Where were the Women’s Marchers speaking out about this? Nowhere, of course. Yet wife-beating is sanctioned, even encouraged in the Quran. Respect it. The sexual violence, in public, emanates from this dehumanization and degradation of women.
The mandate to beat one’s wife is in the Qur’an:

“‘93% of Pakistani women experience sexual violence,'” by Mudaser Kazi, Express Tribune, March 8, 2017:
Pakistan is among those countries where 70% women and girls experience physical or sexual violence in their lifetime by their intimate partners and 93% women experience some form of sexual violence in public places in their lifetime.
This was stated by founder of Madadgaar National Helpline 1098 and national commissioner for children, Zia Ahmed Awan, while quoting the statistics of international organisations during a press conference at their office on Tuesday.
Awan lauded, in tribute to the International Women Day which is celebrated on March 8 every year, the courage of the 8,897 women and children from across Pakistan who came forward in 2016 and fought for their rights and protection by calling, visiting or contacting Madadgaar’s helpline.
“The data recorded by our organisation is just the tip of the iceberg. Our helpline would [if there was awareness] have been flooded with calls from victims and survivors,” he stated, adding that only 10% cases of violence are being reported in Sindh and Punjab in media with even less reporting from Balochistan and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa….
“Out of the total cases reported on the helpline, the highest percentage of victims was that of women at 56%,” explained Madadgaar’s general manager Muhammad Ali Bilgrami who added that cases reported by boys were 16%, 15% by girls and 13% by men.
According to Bilgirami, 7,561 cases were reported from Sindh and the least number of cases, 306, were reported from Balochistan. Unrest, targeted killing of the legal fraternity, weak law enforcement, absence of rule of law and overall social, cultural and religious barriers stop people in Pakistan, especially women and girls, to come forward and report violence perpetrated against them, said Bilgrami.
While sharing the nature of cases reported in 2016 to Madadgaar National Helpline, Bilgrami briefed that 118 cases of child marriage, 162 of cybercrime, 14 of child abuse, 2,092 of domestic violence, 14 of forced marriage, 562 of harassment, 12 of karo-kari, 2,251 of missing children, 213 of missing women, 792 of mental torture, 5 of rape, 6 of sodomy, 10 of sexual harassment, 7 of sexual abuse and 5 cases of trafficking.

Very depressing and discouraging article. It actually made me nauseated. I no longer have desire to ask where the feminists are, and why they do not let their voices be heard, because I know they will not hear. Till it is too late. I could never have imagined that such situations, culture existed.
Anything would be better than this. A Supernova is preferable to this. This of which you print is worse than death. It is a living death. Those pictures are too much for one’s senses to bear, too much that one cannot understand. Oh my God.

Yes would like to see these women who March in protest do so for reasons such as this. How can anyone ignore this? I have seen so many videos from mid East where the women is abused or killed yet it seems hardly any attention is paid.
Someone I know actually gave the argument “So what there is domestic violence in America and it was once acceptable for a man to beat his wife and face no punishment “.
The thing is we have made so much progress in America we do arrest those guilty of such abuses.
We cant point the finger backward in time and say oh well we were once OK with it so we shouldn’t criticize mid eastern ways of dealing with their families! Seriously could not believe this is how a person thinks.
Bringing people from the middle East to America and allowing their culture to repress ours back to hundreds of years ago in the past is insane. Those who ignore this need a wake up call.

You forgot when four muzzies raped a woman on a bus with a tire iron or shot a young girl in the head with an AK-47 because she wanted to learn to read. You have 1400 years of subhuman muslim insanity. That is about 62 generations of rape, beheadings, intolerance and ignorance being passed off as a POS “religion”, which it is not.
They come to America and what do they do? They (male & female) demand sharia law to be installed, to continue the insanity. Only a complete elimination of islam will relieve these people of their plight.

You are correct, but it ain’t gonna happen. The Canadian prime minister justin turdeeew is set to bring sharia law into Canada. He is a commie muslim himself. The new law which is now being voted on in the House of Commons will make it illegal to speak badly of muslims. They will be a protected species. And no one will be able to say anything bad of the dictator commie muslim prime minister. He intends to rule for life. Even though his IQ is less than a sock puppet. Isn’t it unbelievable that in this day and age there are people embracing this in Canada!!!!
