When a Muslim woman in California was honor murdered by her husband, Reza Aslan blamed me. Reza Aslan’s directed ugly rape fantasies at me: “time to make some hate babies Pam.” Reza Aslan (more here and here) is the exemplar of the deceptive Islamic supremacist who is widely taken as a “moderate” promoted and admired by leftwing authoritarians (here).
So what did CNN do? They gave him a show. In an effort to bring CNN back from the brink of failing ratings, the cable network has announced the debut of several new shows, including one hosted by religious writer Reza Aslan… In a press release, CNN states that “Aslan will immerse himself into one of the world’s most fascinating faith-based groups to experience life as a true believer.”

That’s how corrupt CNN has become. CNN is featuring academia’s Anwar Awlaki hosting a show on dawah — Reza Aslan. His last show smeared Hindus depicting them as cannibals and showing them eating human brains. CNN scrubs and whitewashes he daily acts of holy war by jihadis across the world but advances a vile anti-Hindu narrative.
Where is the show educating viewers of the centuries long war Muslims have waged against Hindus in India?
Protests Continue Against CNN’s TV Show; Hinduphobia alleged.

San Francisco Bay Area, USA: Hundreds of Hindu-Americans in different cities in the United States of America, including San Francisco Bay Area, Houston, New York, Atlanta and Washington DC, led protest marches against a recent TV show on CNN which the Hindus believe, perpetuates Hinduphobia.
“At a time when a number of incidents of hate crimes and racial slurs have been reported across the country against Indians and Hindus, it is sad that CNN has allowed Hinduphobia to be perpetuated through this show.” said Mani Keeran of the Coalition Against Hinduphobia, a group of Hindu and Interfaith community organizations leading the protests. He demanded an unconditional apology from both Reza Aslan and the CNN.
The show ‘Believer’, which CNN calls a “spiritual adventure series” is hosted by a controversial TV host named Reza Aslan. The show has drawn criticism for its inaccuracies and dehumanizing depiction of Hinduism and India and has been castigated for, among many things, resorting to sensationalism and shock journalism, calling the holy Hindu city of Varanasi as “the city of dead”, mischaracterizing and essentializing Hinduism into the practices of a fringe sect and calling the river Ganga “a giant toilet.”
Dr Vamsee Juluri, an Indian American professor of Media studies at the University of San Francisco called the show “reckless, racist and dangerously Anti-immigrant.” Pointing out several inaccuracies, mistranslations and mis-characterizations in the show he said “It is one saddening reality that despite having had immigrants in America for so many decades now, a major news channel like CNN still cannot do better than the old Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom sort of story when it comes to India.”
“Far from wanting to experience any spirituality within Hinduism, Reza Aslan seems to have gone to India only to confirm his Orientalist biases.“ said Chandrashekar Wagh of the Coalition Against Hinduphobia.
The protests were joined by many prominent leaders of the community as well as elected leaders. Ash Kalra, the first Hindu member of California Assembly who joined the protests at Milpitas said “The hate crimes against different communities including the Hindu-American community are based on ignorance and what CNN showed would only accentuate these crimes.” He said “the media had the responsibility of educating people about all communities and not spread ignorance.”

There must be millions of people–possibly tens of millions–who have been boycotting CNN as long as I have or you, yet it persists, unchanged, though possibly worse than the mid-90s, which is my vantage point.
Our personal, quaint boycotts don’t do anything, obviously; They accomplish nothing.

Wrongo my friend. Our personal boycotts of CNN reduce the amount it can charge it’s advertisers. As a group we have caused the shareholders of the fake news network to lose money.
Eventually, the owners will have to pay attention to the cause of their financial leaks. To wit: Jake Tapper, Don Lemon, the U-boat commander and the rest of the crew of that unpopular sinking submarine.

Fifty five years ago the nuns taught me to use double quotation marks for quotations. There was and is no hard and fast rule. It depends on the book of style one uses.

Muslims hate Hindus even more than they hate the Jews. That’s because they were not able to convert India to Islam despite repeated attempts over centuries. It’s also because they hate everybody that isn’t Muslim. So I am not surprised by Reza Aslan and his show. Am sure he knows that while Muslims carry hate, violence and bigotry wherever they go, Hindus are overwhelmingly educated, successful and peace-loving. Look at America for instance. Hindus rank the highest in terms of educational qualifications, have created more jobs than any other immigrant community, and have always lived with other Americans in harmony and peace. Trust Mr. Aslan to cast aspersions on them with his insidious taqiya deception.

As Arandas says in a comment below, Muslims find themselves hating all religions that they come in contact with as well as each other. Islam is tribalist and hate filled. But the opposition to Hinduism is serving a two fold purpose for Aslan I think. First, he is enjoying finding fault with another “religion.” Thus, he is trying to take some of the heat off the Muslims. Second, he is sending a message that there are horrible practices in Hinduism, so if one finds terrorism among Islamics, one should not forget that there are barbarities among every world religion. Thus, we in the West should not blow matters out of proportion. He forgets one thing. Almost wherever they live, the Muslim population is aggressive and acting with murderous intent toward each other to an unprecedented level, but especially towards other religions — Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, or Hinduism. Catholics are attacked in the Philippines, Christians in Nigeria, and Hindus in India (remember Mumbai? where Jews and Hindus were attacked). Churches of Coptic Christians are burned down (with people inside) in Egypt and other churches are being destroyed and the people massacred throughout the Middle East, especially in Syria and Iraq. This Reza Aslan is a terrible man. Vile is the adjective for him.

to be honest i have no issues with the cnn show because it is free speech but what i have issues with is that when it comes to islam cnn cowers and whitewashes anything which doesn’t show islam in a good light, this backlash is a result of their islamo pandering .now every group will scream ”whateverphobia” and lead to more curtailing of speech and censoring.
