Billionaire George Soros has ties to more than 50 ‘partners’ of the Women’s March on Washington

In the pre-dawn darkness of today’s presidential inauguration day, I faced a choice, as a lifelong liberal feminist who voted for Donald Trump for president: lace up my pink Nike sneakers to step forward and take the DC Metro into the nation’s capital for the inauguration of America’s new president, or wait and go tomorrow to the after-party, dubbed the “Women’s March on Washington”?
The Guardian has touted the “Women’s March on Washington” as a “spontaneous” action for women’s rights. Another liberal media outlet, Vox, talks about the “huge, spontaneous groundswell” behind the march. On its website, organizers of the march are promoting their work as “a grassroots effort” with “independent” organizers. Even my local yoga studio, Beloved Yoga, is renting a bus and offering seats for $35. The march’s manifesto says magnificently, “The Rise of the Woman = The Rise of the Nation.”
It’s an idea that I, a liberal feminist, would embrace. But I know — and most of America knows — that the organizers of the march haven’t put into their manifesto: the march really isn’t a “women’s march.” It’s a march for women who are anti-Trump.
As someone who voted for Trump, I don’t feel welcome, nor do many other women who reject the liberal identity-politics that is the core underpinnings of the march, so far, making white women feel unwelcome, nixing women who oppose abortion and hijacking the agenda.
To understand the march better, I stayed up through the nights this week, studying the funding, politics and talking points of the some 403 groups that are “partners” of the march. Is this a non-partisan “Women’s March”?
Roy Speckhardt, executive director of the American Humanist Association, a march “partner,” told me his organization was “nonpartisan” but has “many concerns about the incoming Trump administration that include what we see as a misogynist approach to women.” Nick Fish, national program director of the American Atheists, another march partner, told me, “This is not a ‘partisan’ event.” Dennis Wiley, pastor of Covenant Baptist United Church of Christ, another march “partner,” returned my call and said, “This is not a partisan march.”
Really? UnitedWomen.org, another partner, features videos with the hashtags #ImWithHer, #DemsInPhily and #ThanksObama. Following the money, I poured through documents of billionaire George Soros and his Open Society philanthropy, because I wondered: What is the link between one of Hillary Clinton’s largest donors and the “Women’s March”?
I found out: plenty.
By my draft research, which I’m opening up for crowd-sourcing on GoogleDocs, Soros has funded, or has close relationships with, at least 56 of the march’s “partners,” including “key partners” Planned Parenthood, which opposes Trump’s anti-abortion policy, and the National Resource Defense Council, which opposes Trump’s environmental policies. The other Soros ties with “Women’s March” organizations include the partisan MoveOn.org (which was fiercely pro-Clinton), the National Action Network (which has a former executive director lauded by Obama senior advisor Valerie Jarrett as “a leader of tomorrow” as a march co-chair and another official as “the head of logistics”). Other Soros grantees who are “partners” in the march are the American Civil Liberties Union, Center for Constitutional Rights, Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch. March organizers and the organizations identified here haven’t yet returned queries for comment.
On the issues I care about as a Muslim, the “Women’s March,” unfortunately, has taken a stand on the side of partisan politics that has obfuscated the issues of Islamic extremism over the eight years of the Obama administration. “Women’s March” partners include the Council on American-Islamic Relations, which has not only deflected on issues of Islamic extremism post-9/11, but opposes Muslim reforms that would allow women to be prayer leaders and pray in the front of mosques, without wearing headscarves as symbols of chastity. Partners also include the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), which wrongly designated Maajid Nawaz, a Muslim reformer, an “anti-Muslim extremist” in a biased report released before the election. The SPLC confirmed to me that Soros funded its “anti-Muslim extremists” report targeting Nawaz. (Ironically, CAIR also opposes abortions, but its leader still has a key speaking role.)
Another Soros grantee and march “partner” is the Arab-American Association of New York, whose executive director, Linda Sarsour, is a march co-chair. When I co-wrote a piece, arguing that Muslim women don’t have to wear headscarves as a symbol of “modesty,” she attacked the coauthor and me as “fringe.”
Earlier, at least 33 of the 100 “women of color,” who initially protested the Trump election in street protests, worked at organizations that receive Soros funding, in part for “black-brown” activism. Of course, Soros is an “ideological philanthropist,” whose interests align with many of these groups, but he is also a significant political donor. In Davos, he told reporters that Trump is a “would-be dictator.”
A spokeswoman for Soros’s Open Society Foundations, said in a statement, “There have been many false reports about George Soros and the Open Society Foundations funding protests in the wake of the U.S. presidential elections. There is no truth to these reports.” She added, “We support a wide range of organizations — including those that support women and minorities who have historically been denied equal rights. Many of whom are concerned about what policy changes may lie ahead. We are proud of their work. We of course support the right of all Americans to peaceably assemble and petition their government—a vital, and constitutionally safeguarded, pillar of a functioning democracy.”
Much like post-election protests, which included a sign, “Kill Trump,” were not “spontaneous,” as reported by some media outlets, the “Women’s March” is an extension of strategic identity politics that has so fractured America today, from campuses to communities. On the left or the right, it’s wrong. But, with the inauguration, we know the politics. With the march, “women” have been appropriated for a clearly anti-Trump day. When I shared my thoughts with her, my yoga studio owner said it was “sad” the march’s organizers masked their politics. “I want love for everyone,” she said.
The left’s fierce identity politics and its failure on Islamic extremism lost my vote this past election, and so, as the dawn’s first light breaks through the darkness of the morning as I write, I make my decision: I’ll lace up my pink Nikes and head to the inauguration, skipping the “Women’s March” that doesn’t have a place for women like me.

