Canada: Muslim owner of bread factory that employed Muslim migrants extradited to US on fraud charges

Mohsen Youssef started a real pita factory in Montreal and a fictitious one in Connecticut. He is now charged with fraud in the U.S. He has won media praise for employing Syrian migrants. It seems as if the fake U.S. pita shop was a pretext for bringing in Muslim migrants as sponsored workers.

“One of the reasons I came to Montreal,” he said, “is to be close to where the refugees are, their home base so to speak, which is the Dorval mosque.” Meanwhile, “according to documents from the United States Attorney’s office for the district of Connecticut, between 2011 and 2015, Youssef ‘designed and executed a scheme to fraudulently secure financing from various banks and other financing entities.’” What did that money go for?

“Owner of Lachine factory that employed Syrian refugees ordered extradited on fraud charges,” by Jesse Feith, Montreal Gazette, March 14, 2017 (thanks to Gisele):

Facing fraud charges in Connecticut, the owner of a Lachine bread factory praised for employing Syrian refugees last year has been ordered extradited to the United States.

Mohsen Youssef, 26, is alleged to have defrauded several banks and lenders across the state of Connecticut before moving to Quebec and opening the factory last year.

According to documents from the United States Attorney’s office for the district of Connecticut, between 2011 and 2015, Youssef “designed and executed a scheme to fraudulently secure financing from various banks and other financing entities.”

The documents allege the financing aimed to secure funding for equipment purchases for Youssef’s company, Amoun Pita (also known as Amoun Foods), which was purported to be a flourishing manufacturing business.

“In truth, while Amoun Pita existed, it did virtually no business,” the case record documents say. “Youssef procured the financing through an intricate web of misrepresentations, including fraudulent documentation and fabricated equipment vendors and deals. The actual loss totals more than $3 million.”

On one occasion, it’s alleged, Youssef provided a bank account statement showing the company had an average balance of more than $850,000 in December 2012, when its actual average balance was $94 at the time.

According to a spokesperson for the United States Attorney’s office for the district of Connecticut, Youssef was arrested last week after his extradition was ordered in January. He reportedly did not refuse extradition and could appear in federal court in Connecticut in the coming weeks. Youssef or Amoun Foods couldn’t be reached for comment on Tuesday.

Youssef’s pita bread factory in Lachine made headlines last year after hiring several newly arrived Syrian refugees.

In an interview with the Montreal Gazette last August, Youssef said he had been in Quebec for about two years after living in the United States, where he worked in the bread manufacturing sector. The factory had just been equipped with new baking equipment at the time.

Opening it was his way of giving back to the community, Youssef said.

“One of the reasons I came to Montreal is to be close to where the refugees are, their home base so to speak, which is the Dorval mosque,” he said.

Dorval mosque president Mehmet Deger had been working closely with the factory last summer to co-ordinate jobs for newly settled refugees.

Reached for comment on Tuesday, Deger said he was shocked by the news and spoke highly of Youssef.

Deger said he last spoke with him about a month ago. At the time, Youssef told him he was having problems with the bank but was still planning on starting production soon. He had recently paid a company to come in and rid the factory of a persistent mould problem, Deger said.

By that point, Deger added, none of the refugees who had been hired months earlier were still employed with the company. He said Youssef had told him he no longer had enough work for them after production was postponed….

Another hit on the US economy by a foreigner who knew how to play our system including duping American banks who obviously were negligent in doing their homework. I’m beginning to believe that many don’t even try for fear of being labeled Islamophobic! This guy didn’t even have a business and yet managed to bilk banks and other financial industries out of a lot of money! It’s incredible how so many institutions that are so important to the function of this country have become totally incompetent and so easy to dupe!

you have to wonder. maybe next time I apply for a credit card or a loan, I should just say I’m Mohammad Mohammad, and see if they ask for anything else. Maybe that’s good enough for whatever I want.

I agree, and what’s more many are so fearful of being labeled Islamophobic that they’d probably look the other way.

The lesson is – don’t lend unsecured money to a Muslim. Unless the banks have established Shariah banking and received accreditation from Mohamed, the banks will lose. Islam forbids any Muslim to pay interest therefore his signatures are taqiyya or kitman. They are a lie.

Muslims are able to use credit cards but must pay the balance off in full with every statement or they will incur interest. At minimum, they would be subject to severe Islamist punishment.

Another fine example of a lame stream media creation of a fictitious muslim entrepreneur fleecing the naive and gullible multiculturalists that have not realized that anything to to with islam or muslims is a lie.

He never meant to run a business, just wanted to grab whatever he can.
Send us your deviants, criminals, rapists and murderers and we’ll make sure they are well looked after seems to be new motto of the western governments.

Now, due to all the stress that he suffered through his action he will most likely claim bankruptcy and that because his good intentions have failed he has suffered mental breakdown and needs free housing and benefits. He’ll probably get it too.

