A couple of Muslims living in Waterford City were arrested for suspected terrorism activity.
The man and woman, both in their 20s, were detained and taken into custody as part on an ongoing intelligence operation in the city.

The man hails from Ireland; the woman, from the United Kingdom.
RTE reports (thanks to Jihad Watch):
“They were arrested on suspicion of having committed offences under the Criminal Justice Terrorist Offences Act, 2005.
“It is understood they are being held on suspicion of facilitating the transfer of money and information in relation to alleged international terrorist activity.”
RTE also reported the arrests come on the heels of an 18-month investigation by local and national Garda units, who worked with counter-terrorism officials in the United Kingdom.

The republic is another European state which owes it’s security to the British security services, thank heavens someone is on the ball. That this terrible stain of Islam should now be found on Europe’s north western fringe is regrettable for it was there that Christianity was protected and survived after the collapse of the western classical world.
Ireland and places like it have a unique place in history, it is the last home of true North West European people with their distinctive colouring and beautiful looks, Grace Kelly was and remains a wonderful example.
