The Traitor-In-Chief worked up until the very last minute to undermine America and endanger Americans. This is a good step, and there is a great deal more that must be done.

“Trump Reverses Gun Regulation Implemented on Obama’s Last Day,” by Stephen Gutowski, Washington Free Beacon, March 5, 2017:
The Trump administration on Thursday reversed a gun regulation that was implemented on the very last day of the Obama administration.
Newly sworn-in Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke withdrew an order banning the use of lead ammunition and fishing tackle on certain federal lands issued by the previous head of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service on Jan. 19, 2017.
“It’s time to put ammunition back where it belongs; in the hands of hunters,” Zinke said in a release.
ADVERTISINGThe order had come under criticism from gun groups for its sweeping impact, speedy implementation, and lack of input from industry groups and hunters.
“This was a reckless, unilateral overreach that would have devastated the sportsmen’s community,” Chris Cox, head of the National Rifle Association’s lobbying arm, said in a statement. “The Obama administration failed to consult with state fish and wildlife agencies or national angling and hunting organizations in issuing this order. This was not a decision based on sound scientific evidence—it was a last second attack on traditional ammunition and our hunting heritage.”
Former U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service director Dan Ashe issued the directive banning lead ammunition because, he maintained, the widely used ammunition is dangerous to animals. “Exposure to lead ammunition and fishing tackle has resulted in harmful effects to fish and wildlife species,” he said in the order.
Gun groups disputed Ashe’s contention and said there was no evidence backing up his claim. “The fact is that traditional ammunition does not pose a significant population-level risk for wildlife,” Cox said….

This kind of behavior is exactly why Trump was elected in the first place. People are tired of this.
Us “deplorables” had to live under 8 years of Obama’s tyranny. We watched our freedoms gradually being taken away. We saw the gun grabs coming. Conservative speakers were not being allowed on college campuses. Trump rally attendees being physically beaten…
Thanks to Obama, we have expensive health insurance forced on all of us. Even auto insurance is forced on us (thank god for $25/month Insurance Panda coverage). What’s next? Mandatory phone insurance? We have taxes on top of taxes and our freedoms are slowly disappearing.
If you wanted Hillary in office, you should’ve turned out in higher numbers. Period. You can protest all you want, doesn’t change the outcome.

“Lead ammunition is dangerous to animals”
I know this is serious but I grin every time I read that argument. I mean ammo wouldn’t be very useful if it wasn’t dangerous to animals, delicious animals.
The left realized some time ago that if they couldn’t outlaw guns then outlawing ammo was the next best thing. The laws for buying ammo in CA become absolutely Draconian come 2018.

Irresponsible decision as thousands of Swans suffer and die from lead poisoning. Ducks, Geese, and many other species of birds are known to ingest while searching for grit and subsequently die. Poisoning is caused by lead from fishing weights, shotgun pellets (shot), or contaminated vegetation or sediments associated with mining and smelting wastes. When a shotgun is fired 200 to over 400 pellets fall to the ground and available to feeding birds.
A recent estimate showed that over one million wildfowl in North America died each year from picking up lead shot, mistaking it for grain or for gravel. An investigation of swan deaths in England revealed that half may have been from lead-poisoning as determined from the correlation of blood-lead to the amount of lead shot in their gizzards.

Do people in England do a lot of shooting?
If someone can come up with an acceptable alternative to lead, which does not damage firearms, and is not expensive, then firearms owners will take a look at it. If enough want it, the ammo manufacturer’s will phase out lead on their own. The periodic chart has a lot of metals, time for chemists to get busy finding a replacement if that’s what they want.

You do not have to be very bright to find them. Who knows why you could not, plenty of people will help you for sure.
12 gauge shotgun lead pellets in a shell (shot size 5 = 170) (shot size 6 = 225) (shot size 7.5 = 350) ( shot size 8 = 410)

J’s information on pellet count is correct. I’m more used to 00 buck and I just didn’t realize there were that many pellets is bird loads.

Any gun regulation is illegal. They passed and then “unpassed” an illegal doctrine.
The 2nd Amendment only pertains to the right of creation of the people to a MILITIA to be well-armed and regulated. That is all.
There shouldn’t be any other gun regulation!! So, unless those gun regulations pertain to the Miltia as the 2nd Amendment proper, both the sodomite and Trump created and then “uncreated” have no bearing on anybody.
Perhaps it was done for self-importance or to give them something to do. I don’t know…..

Former U.S. Fish and Wildlife Director, Dan Ashe, should have his pension cut in half. “Exposure to lead ammunition and fishing tackle has resulted in harmful effects to fish and wildlife species,” Really? How. Where is one scientific document that concludes that. It’s astonishing that people llike Mr. Ashe can make outrageous statements, and not be held to account for them. His comments should have been disregarded at the outset and he should have been shown the door.

This stupid regulation flies in the face of decades of scientific research and bullet technology. Lead is both a soft and heavy metal making it ideal material to use. The weight allows a bullet to have some knock down power and the softness allows for expansion on contact, facilitating a quick termination shot just as desired and intended. Forget environmental damage. At the range where I am a member, a crew comes in on a regular basis with heavy machinery and mines all the spent projectiles out of the berms, a practice common everywhere.

They can’t get your guns so they go after ammo, I remember when bird hunters were mandated to change from lead shot to steel shot shotgun shells, that was one of the last common sense ammunition laws, replacing loads.