I think I read somewhere recently that in Sweden — maybe a different European country; not sure there’s much difference in what happens — about 1% of ‘refugee immigrants’ — i.e., Muslims — are actually working. You want to bankrupt a country, sure, let ’em in. Pay ’em to be here. Pay ’em to hate the country that puts bread on their table. But of course. Per the Koran, the dhimmis owe them because they are so far superior to us …. hard to believe all of this is happening.

Hey Pamela, this sounds like a very enterprising young man. What a dealer. Besides ‘creative’ financing, do you have another criticism of him? Is he producing bread in Quebec or not?

As they teach in Harvard Business School, to steal a car is grand larceny, to steal $100 million is finance.

$3M, eh? That’s a lot of……dough. Wonder where it all went. If the government were smart, they’d keep that stupid pita factory going. That way, let all the refugees come to them and right into the trap. The deportation trap. What easier way to get rid of them than to have them flocking to you.

So, what was the bank that loaned this guy millions based on a fraudulent representation of assets and other collateral? I live in CT and I want to know which bank it is so I can avoid doing business with them.

What kind of bank loans money based on a fraudulent loan application when he only had $94 in an account that supposedly had nearly a million?

Whatever bank that is, they need to fire that commercial loan officer.

He just wanted to close to his ‘homies,’ and as he put it, ‘their home base so to speak, the Dorval mosque.’ Ah yes. Central planning headquarters for what steps to take next against the infidels …. Read an article just now that said that France has 2,400 mosques … more mosques built in the last 30 years, than churches in the century before that. So they own France … Canada, what do you think? How would you like to have a few thousand mosques scattered around? Ready for a new identity? Scary, scary stuff going on …

Canadian here 🙂 I agree with your analogy of this situation. We Canadians now have a secret muslim in office. Our PM has been seen in many mosques. Sound familiar? Obama filled that role for 8 years in the US. I truly believe it is part of a larger coup. The globalists are trying to destabilize many countries all around the world. Their ultimate goal is to create chaos then offer their solution of one world governemnt, one world religion. We certainly appear to be speedily heading in that direction.

Yes, we had a secret / out in the open Muslim. all records of his past hidden. birth certificate? will always be debated whether he was even American. all part of destroying this country through tolerance and diversity. yes, the goal being one world government, one ‘religion’ that worships … what? submission, i would guess. we seem very close to actual religious wars breaking out in civilized countries as those civilized among us, who value freedom, try to stop Islam. I have studied a lot of conspiracy theories over the years, and was very slow to wake up to this one. red herrings everywhere. we’re directed to focus our attention on the Mexican border … hell, Mexicans are nothing compared to Islam. and all the while we look south, from the east they come. Trump tries to stop it, and he is resisted at every turn. Most Americans have no clue what is happening. Can’t we all just get along? I finally see that, no, we cannot all just get along, because Islam doesn’t allow any getting along with anyone. submit, or off with your heads. and unfortunately, that is literal.

Muslims can pray all they want, no big deal. Just don’t try to force their standards and customs on me. I am NOT going to change Canada and my Canadian lifestyle and customs just because some Muslim feels offended. That ass hat Trudeau did, allowing masks at the Citizenship Ceremony, and he has made the RCMP and a number of city police forces sharia compliant. The jerk now wants to ban free speech, making it a criminal offense if anyone says anything about Islam.

Google Sections 318, 319 and 320 of the Criminal Code of Canada and see how it applies directly to Islam and their book of hate, the Koran.

What are Sharia compliant police forces? One concession at a time it happens. I hope the people of Canada are speaking up. The stuff happening here in the states is crazy. Prayer rooms at high schools for Muslims only … it goes on and on. I hope more people are waking up to what Islam really is about. If you don’t check out the site now, you might find jihadwatch.org informative, disturbing, eye-opening, alarming. Stuff from around the world that’s happening eery day. Good luck in Canada. We need it down here — that, and citizens who speak up and resist. Fortunately we have a President who seems to be very awake. Lots of resistance at every turn, of course.

Shariah compliant cops. It starts with the headbag that declares women are not equal. The pinks are rcmp and the skinny one is Edmonton police. No Muslim male will ever be confronted by the pink Muslimas because Muslim women are forbidden to have authority over Muslim males.

Amoun Foods has a variety of web pages but the one common thread is they all originate with the phony corporation itself. There is no third party at all to take an objective look.

I also live in CT. We are an already over burdened state rife with fraud. We also have a Governor who seems the cure is to just dig deeper into the pockets of the now dwindling tax payer base. The Muslims tend to copy each other so I am sure there is more of this. WHEN is our Government going to tart cracking down on this rampant fraud? I too, would like to know which banks are party to this.