I suspect way too much money was being made. Now with the long game disrupted by the possible collapse of the EU and the growing dissension over the UN the forces of evil are in disarray. Add in the loss of the USA to common sense and the globalists are in trouble. I did not know of the Clinton/Soros family connection. I think the Clintons may indeed be about out of political capitol enough to save Soros if our government charged him. I have never noticed Congress being concerned about his various crimes, but most of them answer to the “Deep State.”

By the way – Notice that the article is by a muslim. It pains me greatly to say this, but it does not seem very likely that we will be able to prevent islam from succeeding in the west. Islam had won the day it was granted legal status in our society. The reason is our own mentality, that has already made muslims a part of our society. What does it tell you when those that are the enemy, are not seen as enemies, but as one of us, by our own people? Soros, and all the globalists do have access to very cutting edge life extension technology. In fact, there are wonderful nutraceuticals available even now at reasonable cost. That is one reason Big Pharma is constantly pushing to our government to remove our legal access to various supplements. It is one of those constant battlegrounds that need attention, and few seem to be aware of it. That said, I don’t think Soros is real long for this world. But he has already declared war on the Trump administration. He will use economic manipulation to hurt America and hurt Trump’s efforts. The battle has just begun.

You are so right about these useless fluff courses. Since they are not required for real jobs in high-demand fields, government scholarships, grants, and loans should not be awarded for these “electives.” If students really want to enroll in these courses, they can gather a job.
This seems to be just one of the reasons many college graduates cannot find a job in their area of study. Of course, our “guest worker visas” are yet another reason.

Much of this academic fluff is the result of money being used to buy status. It is nauseating to hear some parents discuss what their putrid spawn are studying in University. If it wasn’t for people with more money than brains endowing these lunatic institutions with funds to hire semi retarded egotists who, being control freaks, use their possession as “professor” to ram stupidity down the throats of gullible students who would never get into a real university program as they are dim bulbs at best. Once the government reduces funding to universities, they will be using whatever they can get as donations to maintain the real programs. Eventually these rather stupid students will realize that going heavily into debit to buy a piece of paper that is of no value to anyone ins a waste of money, especially when mummsy and daddsy display the piece puff paper to there prestigious friends, and get laughed at. That was an excellent blog exposing how these women have been coopted by Soros & Co. However, I am left conflicted, because I agree with these women on the supposed core issue that got hijacked: defending women’s reproductive rights against Trump and the misogynistic platform of the Republican Party to deny those rights. The most disconcerting thing is the threat to both defund Planned Parenthood and overturn Roe vs Wade.
I wish Trump all the success in the world in his quest to “eliminate radical Islam”, and “bringing back the jobs”, but on the issue of women’s rights, I stand 100% in solidarity with those women who were protesting specifically to defend women’s reproductive rights.
As far as George Soros goes, there should be a separate rally specifically to expose and denounce him and all he stands for. This is what I want to see: a million people march against George Soros, against the tyranny of the elite, against the death of the Nation, against open borders, against the free movement of peoples, against the rise of uncritical multiculturalism and tolerance leading cultural marxism and moral relativism, against the Islamization of America, and in favour of women’s reproductive rights.

Something to consider. What you call reproductive rights is mainly about getting abortions. In some ancient cultures sacrificing the first born child to a God was believed to improve the fortunes of people and the children to follow. Whether or not you believe a fetus is human or not you can not deny it is a living thing. Dead things do not grow. So in effect abortions are killing a living thing as a sacrifice ( something you give up ) to improve the fortune of the person having the abortion. The fact that the sacrifice is something that is not wanted at the time just makes it easier. It is a “living sacrifice” for oneself. I am for choice but let us be clear about what is being chosen and not color it with the mantle of reproductive rights.

