New York Times shills for Islamic polygamy

72

The New York Times has long been a mouthpiece for the forces of Islamic supremacism and apologists for sharia. But this article in the Times goes even farther, actively stumping for a practice that dehumanizes women and is still illegal in the United States — for now, anyway.

polygamywebsite

“A Site to Help Get Wedding Bells Ringing and Ringing and Ringing,” by Ben Hubbard, New York Times, September 20, 2016:

Story continues below advertisement

Add this twist to the panoply of websites that promise to fill the holes in your love life: Sites that are aimed at married men who want to add wives, and single women who’d be happy sharing a spouse.

[the_ad id=”81586″]

Certain that there were plenty of people in the world who’d be interested in such a service — and willing to pay for it — Azad Chaiwala, a 33-year-old British entrepreneur of Pakistani origin, created what he said were the world’s first matchmaking sites for aspiring polygamists.

He started SecondWife.com, aimed specifically at Muslims, in late 2014, followed by Polygamy.com, which is open to anyone, this year.

The sites now have tens of thousands of members, Mr. Chaiwala said. Most registered users are in Britain or the United States, even though bigamy is a crime in both countries. But some members log in from India, Pakistan, or other countries in Asia or Africa where it can be legal.

While he has no way to know how many polygamous marriages his sites may have facilitated, Mr. Chaiwala said he had received more than 100 letters from users thanking him for guiding them toward multiple-marital bliss.

Mr. Chaiwala speaks of his sites with an evangelist’s fervor, hoping to spread the idea that polygamy offers a pro-family antidote to promiscuity, prostitution, divorce and broken homes. He dismisses those who criticize polygamy as anachronistic, saying it is better than adultery or one-night stands facilitated by apps like Tinder.

“I am saying, ‘Marry two or three, and be loyal to them,’ ” he said.

Creating a profile on either site is free, but to browse profile photos, you need to upgrade to a paid membership of $20 a month or $45 for three months.

Three-quarters of the users on SecondWife.com are men, Mr. Chaiwala said, but most of the profiles on Polygamy.com are posted by women. He guesses that many women don’t want the obligation of a full-time husband, or consider it a plus that a man is already married….

berserker is implying that LEADERSHIP of feminist orgs have become silent and complicit. Women who speak up are marginalized and ultimately leave the orgs.

At the 2014 national NOW conference, an activist submitted for approval an official resolution against Sharia law. Dr. Phylis Chesler elaborates in Breitbart:

“Believe it or not: Someone–bless whoever it was–actually tried to pass a Resolution against “Culturally Oppressive Laws Against Women and Girls.” All the resolution called for was a public education campaign. However, it specifically singled out Sharia law and listed the human and women’s rights violations performed in its name: forced veiling, forced child marriage, normalized beating, honor killing, purdah, stoning to death, hanging, and flogging for non-compliant women.

Please listen to the language of NOW’s resolution: “Whereas, one of NOW’s official priorities is to eliminate violence against women…we urge NOW members to educate law enforcement, educators, medical professionals, and community leaders to the danger of Sharia law.”

We have laws against polygamy, but the Mormons and the Muslims (their religions are VERY similar, and male-dominated) use “religious rights” to evade the law. Besides, there are piles of government-paid lawyers just foaming-at-the-mouth to take their anti-Christian case.

When you say “Mormons” and polygamy together, you should specify what are called “Jack Mormons.”
They are not a part of the Salt Lake City Mormons which are monogamists and have been for many years.

And, which is their ‘child molesting cult?’ I haven’t heard of them.
When I was around Mormons I never heard or any talk about Mohamed.
I know that in the early days, after the founding of the church, the Christians did unchristian like activities against them. Now that you mention it, what the “Christians” did was more like the Muslims of today! That was in the old days when Joseph Smith was still alive.

Never heard of the massacre you mentioned. Who did those nasty old Mormons pick on that time? Indians? Jews? Who?

And, who told the tale?

Sounds like you have trouble getting along with people. A proper attitude has always helped me. I lived there (SLC) for a while back in the early 50s, never had any problems. Lots of really nice people.
BTW, if I remember correctly, Mormons consider themselves a Christians religion.

First of all, I make no claim to being a Mormon, just have been around them a lot in my youth. Have read a lot of their books. Haven’t seen any indication that any Mormons, either of the SLC variety or the so-called “jack Mormons,” except polygamy. And, the “Jack Mormons” are the only ones I know of that cling to that — in spite of the federal laws.
And, I do not go for the perversions of the Islamic faith that you claim for the Mormons. Don’t know any American that has.

You really should look up the psychological term “projection.” Seems that you are using it to justify your habits and proclivities.

The “jack Mormons,” who call themselves “fundamentalists” do go by the original way. Brigham Young, I understand had multiple wives.
But, when the feds told the regulars (based in SLC, Utah), they stopped the practice of polygamy. The others left and went on their own.

As far as your idea of a “false prophet and counterfeit Jesus” I doubt that you are qualified to know.

Jesus did come to America (read He Walked The Americas by L. Taylor Hanson ) –very interesting! And, yes, He is mentioned in the Book of Mormon as having come to this country.

