A Tale of Two Students: Clockmed and Levi

101

[the_ad id=”81586″]

Sandy High Oregon High School student Levi Frunk has been suspended and will miss playing in his homecoming football game, because of a homemade phone charger he was using in school. He was suspended and he wasn’t Muslim. Hmmmm.

Was he suspended because he was Jewish? Would anyone even suggest that, even though hate crime against Jews is nearly 60% (where anti-Muslim hate crime is 11%)?

Story continues below advertisement

Where is this boy’s invitation to the White House, President Obama? He actually invented something, not like bomb-hoaxer Clockmed, who merely dissembled a digital clock (and admitted in an interview with the Dallas Morning News that he knew before even going to school that the device “looked suspicious” ).

Unlike Clockmed, who had a checkered school record, this young man Levi Frunk has an exemplary school record, one of the smartest kids in the class, and he actually did invent something, a homemade phone charger.

Unlike Ahmed, he cooperated with school officials, and authorities and answered their questions.

Unlike Ahmed, he didn’t cry “judeophobia” or “Jew-hatred.
Unlike Ahmed, there are no tête–à–tête with President Obama, the UN dignitaries, the chairman of Google or engraved invites to meet with world leaders.
Unlike Ahmed, he is actually very smart.
Unlike Ahmed, he didn’t sue the school district and city and then leave the country.
Unlike Ahmed, he didn’t then return to this country and file more lawsuits against FOX News, The Blaze, Jim Hanson, Fox Television Stations; Ben Ferguson et al.
Instead, Levi Frunk said, “I’m a little upset I can’t play in my game tomorrow, but it was pretty fair.”

“High school student suspended over homemade charger,” FOX News, September 25, 2016

SANDY, Ore. (KATU) – A Sandy High School student has been suspended and will miss playing in his homecoming football game, because of a homemade electronic device he brought to school.

To many it looked like a bomb, but to Levi Frunk and his family it was just the latest creation from a very smart 15-year-old.

In reality the device was a homemade charger he used to charge his phone. He took it to Sandy High School and left it out in a locker room to charge his phone during weight training.

His coach saw it and called security. He started evacuating the area.

Frunk quickly cleared up the confusion, but the damage was done. He was suspended for a day and a half.

“I’m a little upset I can’t play in my game tomorrow, but it was pretty fair,” he said.

In hindsight he admitted it was a bad idea and that to many people it looked like an improvised explosive device.

His family is laughing the whole thing off, realizing not everyone understands Frunk like they do.

“He’s super smart. He’s always built things, he’s always taking things apart,” said his sister, Kiki Stonebraker. “I guess just knowing my brother and growing up with him, that stuff was laying around our house all the time.”

The school district said because students were asked to clear the area of the locker room, and because of what the device looked like, Frunk was suspended for disrupting school, which is a violation of the student handbook.

Just like the Islamic world has always found as soon as they run out of civilisations that are more advanced than Islam then progress within the Islamic world stops. Just like the leftists who claim that socialism is the best way for any society when they run out of other peoples money socialism fails.
Islamic civilisation fails as soon as it runs out of non muslim lands to conquor.

There is a reason for this, and that is because it is considered within Islam that “reason” (that is to say – thinking, and as a consequence, creativity) is the enemy of Islam. This has been reiterated many times over the centuries by Muslim clerics. The reason it is so considered is because Mo is the fount of all wisdom and cannot be improved upon. Hence zero creativity, zero contribution, and zero progress.

Obama liked Clockmed because besides of causing everybody to fall into a trap of “Islamophobia” by his own deliberate (well rehearsed ahead and planned) actions, he shared one more factor with him besides adherence to Islam: the color of his skin (not that there is anything wrong with it) happens to be almost exactly like his own. Why both of them (plus plenty of others) fall into trap created by Mohammed, originator of that whole ideology called Islam, since Mohammed himself was described to possess WHITE skin (nothing wrong with that either), is beyond my understanding.

So, we have a well rounded student who plays football and is into electronics and he gets squashed like a bug with no white house invite or 20K worth of Microsoft goodies. All because of the color of his skin. Yes – this country has an institutional race problem – with smart, athletic white kids.

Thanks Obama!

The chemistry sets of the day would have been transported by hazmat battalions today, back then, every kid had one, used it and actually learned something with them. One of the guys in science class developed home made x rays with a piece of photographic paper in an envelope that was held agains the side of an old radio using high voltage rectifier tubes, when developed, there was a crude picture of the bones in someones hand. Now they just look it up on the internet, not nearly as much fun.