That’s your opinion, and you have a right to it. Does that give you the right to force your opinion on others, especially a woman who might be forced to bear the child of a rapist? I don’t think so David. And it is about reproductive rights when they want to shut down Planned Parenthood who provides birth control and counselling. Double blow to eliminate both birth control and abortion services within the law as it now stands.

Ichabod, I respectfully disagree. I think your opinion and the opinion as men on this subject does matter. Yes, the female has the ultimate power in the decision however I do resent that we have seemingly been brushed aside in the debate as if we have standing only as a donor. I can speak from personal experience on this subject as a prior girlfriend had an abortion. I freely admit that at the time I was all too happy to stand by and let her do it. I can tell you now that when I think of the child that I never knew it absolutely brings me to my knees. Sometimes I imagine what he or she would look like as a grown child. I mostly imagine the child as a little girl but I do not know so sometimes I imagine the child as a little boy. If I could do one thing in my life it would be to see her or him and say I am so sorry but I can’t. I know I could not have stopped my ex girlfriend from getting the abortion but it is the fact that I was glad she did at the time that is difficult to deal with. So it was not so much the decision she made but the state of my own heart at the time she made it for which I am ashamed. I certainly do not like the person I was back then. So I concede that I am pro-choice as I defer that decision to the woman, but I wish people, men and women, would soften their hearts and try not to gloss over the fact that is a living thing with the potential to become a beautiful child and there are consequences to taking it’s life.

The oppression and abuse of women in Islam is absolute evil and must be identified as such. It is amazing to me just how subtle evil and injustice is at hiding it true face from the unsuspecting.

What about exposing themselves to children? Do they condone that because that is EXACTLY what was done. Actions are different then words so I wish they would learn that fact and grow the hell up. They are spoiled brats and I hope that someone pushes for them to be prosecuted since that’s what they deserve. Then they can spend some time in jail and see if someone attempts to grab their pussy and they can then register as a sexual offender when they are finally released. They are so lucky I wasn’t there because if they had exposed themselves to my son they would be sitting behind bars today.

nope they will voluntarily wear the hijabs- already have- in their way of thinking they are showing tolerance of religion. Or support for other women who are Muslims, who they consider an “oppressed” group based upon race or color despite muslims coming in every color and not being a race at all.
Unfortunately they don’t see the hypocrisy of slamming every other religion for being too conservative, too cruel to gays, too sexist etc. (especially Christians and Jews, replete with antiIsrael proFakestine language which when analyzed is jewhate). They ignore that islam is not just any religion – IMO not actually a religion at all but an ideology more sinister, more expansionist, and supremacist than nazis.
And they HATE TRUMP for what he said 11 years ago despite his having not actually done the crime he accused but spoke of. Hypocritically endorsing the woman who defended her husband’s actual sex crimes and harassment, called other women names in the public to protect him, and had the nerve to stand up and say we should listen to rape accusations from women, when she did the opposite Bill’s victims.

Its past time the IRS take the upper hand in this subversive employment operation. You can bet there is no payroll taxes being withheld on the part of these myriad employees. No federal taxes, no state taxes and no Soc Sec being deducted IAW the rule of law on the part of the employees nor the employer. Thus, nothing in earnings being claimed in end of year tax filing… Total disregard for the US rule of law on the part of these hyper libs and wicked leadership.

Does anyone really understand what it is these women think are being taken away from them? If one listens to Ashley Judd, whose pissed she has to pay tax on her tampons, one would think they’ve nothing of a real fight for anything as everything they are siting as an issue are already laws that protect them. Other then not forcing taxpayers to pay for abortions by giving tax free money to Planned Parenthood, I don’t see what their issues are? It’s like listening to a bunch of women who are basing their fight on speculation of what may happen or could happen, but has yet to happen yet. They have no political pull and have no standing in a rational conversation upon any given issue they complain about. That most of the marchers were given cash, t-shirts, food, hats and other novelties is just a penitence to someone like Soros. he wanted there to be a million protestors in DC before and after the inaugural. *smh. And protesting for what? When you ask them they spittle out old rhetoric from the Hillary campaign and then go on some butt hurt trad of why she didn’t win and then try to convince you that Trump is going to take the nation back to 1950’s . It’s insane, has no substance and most certainly comes from the mind of one twisted individual. Makes me embarrassed for my fellow American women who buy into this total crap. I doubt they even understand they’ve been used/are being used. Might as well be cattle for that Soros cares. Sad and pitiful is what it is.