George E. Smith
George E. Smith

Yes, Brigham Young had multiple wives. But, from what I understand, not after the federal government nixed the practice.
The so-called Jack Mormons stayed with the practice and once in a while you hear something about them. I heard them mentioned in some news in Arizona a few days ago. Didn’t catch what it was all about, just that they did something to get in the news. I’ve seen videos about them and their polygamy, but otherwise don’t know much about them.
I have lived around a lot of the SLC Mormons, have enjoyed their company. But that was long ago.

Wikileaks shows 55. But, not all at the same time. The first wife, for example, died at a young age a few months after marriage.

Just think of all the women he made room for in his house. Fed them and clothed them. None of them had to cook, clean house, or do the dishes all by themselves!

All the wives could sit around the house after the work was all done and could chat with each other, didn’t have to walk home afterwards in the dark, all by themselves!
What a guy to give all them women a fine home, life, etc
LOL!.

Thank you for exposing the sickness of Mormies. Don’t forget Joseph Smith, the founder of mormonism admired MohamMUD, not Yeshua, which makes it obvious why Mormies reject alcohol despite the fact Yeshua made H2O into wine.

I did nothing of the sort. I have always admired the Mormon people as a kind, gentle honest, and upright people.
The Mormons generally do not engage in the drinking of alcohol (I’ve known some who did!) — not because of religious reasons — such as “following Mohamed,” (I never heard of the guy until long after I left Mormon territory!) but rather for health reasons. It’s in the Doctrine and Covenants, if I remember correctly.
As far as the “sickness of Mormies” I think you have them all beat on that score.

George E. Smith
George E. Smith

Did you study it from/with Mormons or just someone that doesn’t like Mormons? Did you study it first hand — reading the books of the faith, or just as a, say, college study?
You have to realize that the Book of Mormon is the record of a people that left Jerusalem about the time of the Babylonian captivity days (~600 B.C.) and came to what is now America.
There was a big falling away from the Jewish faith and practices about that time — hence the captivity!

As far as whether he came to what is now America, you might want to get the book: He Walked the Americas. It is a bunch of stories told by Indian Tribal people when interviewed by the author, L. Taylor Hanson. (No, it wasn’t America then, but still the same land and he did walk here.)

And, BTW, Jesus also spent a lot of time traveling the Far East between the ages of 12 and 30.

He was probably the most traveled person of the age in which He lived!

I saw Islamic polygamy up close when I lived in Egypt, Syria etc. many years ago. It is spiritually, morally, ugly beyond words. Polygamy is the next domino to fall on the way to the destruction of the family in the West – and then of course three, four, five gay guys or women marrying each other – or does one get to be the ‘husband’.

Given the SCOTUS gay marriage decision we can expect to see polygamy legalized here within 5 years followed by bestial marriage/relations. Polygamy is already ignored in the UK and Germany has beastial brothels (seriously). Yale is already beginning to normalize pedophilia as being innate and this is already showing up in leftist MSM rags like Salon. The slippery slope people were right.

Since it (the Constitution) is the “law of the land” it is something every American should study. Everyone should be apprised of their God-given Rights!

But, the “progressives” and “liberals” don’t want to follow it and seem h#ll bent on taking this country back to a caveman type culture (biggest club wins!) !

And, people that know their Rights are a pain in the you know what to them!

After all, how can you set up a tyranny when the people have, know and stand up — as a people, for their God given Rights?

Think about the way things are in China. To reduce the population they set a policy of only one child per couple. Nobody wanted just a girl, so any girl babies were aborted by the parents.
Any children over the allotted one child limit was aborted by the government.
Wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of the young Chinese males someday go invading other countries for women.

Apart from the fact that out of respect for the innocent torture & death victims of sadist, theist tyrant & racist slaver Muhammad & his minions till today I radically condemn Muhammadism & want it banned, I as man living an unwanting single-life without wife & sex-life now, imagine that the voluntary, consentual relationship-model of two wifes or more girls could be great concerning the group-sex experience & because of the social togetherness & also because the women can sexually stimulate & help each other. I imagine this realationship-model could be fun & totally fulfilling.

Sidenote: Imagine you’re an atheist, have a girl you don’t get along with so well but well enough for a marriage & kids but still are looking for the perfect bride. With the prospect of more than one wife one can take the next wife-option into account & relax with the wife one has plus still be on the lookout for the “perfect bride” without having to terminate the old relationship. Or you have a white girlfriend, don’t want to miss the chance to make a child but would want really an African wife to make kids. If it’s consensual & not a taboo-subject one can realize this with all being happy.

There have actually been calls for it to be legalised in Italy….by an Italian convert to Islam. He had the nerve to justify it, by arguing that an ‘increase in Muslims would add to the working population’ in that country. Excuse me?!?! What?!?! We are talking about male Muslims (working age) who have a rough average of a mere 38 percent employed and working in EU countries…..and about 20 percent of Muslimas. The rest all take welfare. In France, Muslims account for 10 percent of the population and 70 percent of their prison population. In the UK it is 5 and 28 percent respectively.
