“Asian” is British mediaspeak for Muslim. That witness makes this fairly clear to be a jihad attack.

A WITNESS of the Westminster attack has described the terror as she saw a knifeman running towards Parliament as three shots were fired in the London attack.
Shocked witnesses said they saw bodies lying on the ground on Westminster Bridge near Parliament.
One witness said she saw an Asian man carrying an eight-inch knife heading towards the building.
Jayne Wilkinson said: “We were taking photos of Big Ben and we saw all the people running towards us, and then there was an Asian guy in about his 40s carrying a knife about seven or eight inches long.
“And then there were three shots fired, and then we crossed the road and looked over. The man was on the floor with blood.
“He had a lightweight jacket on, dark trousers and a shirt.
“He was running through those gates, towards Parliament, and the police were chasing him.”
Her partner David Turner added: “There was a stampede of people running out.
“You saw the people and you thought ‘what the hell is going on’.”
After the incident, Radoslaw Sikorski posted a video to Twitter purporting to show people lying injured in the road on Westminster Bridge.
Mr Sikorski, a senior fellow at Harvard’s Centre for European Studies, wrote: “A car on Westminster Bridge has just mowed down at least five people.”…

Exactly I am thinking the same thing ! Giving them a bad name! They at least need to say middle Asian if they want to hold onto their stupid politicaly correct form of describing Muslim terrorist.
Just like the term “youths” used as a mask for deranged teenage Muslims !

Asian isn’t “British mediaspeak for Muslim”.
Asian is universally used in the UK to mean anyone from the Indian sub-continent (which incidentally includes 800 million Indian Hindus), as they are the dominant Asian group in the UK.
Everyone uses that term, not just the media, in the same way that Asian in the US means China and SE Asia (which is just a wrong).
This isn’t some kind of media newspeak. This is just a difference between US and UK English.

Let’s not jump to conclusions here, folks. Doesn’t anyone remember those Toyotas that seemed have a mind of their own and just take off without any reason? Was the car a Toyota? Bear in mind, if Toyota had this problem, other manufacturers might too.
Moreover, “just mowed down at least five people” is highly prejudicial. More neutral wording is called regarding this unfortunate incident. I suggest “careened into five people, possibly as a result of engine malfunction.” We don’t want to inflame the situation at now, do we?

Oh my goodness your right I am certain it was just a mechanical foul up that plunged into five people!
Yes we must ban deadly Toyotas we can’t have this happening every day. I am sure the guy with the knife was just a butcher bringing his tool to work but he went into the wrong building. A big misunderstanding!

The Brits- as well the Swedes, the French, and Germans- were most solicitous in terms of understanding in terms of the “root of the problem” and the social/historical origins of Islamic terror when it was primarily directed at Israelis.
I wonder if that same search for understanding will apply now that terror is a “normal part of life” in London, Malmo, Paris, and Berlin. So far, I admit, the Europeans have shown considerable “understanding” of the plight of terrorists and have been notably restrained in their reactions. I am confident that Churchill, Gustavas Adophus the Whatever, Clemenceau, and Bismarck would not have shown such a degree of “understanding” and restraint. It shows how much Europe has evolved.
As an American, permit me to note that Washington, Tippiecanoe (and Tyler too), Grant (or Lee), Roosevelt (T or F), and Truman wouldn’t have had much understanding either. As for George Patton …. aaaaah.

We are so beyond the point of trying to understand anything . How many innocents need to die for the wake up call ! The message is reiterated over añd over but it’s like western countries have gone death dumb and blind . Once awhile we get some politicians that emerge from their little cocoons and realize oh hey maybe something’s not quite right. It’s ridiculous playing these games with these 7th century thugs.
I for one wake up each day thinking the world went CV insane while I slept ! Lol …?

He never got into the building and was shot in the yard outside having been stopped by a police officer whom he stabbed. A little more care in reports and headlines would be good.
