An ethics group that bills itself as a watchdog of the people is filing two lawsuits against the Justice Department in federal court, claiming the agency is wrongfully withholding information about President Donald Trump’s claimed Trump Tower surveillance and about the commander-in-chief’s supposed ties to Russia.
The left just won’t let it go. Note to Democrats: You lost. Hillary Clinton lost.

But American Oversight, the leftist hit group disguised as a watchdog for the little guy, is taking up court documents to slam the White House further.
From the Hill:
“American Oversight plans to file two lawsuits Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
“‘Nearly 100 days into President Trump’s term, there are more questions than answers about the president and his associates’ contacts with Russia. It’s time for the administration to come clean with the American people,’ the group’s executive director Austin Evers said in a news release.
“As congressional inquiries seem to be getting us nowhere, American Oversight is suing the government for information.”
The first lawsuit the group is filing is for warrant applications and court orders related to surveillance of Trump Tower.“‘It’s ludicrous for the Justice Department to claim it can’t confirm or deny the existence of records given that the president has declared they exist and the FBI director has denied it,’ Evers said. ‘Well, which is it? The American people have a right to the truth.'”
Where was American Oversight during the Benghazi hearings on Capitol Hill, aimed at finding out what then-Secretary of State Clinton knew, and when?
Again, from the Hill:
“The second suit is to obtain information about White House chief of staff Reince Priebus’ “attempt to persuade the bureau to rebut media reports about the investigation into the Trump campaign,” the group said.
“It is also seeking information related the vetting form on which the group says Attorney General Jeff Sessions ‘should have disclosed any contacts with foreign government officials.'”

Do not underestimate these snakes. They are way better at “gubmint” than the right. Once they get on to their home fields, like the courts and media, they can and will do damage.

Good points. A lot of positions are still unfilled, and there are a lot of holdovers from the previous administration, of questionable loyalty.
Also, the case has to withstand vicious attack from MSM and the opposition.
Another aspect is that once they have nailed subordinates, they will try to secretly get them to turn state’s evidence, or serve as informants, gathering evidence against higher-ups. It is almost more terrifying to know you might be being investigated by those guys, bloodhounds sniffing down your every trail, never knowing who you can trust, or what dirt they might dig up from your past.
One practically has to be a lawyer to navigate American politics, legal issues at every turn that need legal advice. The Progressives in California are constantly violating the laws, yet they rarely get prosecuted, as they are in charge. But at some point those illegal acts may come back to haunt them, if the opposition takes power.
The campaign finance laws are quite problematic, rich special interests loaded with cash trying to corrupt you at every point. That guy in Georgia can probably live the rest of his life on what he got so far, if he -plays his cards right 🙂

“Could take years, if ever” is testament to lack of conviction and spine among Republicans. Liberals are trying to destroy this presidency and yet no one seems to have the moral fibre to get truly angry and destroy those trying to destroy this presidency. Republicans need to get vicious. Couldn’t agree more. The Republican establishment is gutless, but America as a whole has degenerated into a miserable, mean-spirited, vindictive and self-destructive society. It is astounding to watch. Thank goodness I travelled all over when it was still a civil, tolerant and welcoming society.
