The White House on Tuesday was placed on lockdown as investigators scoured the grounds and searched the contents of a package deemed suspicious.
Secret Service agents found the package near White House grounds. But they didn’t release much more information, except to say they were investigating.
A tweet sent out from the agency mid-morning made clear nearby roads were closed to travelers.

President Donald Trump’s administration has been one of the most viciously protested in recent decades.
From Black Lives Matter to anti-Trumpers, to even those in the Democratic Party serving in high offices, calls to impeach Trump — or harm him or his family — have grown increasingly louder.
Hollywood celebrities, rappers and wannabes have jumped on the bandwagon. Snoop Dogg, for instance, cut a video showing a gun pointed at a Trump head, assassination style.
The mainstream media, meanwhile, frequently paints Trump as the cause of these calls for violence and upset, saying that if the president wasn’t so misogynist, racist, bigoted and so forth, people wouldn’t be so upset — a seeming shrug of shoulders that paints the victim as deserving of the attacks.
On top of that, the calls for violence against the president have led to some shaky situations.
From the Hill:
“The lockdown comes after a series of security breaches, including a man who allegedly jumped the fence earlier this month. The man reportedly spent around 15 minutes on the White House grounds before being apprehended.
“Another woman was arrested last week on her third attempt to hop over the fence.”

Please take a moment to consider this. Now, more than ever, people are reading Geller Report for news they won't get anywhere else. But advertising revenues have all but disappeared. Google Adsense is the online advertising monopoly and they have banned us. Social media giants like Facebook and Twitter have blocked and shadow-banned our accounts. But we won't put up a paywall. Because never has the free world needed independent journalism more.
Everyone who reads our reporting knows the Geller Report covers the news the media won't. We cannot do our ground-breaking report without your support. We must continue to report on the global jihad and the left's war on freedom. Our readers’ contributions make that possible.
Geller Report's independent, investigative journalism takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we believe our work is critical in the fight for freedom and because it is your fight, too.
