Ziad Ahmed was asked “What matters to you, and why?” on his Stanford University application, only one thing came to mind: #BlackLivesMatter.

So for his answer, Ahmed — who is a senior at Princeton Day School in Princeton, New Jersey — wrote #BlackLivesMatter exactly 100 times. The risky decision paid off. On Friday, Ahmed received his acceptance letter from Stanford.

“I was actually stunned when I opened the update and saw that I was admitted,” Ahmed said in an email. “I didn’t think I would get admitted to Stanford at all, but it’s quite refreshing to see that they view my unapologetic activism as an asset rather than a liability.”

On Saturday, Ahmed posted his answer and acceptance letter on Twitter with the hashtag #BlackLivesMatter. The tweet now has over 700 retweets and over 2,000 likes. It has also been retweeted by members of Campaign Zero, a police reform campaign, and some of its founders, Brittany Packnett and Samuel Sinyangwe.

“My unapologetic progressivism is a central part of my identity, and I wanted that to be represented adequately in my application,” Ahmed said.

Ahmed said his Islamic faith and his commitment to justice is intertwined. He believes he wouldn’t be practicing his religion correctly if he turned a blind eye to the injustices the black community faces on a daily basis.

“To me, to be Muslim is to be a BLM ally, and I honestly can’t imagine it being any other way for me,” Ahmed said. “Furthermore, it’s critical to realize that one-fourth to one-third of the Muslim community in America are black … and to separate justice for Muslims from justices for the black community is to erase the realities of the plurality of our community.”…

Perhaps it’s no surprise, though, that Stanford wanted Ahmed among its class of 2021. The Bangladeshi-American teen has already been making impressive waves in his activism work. At just 18 years old, Ahmed has already been invited to the White House Iftar dinner and recognized as an Muslim-American change-maker under the Obama administration. In 2016, he interned and worked for Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton‘s presidential campaign after leading Martin O’Malley’s youth presidential campaign. In November 2015, Ahmed gave a TedxTalk in Panama City, Panama, discussing the perils and impact of stereotypes as a young Muslim teen.

“I’m thrilled to share my #TEDx talk that I had the opportunity to give in Panama City, Panama entitled “Our Age Does Limit Our Activism” — link is in bio — would mean the world if you checked it out + shared”Source: Ziad Ahmed/Instagram

He serves as the founder and president of Redefy, a teen organization of about 300 students around the world working collaboratively to defy stereotypes, and co-founded his own youth-centered consulting firm called JÜV Consulting.

Ahmed has an entrepreneurial spirit and often times that requires taking a lot of risks. It’s why he answered the essay question with a simple statement on behalf of black lives — because he wanted to attend a university that would empower and further his activism rather than stand in the way….

But one thing Ahmed is sure about is the reason he purposefully didn’t further explain the #BlackLivesMatter hashtag.

“The insistence on an explanation is inherently dehumanizing,” Ahmed said. “Black lives have been explicitly and implicitly told they don’t matter for centuries, and as a society — it is our responsibility to scream that black lives matter because it is not to say that all lives do not matter, but it is to say that black lives have been attacked for so long, and that we must empower through language, perspective, and action.”…

Well, colleges and universities abandoned a previous role of sound higher education decades ago, so … when you pay your tuition and fees, remember you are paying to the business of higher indoctrination, not sound instruction.

given that it is always Americans and Europeans that are the only ones making scientific advances, they will find other places which will then be the new centers of learning. Pity to leave our jewels to these filthy people – they will destroy it, as they destroy everything

I once heard Chris Patton claim that other than Oxford and Cambridge, Europe had no universities of the stature of the elite American universities.

Now, admittedly, that was before the recent wave of immigration into Europe. I’m sure the formerly great German universities will be immeasurably culturally enriched in coming years.

there’s a grain of truth. Within the 20 best universities, 14 are American, 6 European, of these 6, 4 are in the UK (depending on the ranking method).
Europe has many very clever and educated people. But those in power are idiots. It’s now a dumbed-down, hippy, kumba-ya culture. About the same as the Liberals here in the US, although not so extreme.
With the continuing immigration, clever Europeans will leave or congregate in some places shielding themselves from Muslims, other immigrants and fellow dumb Europeans. I fear it is happening in the US as well, although diluting the intelligence of Americans will take a longer time because universities are private.

I admired the way my university propagandized islum and demonized Israel — I want my money back and they can take their degree and use it as a suppository.

How nice and idealistic, definitely a candidate for future therapy when he finds out that the make believe world of the condescending patronization of blacks stops when he is forced to face a reality where black lives don’t matter, nor will they ever. But, he does make an acceptable sidekick for white democrats suckering in the natural servitude of adulating negroes.

If Angola really did outlaw islum, I find them more courageous and intelligent than any other country on the face of the earth today — incl. Israel.

I find this so irritating. I know a young girl who attends a magnet school and has received a total of one ‘B’ in her high school career. Unlike the privileged sorts at Princeton Day School, this girl worked in her parents’ restaurant three days a week throughout since 8th grade (Ok, her parents sold the restaurant three years ago, but she continued to work there). Her SAT’s totaled about 2390. Maybe a little shy on “extracirricular activities”, but she did go out for one sport.

Stanford turned her down.

Oh, might I add, she is the “wrong kind” of immigrant- Stanford has plenty of “her kind”. I consider it not merely irritating, but absolutely corrupt.

When society promotes people based not on intelligence, talent, grades and hard work but rather gender, race, religion and sexual orientation, society is doomed to go down the tubes. Gee I want to be operated on by a guy who got into university based on him being non white and saying #blacklivesmatter 100 times on his application form NOT. What ever happened to picking for college admission the best and brightest regardless of who they are?

Stanford has now joined the grub group of seedy half abandoned shopping malls with storefront universities catering to low cost, no prerequisite, no standards every one is a winner. The value of a degree from stanford is now the equivalent of a doctor islamic studies from the university of pakistan. Do their diplomas come on classic tractor feed printer paper that the perforated track can be torn off to make them suitable for framing?

Wow. This piece of garbage must have gotten his “training” at a young age. As a manchurion candidate, he’s said all the right things, for someone in his position. He’s learned his script well. Now, it’s off to Stanford, that off the charts leftist proving ground where he will refine his “skills.” Stay tuned for this progressive to appear again soon. Not as a high achieving student but, as a “martyr” probably blowing up some market place, or mowing people down in a street somewhere. All the more reason, he should be dealt with immediately.

Now that Stanford University lapped up this stupidity with clapping hands, this moron can go on to start making all kinds of demands concerning the way things are done at the University. He will no doubt have to be given good grades, halal food, a prayer room in each building, and permission to molest unbelievers. And if he does commit some atrocity, the University will blame itself for not doing enough. I could puke over this article.