I guess you’re referring to the “devastator” bullets? These were just gimmicks that never worked as advertised. Imagine sticking a primer inside of a hollow point bullet and firing it. It won’t cause any extra effect other than perhaps detonating inside of the barrel and reducing a muzzle velocity.

However, in railguns… Very different story.

“Loaded” projectiles are a long standing tradition of the hate killings. If you want your target not just dead, but double and triple dead, you use the bullets loaded with poison and/or or explosives. And yes, AFAIK “explosive” bullets fortunately didn’t work as advertised in Hinckley/Reagan case too.

Firecracker fuse stuck into a cigarette, placed under the potty. 🙂
The phone charger looks like quite a project. It does look a tad suspicious so I see no problem examining it just to be safe; but that should have been the end of it. The kid does not deserve severe punishment. Clocksucker boy, on the other hand, does deserve severe punishment.
You must remember, Oregon is where the 2 fat lesbians sued the cake bakers and the state fined them $135,000 and also took money out of their bank account. Oregon has a self-proclaimed “bi-sexual” governor (her only claim to fame), and they have had more than one Islamic terror incident – one was the “Christmas Tree Bomber” who was going to detonate a barrel (or was it a truck full) of explosives at the Portland Christmas tree lighting celebration; they also had the Umpqua Community College shooting where the shooter asked his victims if they were Christians and shot the ones who said yes. I think there have been others but can’t recall off top of my head. Yet, the Oregon “bi” governor welcomes rapefugees into Oregon – yes, she’s a DemoncRAT.

Firecracker fuse? Meh. Try a piece of ferrocerium (cigarette lighter flint will do). Smoke a cigarette until the flint starts glowing yellow, then flick it with your finger towards the target, preferably aiming at the hard surface for a better effect.

Not really. Once molten, ferrocerium is protected by a thick sturdy layer of crust, and goes critical only on impact. If you smoke that loaded cigarette past a certain point, flint just falls on the ground making small fireworks under your feet. However, when properly flicked, it’s a flashbang without much bang and tons of flash.

I am a post-grad degreed engineer, literally into electronics since childhood, and began soldering simple circuits and timers on breadboards with chips, capacitors, and resistors in my early teens.

BUT HERE’s THE DIFFERENCE… I HAD TO BACK UP my “hobby” with MATH GRADES to affirm my “devotion” to the “field of science”, which I acquired through
high disciple and many hours of personal sacrifice, eventually winning COMPETITIVE SCHOLARSHIPS (as opposed to “grants”), whereas if my grades (GPA) ever fell below 3.75 on a 4.00 scale, it was “too bad”.

From what I’ve seen of the photographs, the disjointed concoction “clockboy” tried to pass off as some kind of “creative engineering masterwork” literally does look like a disassembled clock. In laymen’s terms, he’s an academic PLAGIARIST, who took credit for “creating” something literally manufactured by commercial industry.

The very fact “prestige schools” and a math-illiterate president are clamoring to bestow scholarship upon him, regardless of academic merit, simply validates how far Liberalism has permeated social discourse; hearsay has superseded mathematical reality in pursuit of the lowest common denominator…

No where does this show more than in “Obama Doctrine” double-standards, subjecting this kid in Sandy HS to discipline. Think about it.. when WAS the last time any liberal politician prioritized anyone but “certain demographics” as their first concern in decision making?

One has yet to hear of “clockboy’s” command of mathematics, AT THE LEVEL OF COMPETITIVE SCHOLARS, beyond dollar amounts discussed in lawsuits. If this kid can’t “back up” his “devotion” to “science” beyond grinning at every accolade received, “facing his folly” would be a far better lesson learned than perpetuating it for the sake of political correctness…

Where I worked, direction drilling has evolved to becoming the normal way of doing things, the construction for roads to well sites is expensive and ecologically invasive. One place I was at had about thirty wells per pad all directionally drilled, some with multiple compilations, all set for thermal production, originally steam drive, some huff puff, others sagd. Made for some interesting discussions, and incredibly dull productions meetings.

The pads I was on seldom drilled more than 6 horizontal shafts. The pads were on private or Native American land. Most of the wells drilled vertically to just below 10,000 feet, curved to about 10,500, the went horizontal two more miles with the precision you described.

amazing that can become with a computer that works and a bit of knowledge of the physical phenomena of drilling a hole the ground. We had an experiment using I think it was 64 horizontal wells in a three dimensional “grid” with some producers, others electrically heated. Thermal production can be fun. The accurate of the grids was incredible. Production, not too bad, could have been better.
Normally the reservoir at about 1800 ft was being produced, mostly tar sand.

At clock boys age I designed and built an LED light sequencer from the free parts 3M gave my high school electronics lab. I looked up the IC’s they gave us, played with them to see what they could do on a breadboard, designed a circuit and a driver board that could handle 5 amps per channel. I did the circuit board layout and manufacture myself(we had our own in house photographic process). That design won awards at the national level and I was given several plaques for my work. And like you I had the math grades to go with it!

I also got my ham license at age 14 in 1974! I built a lot of my own equipment from stuff scavenged form TV sets! The ever popular 6L6 cw transmitter is one! The circuit diagram was in many of the ARRL handbooks with instructions for coil winding. Pictures showed how others had built it but I always changed things to fit what I could scrounge for parts!

This has parallels in my ramblings and comments. I do remember when responding I’ve answered something like this before; (Hey, at least the remarks are consistent, reinforcing their honesty- )

It’s funny, DISQUS doesn’t allow repeats of exact responses, and has prevented me from responding a few times with something akin to “you have made this remark already”, and I had to change a few words…

‘laughing it off’ ????

This is the reason we’re losing. Laughing everything off when a case comes up.

Before Clockbombhoax Boy, a suspension could be warranted for causing a scare.

After Clockbombhoax Boy, no one should let the schools or the system question a small home-made electronic device.

Far from giving in to the ‘scary’ device narrative, we should encourage them to sue for profiling the young man. They should ask serious questions: Is it likely he would have a bomb? Is he a troublemaker? Has he every spoken of killing people? Really? No? Then why should you profile him? Are you anti-Semitic? Are you a bigot?

What we’ve done is establish a new level of dhimmitude: Muslims can take Improvised Electronic Devices into schools (and likely everywhere) without regard to the likelihood that the IED might be a device of improvised Jihad, but non-Muslims cannot bring an “IED” despite all common sense.

This is the result of allowing Lietards to change the narrative from Muslims likely to carry an Improvised EXPLOSIVE Device to Americans likely to carry an Improvised Electronic Device.

Does anyone think the average modern teacher can tell the difference between a pipe bomb and a homemade calculator? Only an idiot who thinks Muslims should not be profiled if they show up with a pressure cooker, but a Jew should be profiled if he shows up with an electronic device would confuse the two.

Given that one school was in Texas and the other was in Oregon, I doubt religion entered into the mind of the Oregon school officials. If he wants to do experimentation, he can do so on his own time.

Um,
The COACH is who disrupted school. The kid just had his charger in his locker.
Let’s suspend the coach…and other administrators…for overreacting without asking a simple question of the student.

Maybe if he had decorated it with rainbows?

When i see the continuous string of events that happen related to religious discrimination meant to promote the leftist agenda it no longer stimulates cognitive dissonance but feelings that a true governmental conspiracy is being promoted to undermine our western existence. It so day and night when comparing the two that its like some fictional story brought to life of the masses of ignorant slowly being taken over by the forces of evil.

Clockboy’s sister is a jihadist and she helped him take apart a clock and fitted it into a briefcase, to deliberately simulate a bomb. He is not smart, he is atypical shyster.
The Jewish kid is, in usual fashion, being lumped in with the islam savages.
Funny, for the SUPER liberal Oregon (where I grew up), this seems like a really shallow hate crime of intolerance.
No, no, he will get no White house invite.

How is this article different than the outcry of Muslims after the homemade clock incident? It’s not. And the difference is that Ahmed was handcuffed, humiliated, abused, and jailed. Would he have been treated that way had he been Jewish? Your article made Ahmed’s point, not yours.

Remember NASA ‘s main mandate under Obama was to make Muslims feel good about their non-existent scientific contributions to the world (3 muslim Nobel Prize winners in science, a few more for humanitarian pieties, like Obama). Jews make up 20% of all Nobel Prize winners despite making up only 0.2% of world population. Little Clockmed did what Muslims do best – invoke terror – but this time using a fake (luckily) ominous-looking “invention” knowing full well that anyone bringing such a scary contraption to school would be pulled aside, questioned about it, and/or suspended (like the Pop Tart gun kid), all with the pre-meditated intention of suing for discrimination. Litigation jihad is one thing Muslims do very well. Muslims are parasitic, looking to collect Jizya through our courts over and over. Jealousy of Jewish accomplishments overlays and reinforces Jew-hatred in the Koran. Of course the well-behaved, high-achieving, smart Jewish kid was expelled. What else would you expect?
